I visited Tasting House last night for my birthday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, Bryan made us feel incredibly welcome. He was attentive, friendly, and really made the evening feel special. It was my birthday, and he went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. We opted for the tasting menu, and WOW, each course was an absolute masterpiece. The presentation of each dish was nothing short of stunning, showcasing the attention to detail and artistry of the kitchen. The flavors were exceptional, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. It's clear that this French restaurant doesn't just focus on taste, but on creating a complete sensory experience. Bryan's expertise and thoughtful wine pairings added another layer of enjoyment to the meal. He really took the time to understand our preferences and recommended wines that complemented each dish perfectly. The overall experience was seamless from the impeccable service to the gorgeous dishes and top notch wine. I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. A huge thank you to Bryan and the team at The Tasting House for making it so special. I'll definitely be back for another unforgettable experience!

Wow! What an incredible experience! JP was an incredible host. The champagne bar is quaint and intimate. Cindy was there as well and just brought such joy and energy into our experience. They were setting up for a big Oktoberfest extravaganza happening later in the day but treated us like royalty while having to do so many other tasks. I can't wait to go back!

Even though it's not that far from San Jose, I'm not as familiar with Los Gatos as I could be. I wasn't quite sure where to park, but there is a parking lot behind this place. It wasn't too hard to find and there was a lot of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I came for the afternoon tea. Apparently they do this every Friday and Saturday afternoon. This was one of the most luxurious teas I've been to. They had someone playing the piano in the background, and we were seated with footstools to put our purses on. Everyone in the staff was helpful and gracious with pretty much every weird demand my party had! The food was really good. The sandwiches were actually pretty unique, particularly the one that had a quail egg on it. I did think the scone was super tiny, like maybe a bite of scone! The clotted cream was larger than the scone. The desserts were pretty exceptional. They said they are from Fleur du Cocoa nearby - gotta check that place out. Oh and the tea they served was really great quality tea. I got the darjeeling and it was very velvety tasting. At the end of the meal, they asked us our names, and the hostess gave us each a personalized thank you card! I felt like they really went the extra mile to make this a unique and luxurious experience. With tax and tip, it is almost $100 which is a little pricey but I actually felt like it was worth it. We didn't do any of the add-ons but you could add on champagne or caviar. The cheese add-on sounded good, as did the fries. I think if you were extra hungry, that would be a good option. I also now want to come back and try them for dinner!

Overall 3.5/5 This is our second time eating at the Tasting house. The food last time seemed to be better than this time. The menu changes seasonally and often so none of the items on the menu this time was the same as our first visit. Ambiance 4/5- we sat outside this time and it was not busy nor noisy at all. The street where Tasting house is located is pretty quiet. Service 4/5- attentive service, expected from this price range. Food 3/5- The corn soup was really nice. The steak was a let down, it was cooked to a rare to medium rare and it just seems odd for a skirt steak. I normally like my steak medium rare so it wasn't the doneness but more the texture of the steak being a bit on the chewy side. The fries was also not as "skinny" as I would like but that's ok since is rare to find bistro that serves the very skinny fries one finds in France. The octopus was good, nothing to complain about but for the price it was also not exceptional. The wine by the glass is on the pricey side. Their claim of flame seems to be having 65+ wines by the glass so not surprise, but still pricey!

Wow! I only recently found out that the Tasting House was offering Afternoon Tea Service Priced at $75, the service includes: Sandwiches: Served on house-made milk bread. Scones: Freshly baked served with clotted cream and preserves. Pastries: made in-house daily, includes cream puffs, financiers, and petite fours. My photos don't do these delicious pastries justice. There's inside and outside seating. Inside seating is elegant and welcoming. There was a pianist that added to the ambiance of the restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we requested to be seated outside, they happily accommodated us though I think the preference is to setup the afternoon tea inside the restaurant. So big kudos to them for being accommodating. All the pastries were absolutely delicious. I have been to many high teas in England and in Indonesia and this can easily be in my top 5. The experience was a 10 out of 10. I'm especially happy that this gem is pretty much in my backyard. I could come here weekly if possible. Presentation is everything and Tasting House knocks it out of the park. I shouldn't give away their adorable surprise at the end of your dining experience but you get a lovely scented hand towel with the most delicate of flowers on the hot towel with a personalized handwritten note card thanking you for dining with them. I was not expecting that, as I've never experienced that at any other restaurant. Parking can be limited as there is a small parking lot very close by, but you can also find other parking if you don't mine walking a few minutes.

I stop by for the live Jazz on Fri/Sat at 6 pm. Here's the food run-down: 4.7: Rabbit. Wery good rabbit sausage, and the sauce is outstanding. 4.6: Creme brulee with vanilla and tonka bean. The tonka bean is very strong; it has a very seductive flavor. 4.6: Sticky toffee pudding 4.5: Smorrebrod small plate 4.0: Basque cheesecake Each course has a wine pairing, with a 6 oz pour of wine. You can get a 3 oz pour for half-price. I have been impressed with all the wine recommendations.

We came here for Mother's Day afternoon tea. First time we've been here since it became Tasting House, though we used to come when it was Cin Cin Wine Bar. The food was all top quality and was delicious. They partner with Fleur de Cocoa for most of the sweet offerings. I honestly usually don't enjoy afternoon tea, my wife loves it, but I normally end up feeling like I ate a lot processed flour baked items. But this was much better than the usual. Three savory open faced "sandwiches" that were delicately seasoned and had nice touches like small bits of caviar with each bite. The scone and slice of denser loaf (I know that's a terrible description, but I'm not sure what the official name is) were both excellent. I only had a couple of the sweet items on top, because I got too full, but we're looking forward to enjoying them at home. We also ordered a side order of fries, which came with a lemon aioli and individual cute bottle of ketchup were great too, crisp and light, not oily. The tea selection was excellent as well. The food was one thing, but I'll tell you. What was really exceptional was the service. Everyone was so attentive, but in a nice, polite, friendly way. I'd imagine it's selecting genuinely nice, customer service oriented people, but the training program must be meticulous as well. We were just really impressed with the staff here and attention to detail. For example, when the tea comes out, they have one server per tea kettle to come out and pour the first cup for every member of your party at the same time. Such attention to detail is rare these days even at pricey places. They never seemed to take any customer for granted and even gave an individual thank you note to each person. They had a live string quartet playing music when we were there. Very skilled players too. Finally, the place was decorated in a very classy way, with attention to detail. Both the furnishings itself, the plates, the stool to let the ladies set their bags on. Whoever owns and manages this place is doing an exceptional job, as well as each individual who works here. Complements to you all - you made our Mother's Day outing really special and we appreciate all of your efforts. We'd love to try the main menu as well and look forward to coming back.

I came to try their new tea service and it didn't disappoint! We ordered the tea for 2 and got a glass of champagne to accompany. They have a long list of teas to choose from, my only complaint is there were no descriptions for the teas so it was difficult to figure out what was what. In the end we chose two different teas, and they come out in the CUTEST square tea pots. The tower of food was good! I wasn't a huge fan of everything but I really enjoyed getting to try everything. The vibes were fancy since it's primarily for wine tasting. The service was above and beyond! They were so attentive and helpful and even gave us a cute little note. This is a sit down and enjoy your time type of experience. We ended up staying for 2.5 hours chatting and snacking.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place sooner. This fine dining but accessible restaurant is incredible. We've celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here, dropped in for impromptu dinners, pregame beverages - it's good for it all. Chef is a creative powerhouse with a solid team in the kitchen who continue to fascinate us with creative and delicious dishes. Mary and the rest of front of the house make you feel as welcome as you would at a close friend's house. Their wine list is phenomenal. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in the heart of the neighborhood!

A friend suggested Tasting house to me, for our anniversairy dinner I checked the menu, I thought 15 tasting ? Seems a lot however I made a reservation for the 15 tasting menu worried that we wont finished it all up. Well ! We did, the samples were small and mostly light, hardly any carb. Everything from start to end! WOW!!!! This was to celebrate our 30+ anniversasry ! WOW! Both of us left the dinner amazed ! For successful marriage this was our most memorable experiences right here. We both were speach less at the end of the evening, we felt it worth every single dime we paid. The food was outsdanding, clean, carefully put together, flavorfull. The service was amazing ! Because we had the tasting menu we had multiple servers, they were all amazing, not to forget the ambience was amazing lively, if you want someplace quiet this place is not for you because they have live music on Saturday . Since we had the tasting menu for 2 we sat on this beautiful round table on the corner by the wine storage window glasses, so it will be easy for them to come in and out to serve the food, the chairs were so comfortable, we felt like a superiour. Instead of doing the pairing we purchased a bottle od red, we both loved it. With a surprise they took us to the tea room to end the evening with a tea ceremony, we didn't expect that and handed a little bag of tea to take home. So you know we went back to try their restaurant 11/2 month later! Our feelings were the same and will go back again soon! Tasting house is solid for all it has to offer
