THEY NO LONGER OFFER TO TASTE BEERS ON TAP. (Hopefully this will change but currently (8/11/25 - date of typing this review) they do not offer to taste beers on tap before purchasing) *I loved going here in the past and never had an issue with selecting a beer that I purchased because of being able to sample first before purchasing (I've been a customer since 2017). SUGGESTION TO THE OWNER(s): Maybe do a MAX amount of samples for customers to try like 2 MAX if you're worried about losing money from samples if that's the issue. I went here twice these past 2 weeks. I asked to sample a beer and I was informed that they no longer offer samples. Luckily I picked a beer and I ended up loving it. My boyfriend didn't enjoy his and would have known not to get it if he was able to sample it... flash forward this past weekend, we went here again. I double checked if we can order samples and the answer was no. We ordered our beers and this time I was un happy with the taste of my beer. My boyfriend suggested that I should ask to change it and the worse they could say was "no" and indeed the answer was a no. I purchased another beer and ended up getting what my boyfriend was drinking since I tried his. I asked the nice employee just to toss out my original beer... there goes $12 literally down the drain LOL. THE PROS: - The workers here are always kind and helpful - Wide selection of beers to purchase for home - Clean facility - Clean Restrooms - You can order from Stuft Pizza with the QR Codes on the table and they will deliver the food to you ** PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN ORDER FOOD FROM STUFT TO BRING TO IBU BUT YOU CANNOT BRING IBU BEERS TO STUFT AND VICE VERSA (STUFT BEERS TO IBU). They have clear signs posted regarding this too. 3 stars for the great customer service from the employees, clean facility and selection of beer to purchase. Minus 2 Stars for not being able to sample beers on tap before committing to purchasing a beer to drink in the facility.

Delayed review...cool spot! Nice hazy selection. Cool place to grab a drink and hang. Wide variety of drinks available. Pizza next door if food is needed. I remember the seating area being pretty bright. Easy parking on site.

There is a decent selection of beer, however they do not allow anyone to taste any beers on tape. So why go there if you can't try new beers without the very high trial & error cost of trying beers you really don't like. I do not recommend this place, when every other place always lets you taste beers before you select a beer you haven't tried before. The food section is also separate from the beer section, and you are not allowed to bring beer between the food and beer areas. Not worth trying this place, try somewhere else. Two thumbs down.

Been coming here for years not sure how I haven't rated it yet. Love the bottle shop. It's one of the most diverse in the bay area. The rotating beers on tap are usually very good as well. I like coming here for an easy and quieter place to watch sports sometimes while trying new beers. My only complaint is that it closes so early at ten.

Quite the brewery. The variety of drinks was astounding. The taste of the kombuchas and seltzers was actually surprising. Loved the environment with numerous television screens and the crowd that gathers for sporting events. One thing that really ticked this down to a 4 is the responsiveness. The place was relatively empty and we accidentally left a few items there asking to confirm if the items were indeed there. We returned 4 hours later into the rather empty taproom, few workers, and a ringing telephone line which they ignored. Good spot, I was icked.

We stop by here occasionally when we're in the area usually before catching a movie or when we (reluctantly) have to go to Great Mall (not my favorite place, lol). It's become our go-to spot for good beers without making a special trip. What keeps us coming back is their excellent beer selection - I've discovered some great ones here. The service is consistently good too; the staff is always patient and helpful. I appreciate the chill vibe . It's never too loud or wild, just a comfortable place to enjoy drinks and actually hear each other talk. While it's not huge, the space has a cool, laid-back atmosphere. If you're looking for a low-key spot to try some quality beers, this is definitely worth checking out.

Such an amazing time at IBU. They've got a vast amount of options from sours to IPAs to Ciders to Lagers. You really can get any and all. 2 sizes for your pour and it works good if you want to try multiple types of brew. I love the option to create your own 4-pack from all the craft options available. Food options are next door, you can bring food in but not cross the beers. Service was swift and plenty of parking can't really ask for more.

Most of the beer we ordered was to our liking but one had a very bitter taste . It was a 5oz pour of 7 beers we purchased that didn't taste good. Our beer tender said " it's our policy not to let you taste beer before you buy it" yet she poured it tasted it in front of us, then poured the remainder out. We tried the seven beers and one was not good at all. We asked if we could replace it with another beer and the manager said no but we could buy another beer. Let me get this straight I paid for a beer I'm not going to drink and flush seven dollars down the toilet then spend money on another beer I may not like because you won't let me taste it. How does that make any sense? This is bad customer service . They need a serious customer service class and need to learn that if you want customers to come back treat them like you care about them being satisfied with what they purchase. I have been to many taprooms and breweries that let you taste beer on tap to see if you like it before you purchase it. This is my first experience where they don't let you try a beer on tap you've never tried before. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great place for craft beer either on draft or carry-out (cans and bottles). Service is always friendly. Good down to earth crowd and a number of large TVs making it an excellent spot to watch sports. They don't serve food but you can order items for the adjoining Stuft Pizza and bring them into IBU. The only downsides are they high prices and the acoustics. The place will get very noisy when a crowd develops.
