do not sleep on the taco borrachos, they were absolutely flavorful and the shredded beef were *chef's kiss*. love the ambiance of the restaurant, super chill. many options for seating, either at the bar, indoors, or outdoors on the patio. you can even choose from tableside service or order and sit down. love that chips and salsa are comp, which should always be the case for mexican restaurants, even if it is built into the menu pricing elsewhere. the salsa bar is one of the best i've ever seen with plenty of spice options to choose from- my personal fave is the avo salsa. let's not forget the drinks- the strongest margarita i've had in a long while and i regret not sharing it because after having one i was basically done for- lol. i love that cc is located in a shopping plaza that provides ample of parking- now that was during the weekday, not sure how it is during the weekend but i can see it being crazy during summer weekends. can't say it's "affordable" but it was certainly a great drinks and even greater food.

Walked to this cute restaurant for dinner. The server at the counter was pleasant and greeted us in. He said open seating everywhere including patio where we would order at the counter, get a number, and delivery to the table. Or full service in a certain area. We opted to seat on patio so we ordered at the counter. We received free chips with our order and they have a salsa bar with a few sauces plus limes. Our orders did not take long. My fish tacos meal with a draft beer and tip was about $34. My favorite were the tacos. Fish was tasty and seasoned well. Nice crunch and sauces. Chips were good. Rice and black beans could use more flavor. The patio was nice and we able to watch sports on a big screen. We all enjoyed our dinners and time there.

Got the mahi mahi tacos in the fat taco plate and yes they are fat! I'm pregnant and honestly after snacking on chips and salsa just one taco had me feeling full already. I actually liked the salsa bar selection, all salsas tasted great and so did the pickled onions. Unfortunately 4 instead of 5 starts for the guac. The guac tasted so acidic, like sour? But no not sour like lemon juice just acidic acidic lol. Sometimes when you use store bought lemon/lime juice it has that taste but if you use freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice it can taste like that if left too long in the fridge. The avocados in the guac looked fresh! Just unfortunately we couldn't eat our guac because of something wrong with the flavor. I'm sure it's usually good

Nice casual spot by the beach, perfect for a laid-back meal. The setup is simple and efficient: you order at the counter, choose your own seat, and they bring the food out to you. I had the California Burrito and enjoyed it. The flavors were fresh and it hit the spot after a day in the sun. Great place for a quick bite without sacrificing quality. I'd come back to try more from the menu.

Had dinner and drinks at Chihuahua and the outdoor dining is dog friendly, breezy and lively. The servers were super chill and accommodating. They asked if we wanted to split our bill per person from the moment we ordered, which was convenient. The Big Bowl was really refreshing and had good ratio of veggies and rice and lots of protein. The 4 salsas they offer with chips are all great. Though the chips were super hard/crunchy type and felt like it could impale you if you bit it wrong. The burrito was massive and easily shared between two people. Also had the Pina Loca with reposado instead of mezcal and it was terrribleee! Nice place for a quick stop by Newport!

Food is overall very good here. We ordered guacamole, steak fajitas with beans and rice, and fish and shrimp tacos. Steak was very juicy and tender, and the rice and beans were tasty. Usually, Mexican rice and beans at restaurants can be hard and lack seasoning, but here, they were flavorful and soft. Fish and shrimp tacos were also yummy. There were many varieties of salsas and they all had great flavors and levels of spiciness. My only callouts were the fish was quite hard and dry, and the steak can taste more like an American-style beef steak. Service was also nice and friendly. The cashier at the front counter just took our orders and explained the menu while the servers brought out the food fairly quickly. Ambiance has a cool modern Mexican vibe. They have indoor and outdoor dining areas and also a bar area. You can sit anywhere you want so it's very easy and casual.

What I loved: service, tacos borrachos you have some options here on what kind of service you want, whether you want to order at a counter or be served. we chose service and our waitress was great. the food came out very quick. also free chips and salsa is always great at a Mexican restaurant. the tacos were flavorful- and a good portion. something here did have a unique flavor - like cinnamon though. i had leftovers. it's a chill vibe as a tap room - great lil hangout spot.

First and foremost, I did not take any pictures as my cell phone died but the girls took one photo of the drinks. We went to this place after a nice time at Corona Del Mar; the reasoning was that our family pup turned 1 years old lil Ray of Sunshine! Dogs are allowed, hence the restaurant name! Her auntie bought two fat turkey patties and she loved her pup cup! The server Sam was on point with all the food. We ordered Shrimp Tacos, a Esquite bowl, a kid's Quesadilla, and the BIG bowl plus smokey mezcal margaritas x2 including a Bloody Maaaria! Extra Chips with Salsa verde and molcajete! Get it together all fantastic! Sam was an amazing server towards us 5 people plus doggie when we changed tables and asked for the heater to be on. Yes, we were cold! Check this place out!

LOVE this place! Food is delicious. I haven't gotten to try an alcoholic beverage yet, but my hubby did and loved the michelada. I love the openness and beachy vibes. Bartender was amazing! The horchata machine didn't work which was a bummer. But next time I'll give it a try!
