My party of 6 were excited to snag a reservation but unfortunately all left underwhelmed. Besides the oysters and pearls dish, none of the other dishes stood out. The service was lacking as well compared to the other Michelin restaurants we’ve been to. They served my husband pistachios when he was allergic and luckily I caught it before he ate it. For a 3 star Michelin, we were expecting a lot more, especially for the price of the meal.

If you can afford the upfront cost, an experience at this restaurant is worth every cent. They say that a 3 Michelin Star status means it’s something worth planning your entire trip around, and that’s exactly what we did, with no regrets looking back.

The attentiveness and consideration of service here is unmatched. Our party was moved to a private dining room since they had the availability, and that elevated the experience even more. Their tasting menu is portioned perfectly, and of course each dish had a great blend of flavors and picturesque presentation.

I’ve tried a handful of tasting menu style dining experiences before, and while they were all generally excellent I could still find small nitpicks from portion sizes to pacing to taste and quality. When it comes to The French Laundry, my experience here has far outshone the rest and I genuinely cannot name a single negative aspect.

AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME! There aren't enough stars on here to do this dining experience justice. It was the most beautiful dining experience of my life. There were literal tears of joy in my eyes with the first bites. Meeting Chef, though, will go down as one of the most epic moments of my life. That flex, though. LOL

OMG yes! If my only dish I could eat for the rest of my life was the Oysters & Pearls, I'd be in heaven. What you don't expect about The French Laundry is how approachable not only the menu is, but how unpretentious the space and the atmosphere is - the music is all upbeat and contemporary. The staff is, as you would expect, super friendly. And the food - well it's what you've come for and what you won't be disappointed with no matter how much you've built the experience up in your head. I enjoyed every bite - even the one bite of lobster I had before giving the rest to my wife, because I really don't eat seafood. But by all means, make sure you get the Oysters & Pearls, you might be tempted with the supplement, but you'd be making one of the biggest mistakes of your life. Also, be prepared that the upfront cost is really just a down-payment - once you get done with the wine, you can easily double the cost of the meal. But it's worth it - because how often are you coming back?

Nothing I can express with words can describe how special this night was. My husband and I came for our 10 year anniversary back in October 2023. Our waiter and fellow staff made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. This experience went way beyond the food, it touched our hearts. The highlight of the night was when we realized the complimentary celebratory champagne bottle was a 10 year vintage, picked for our 10 year anniversary. Truly a night we will cherish forever!

Ok now the food! I chose the vegetarian menu and  I cannot recommend it enough. My husband got the standard menu and preferred some of my dishes over his! From the broccoli parfait to the mushroom meatloaf, I was blown away by the flavor and richness of these dishes.
