One of the most underrated national parks in the country. Must visit if you live around Southern California or Vegas. It’s a 4.5 hour drive from Vegas. Totally worth it. We camped at Ryan campgrounds - beautiful for stargazing and the campsites are spaced just right. If you’re someone who is skeptical of camping in the wilderness, this is a good place to start. You don’t feel too isolated and at the same time don’t feel like your neighbors are too close to you. There’s wildlife like coyotes and harmless snakes. Attractions are the skull rock and Caprock is a nice viewpoint for sunset. A short hike from the campground is the remains of Ryan Ranch which is really cool. Hidden Valley and Barker Dam are two nice trails you can check out near by. MUST VISIT. The Joshua trees are truly beautiful and give out positive vibes. A treat to the eyes in the middle of the desert.

Joshua Tree NP was such a cool place to visit -- just three hours from LA in the pure desert wilderness. The park roads and trails were very well-developed, with cool places to explore. There are lots of boulders and rocks to climb, small hikes to undertake, and Joshua Trees to see! We spent two days here, camping overnight at Jumbo Rocks. Our favorite spots were the Chihuli Cactus Gardens and the Hemingway Rock Wall! Such a great place to visit and escape the business of modern, Internet-connected life :)

Joshua Tree National Park is Very beautiful national park to visit. We entered from the west entrance and exited through the north one, entering Arizona. Fortunately, the early September weather was very good. The sunset  is amazing, as well as stargazing during the night! The rare species of Joshua tree is not found any whether. The rock formation is amazing... Great place to visit..

Bring water and closed toed shoes. Enter the park from the North East entrance. Stop by the visitor’s center and grab a map. Go next door to Roadrunner for some extra snacks that you can eat on your adventure. The park entrance is unfortunately cashless so bring some sort of credit/debit card. Drive into the park about 2-3 miles and find parking. Pick a direction and start walking. Every 3 minutes, take in your surroundings and notice how everything keeps changing and growing. I am so grateful that some humans had the foresight to create this National Park and not allow anyone to destroy this magical place. Please clean up after yourself and pick up any litter that someone else might have left by accident. This is sacred ground.

Beautiful place, Joshua trees are so beautiful. Mountains and rock formations are so interesting. There are plenty of hikes with different difficulty levels. We love Arch rock, with all the rock around it, so much fun to climb and wander around. But you can enjoy the park by just driving through and stopping at each view point.
