Mattie was very hospitable and attentive!

We had pork belly for appetizer... Sublime flavor and texture. The crispy meat layer contrasts with the melt-in-mouth fat. There's also dried fruit and fresh apple to balance it out.

Roasted carrots are crunchy and go well with the herbs and fried shallots. I think the hummus could be less salty, but the amount can be adjusted to your taste.

Sword fish has good flavor like the rest. Texture wise, it's slightly firm and personally I prefer sea bass' over sword fish. But the relish and puree give it some creaminess and acidity.

The pumpkin souffle is quite unique. Not sure how to describe it. Overall delicious and has a strong scent and flavor from spices.

We enjoyed the entire experience.

We came here for NYE and the food never disappoints. Pre fixe menus are usually a hit or miss and this was 100% a hit. Each course was unique, tasty, and good portions. Safe to say no one left hungry that day! I ate the vegetarian options and those were just as unique and tasty. The service a little more chaotic that usual but that is probably because it was NYE. There were a few times we felt rushed but the staff was still really professional and accommodating.

We had a fabulous dinner at Herb & Wood. The restaurant and bar areas are beautiful. Our server, Zachary, made the dining experience even better. We started with the H&W old fashioned plus the non-alcoholic lemon and herbs drink, highly recommend both. Next we had the Baba Ganoush appetizer that was served with hot homemade Naan, it was superb. For our entrees we had the swordfish and the chorizo pizza plus the cauliflower appetizer. Everything was outstanding, the fish fresh and flavorful and the pizza was thin crust with apple, chorizo and cheese. Our bill came to $156 without the gratuity and it was worth every penny. It's not often you find a restaurant that has not only great food, but amazing service in a wonderful atmosphere. A plus!!

Creations done well! Herb and Wood is centrally located in Little Italy, with an urban industrial setting with refinement. We ordered the following:

Pork Belly: The best pork belly we have ever had. Crisp on outside but melts in your mouth. Great contrast of flavors, with uniqueness done well.

Off Menu Bread: Very unique butter but delicious and perfectly baked.

Carrots: The most complex flavored carrots! They were the best we have had. Highly recommend.

Swordfish: Perfectly cooked. Very well seasoned. Generous portion. Moist and flaky. The sauce paired great and it was the best preparation of swordfish we have had.

Overall, very happy with the experience. Generous portions, and very well thought out  dishes that were executed well alongside a great atmosphere.

Herb & Wood would’ve got straight fives. Absolutely the only issue we had was the lighting (it was a bit too dark inside). Great service! The Iberico and bourbon was perfect. The iberico pork was absolutely fantastic. The Sopressata pizza was also very good. However, we ordered it because it was described as having horseradish, but we could couldn’t taste any horseradish, not even a hint.
