I'm easy going I kept it simple. Ordered 6 eggs scrambled and a blueberry muffin to eat. Eggs were as they should always be, muffin looked homemade and wasn't too bad. Friendly workers Small enjoyable place and kind of away from the chaos and hidden down a small street. Makes it nice and feel more at home for when it comes time to get your breakfast. You can sit or take er ta go. Easy start to a morning

It is dissapointing that a "coffee" shop doesn't know how to make espresso drinks. They have no idea how to make a proper Flat White. Only offered in 8oz. size, looked like an 8oz. latte. No microfoam, too much milk, boring! I just tossed it into the sink. Wasted 5 bucks. I did not see Cortados/Gibralters on the menu either. They should check out a how-to video by searching... whole latte love how to make a flat white video.

Absolutely adorable place. Been meaning to try Alta for years and luckily the busyness of this place has toned down a bit since I have waited! Obviously tried the famous vanilla/spiced dirty chai with oatmilk, and it was definitely good, very creamy and smooth, but felt it was missing something for me i'm not sure. The location is sooo cute with such a comfy patio. I loved how you can choose to do half-portions so I got to try the tuna melt and the smoked salmon bagel. Honestly wasn't anything crazy for me, but prices were great, location super convenient to take the stuff to the beach and overall great vibes. I can see why it's a hit!

I love this spot, but it's become rather inconsistent... I've been going to Alta fairly consistently over the past 10 years at least. It's always been an easy go-to spot for me. I now work super close to Alta & it's become a super easy option for a coffee or snack during the work week. I really enjoy the place, the workers are all kind, & the environment of the cafe is super quaint & peaceful. Their food & drinks are good, simple, nothing over the top. My only issue as of recently has been the inconsistency of their food & drinks. I order online & pick up at the counter pretty often & don't order anything crazy. I've noticed just small mistakes in my orders within maybe the last month or so. For example, a latte should have espresso in it, not cold brew. Sometimes when ordering iced lattes, I've received them made with cold brew instead of espresso, which makes the latte taste drastically different than if it were made with espresso. As well as small mistakes like ordering scrambled eggs & adding bacon for an additional $1.75, but then opening my order to only eggs. Or ordering a bagel with a side of butter, but receiving a side of cream cheese instead. The workers always fix it & they are very apologetic about it, which I appreciate, but it's gotten frustrating when I am in a rush on my 10 minute break & need to address it, when online pick up is intended for convenience. I will of course still be going to Alta, but hopefully the cooks or workers can take a little bit more time when looking at the online orders, because it just seems like the same mistakes keep happening. I really love Alta though & think it's a great spot aside from these small issues. :)

i've been here a couple times now, neither occasion being super memorable on being super good or bad. the pesto toast was pretty good, but the fruit didn't seem too fresh. the lavender latte tasted a little bit weird, but i still finished it. the next time i tried the iced vanilla chai with a shot of espresso that they are known for and it was good but superrr sweet. i would still go back and try other food and drinks from there, just not sure if the quality is worth the price. i do want to mention though that both times i went there, the service was great and everyone was very helpful. vibe felt like a cute little hidden cafe just tucked away from the main streets of newport beach.

I was looking for a brunch place for my visiting aunt and decided why not down near lido marina and found this nice hole in the wall place. I must say parking is free on Sundays? But I paid just in case since I did see the cops come here as well for the coffee. I must say the Alta coffee blend is delicious and brings a warming aroma when smelling the first sniff off coffee. Have to order prior to sitting so definitely waiting outside is a bit nippy cold so definitely bring layers early morning. The host and server were very welcoming and made sure we get seated and have what we wanted to eat. The eggs Benedict and breakfast Burrito were a definite hit! My mom and aunt praised how the eggs Benedict were so delicious they were asking me if they wanted to get more! Overall great experience and will definitely be back again!

I had heard of this place on tiktok as so many people were saying how amazing their chai is. I love chais, so I wanted to go try it. It was good, it tasted a lot like some of my other favorite places for chais that are on the sweeter, more vanilla side. I didn't realize before going that there was a very cute outdoor patio and made note that I need to go back for food next time! The line was quite long when I arrived, but service didn't take too long. They seem to move through it quickly. I really find this spot to be so cute and if I lived closer, I'd probably be there at least once a week!

I got a cold brew with sugar-free vanilla syrup. It felt like a lighter roast of a cold brew than typical . It was good, but I wouldn't say it's the best cold brew I've ever had . I am glad that they offered sugar free syrup . My friend got an iced chai latte with oat milk. She said that it was very good. the baristas provided good service. you order at a pop-up window outside there were other customers as well so we did have to wait, but it wasn't unbearable. It isn't a place that you sit inside , you just go to the window and then take your drink with you . The area is fun to walk around and there are some shops to browse . we had to park on the street, but we didn't have too much issue. they accepted contactless payment. The price was pretty typical and so is the portion. Overall, I did enjoy what I ordered and my friend really enjoyed her order . I just can't say that this place blew my socks off or anything. I would love to come back and review some different items if they were to invite me back.
