This is the worst company ever. 40k points gets you a place in nowhere Vermont without AC, early 90s furniture, a 70's thermostat still on the wall, and a bathroom that belongs in a motorhome with a toilet that doesn't flush. LITERALLY "banked" (ie paid extra) for these points just to stay is this hell hole.

When you call somebody and tell them they've won a vacation package, and you clearly state you are not trying to sell anything, then dammit don't try to sell anything. I asked more than once, and when I got there I found they were selling vacation club packages. And it didn't look like we had our ticket drawn; it looked like every single person who filled out a ticket was called. Scam!!! Unless you're looking to buy something don't go, and don't believe you won crap!

My wife and I went to a presentation at Orange County after entering at a Clipper game and later getting a call we are lucky winners. The presentation consisted of a slide presentation with images of exotic vacation locations appealing to most individual's desires... a tactic to flush out our skeptical mindset to the idea of a dream could be reality. Along with the speaker engaging the audience with games and prizes to lower our guards even more. The speaker showed us their booking interface and how easy and available to book a vacation rental. Honestly, I thought this was strange but later realized they were addressing (more like fabricating) a big issue with their business model. After the presentation, we sat down with a representative (junior person) and they went over the program. I could tell this person didn't believe in the product based on our questions on how he answered them. Plus, he wasn't even a member and has never taken a vacation from this program. We were later introduced to their sales person or closer. We asked many questions but the question of how available are these properties since they are signing so many people? We got a response that they are always acquiring properties to compensate membership growth. I didn't believe his answer because one, the way he hesitated and tone of voice was different from the other answers to our questions we asked and it was typical signs of someone lying. Two, the amount of members and number of properties wasn't proportionally in favor of available inventory if you average 1 week vacation per year with so many weeks in a year... the inventory wasn't there. Even with the above, we were caught in the moment and did signup even with some hesitation answers. We signed a number of documents, mostly documents protecting them as a company. After leaving their facility, my wife and I began analyzing what happened and the one thing that really raised a red flag during when signing documents into the program, they mentioned there was a 7-day cancellation. This was interesting because we weren't going to get access to the system for 1.5 months. Honestly, with today's technology, they could give us access immediately. They use the 1.5 months to go beyond the 7-day cancellation to avoid all the cancellations they would have if they allowed you to try the product with the option to cancel. They simply don't have a business if they did that. Instead, they choose the path to mislead people and trap them into a situation with a sub-standard product they can't get out. Legitimate companies allow you time to try a product or service with adequate time to cancel if they are not happy. With the 7-day cancellation and reading all reviews collaborating our concerns, it was apparent this wasn't a LEGITIMATE product. We cancelled before 7 days. Based on ALL the reviews, our experience, and questionable business practice, we didn't want to be stuck with a worthless product that we paid thousands, can't use, and can't get out of. I don't understand how this can be allowed and places like the Staples Center being the trap for these shady business practices praying on the weak STEALING their hard earned money. This is worse than buying a used car... at least consumers have the lemon law. Companies like these will continue to change their name to avoid the increasing negative reviews. Keep track of all their name iterations and see what is being said. If we raise our voices loud enough, we can stop shady businesses like these. For example, a few years ago the Government shut down billion dollar for profit trade schools going after kids from poor, single parent homes, single parents with over priced programs with worthless degrees... the government came in and shut them down. If you find yourself sitting at one of their presentation/pitch and you are reading this... get up immediately and WALK AWAY! @Yelp - You need to integrate an aggregation element for companies continually changing business names listed under the same ownership avoiding negative reviews. Please help consumers to avoid getting trapped working with businesses like this.

Words cannot describe how angry I am with this company. I wish Yelp would let me give GEVC negative stars. Here's the gist: my wife and I get the typical sales call that we won a free trip to Hawaii, airfare and hotel costs paid for. I call to clarify: can we book the plane tickets whenever we want or only on specific days? Joshua in Orange County said yes. Not maybe, but 100% yes. We could fly anytime any day paid for completely by GEVC. My wife and I go to the presentation at their Los Angeles office. They try to sell us. And honestly it's pretty cool. The cost is $10,875. But for us, they would cut $2,000 off. We told them we weren't interested, so the manager said he would give it to us for $5,875 plus three additional trips that would equal out the money we would pay to begin with. This is an awful sales tactic btw - selling it to people who don't want it for cheaper than the people who do. We decline, and they send us to the other room to get our free gift to Hawaii. The woman proceeds to sell us by saying she could give us a two year trial for $1275. We said no thanks, we just want the trip to Hawaii. Then, she tells us the trip is a Tuesday departing at 6PM through Thursday departing at 6AM, and she tries to sell us on a better Hawaii trip! WHAT THE HELL! I told her that the phone rep JOSHUA FROM OC told me we could fly any day. She said no. I'm about to burst in anger (I was a salesman for a couple years and hate how unethical sales can be) and I tell the woman that the only reason my wife and I were there was because Joshua told us we could get plane tickets any day and any time. And she straight up said he lied to just get us into the presentation. NEVER believe this company. It's a hoax. They're product clearly isn't good enough on its own, which is why they use so many unethical sales tactics. The only positive thing I have to say is that our saleswoman who was low on the ladder was great. She knew we weren't having it and cut the BS. Do not trust GEVC. They are full of horse crap.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT purchase anything from them. I paid my monthly fee of $138.93 along with the yearly maintenance fee for 5 years & never used it because it was never available for the dates desired. I called to verify my last & final payment only to be told that I had a pending payment for $60 & I'd still be responsible for next year's maintenance fee because I didn't cancel by October 1st, never ever will I refer anyone to you. In fact, every chance that I get, I'm going to tell as many as I can about how horrible your company is..

It's a scam. Don't waste your time. My mom went to some festival on Newport Beach and entered a raffle sponsored by Bank of the West, and ended up "winning" a 3 day trip. She gave it a shot, since it was through Bank of the West. She was told she had to go to an information session in Newport. She asked if it was a sales presentation, and the woman she spoke to was adamant it was not. Long story short, it was a timeshare presentation. In order to collect her "prize", she had to first buy into a timeshare.

Complete Scam and false advertising. After you "buy" the property, they charge you several annual fees, fees to use the timeshare you "own", fees for cleaning, etc so the cost of using the time share is the same as you would pay normally. They never tell you about these fees. Even worse you have to pay most of these fees even if you never use your time share. It's also impossible to book their properties as they are always full and most of them are 2 star or 3 star outdated properties in poor locations far from the main attractions. So in summary you don't save any money and you're constrained to poor property choices that are hard to book. It's a terrible investment. Buyer beware.

Don't go it is a POINTS scam!! They will only sell you points and your ANNUAL DUES WILL GO UP EACH year with no warning. So whatever you agree to know that you will pay more for it every year. Hire a travel agent and save your money. No way you can settle up with them after the 7 days cancellation. Even if you pay in full you will owe dues THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!

This place is the biggest scam and they should be considered criminal in my eyes. I went to a seminar and they lied thru their teeth. They said they have all these properties that are included with their way too high prices already. Not true & while I feel blessed to have only lost $110.00, it's still unbelievable to me that these scam companies are allowed to take peoples money. Read the other reviews; people have lost much more than me. When I went to book a vacation, there were no properties that didn't require add'l money to book them and nothing was available after Feb. 2019?! And the upgrade cost for 7 days for palm beach, FL for 7 days was $1200? Not to mention some properties state that you won't get a room with a view if booking through this company. Lawsuit anyone??
