I visited for the Valentine’s Day prix-fixe dinner. The service and atmosphere was great, but the food is just very average.

I had high expectations before coming in as I prepaid almost $400 for two. To start off, the dish portion is ridiculously small. One oyster, one scallop, one shrimp, one ahi roll, and two slices of steak plus dessert (which is too sweet) and some veggies are far from getting either of us filled. I should at least be full walking out the restaurant for over $400 of the meal. The food tastes okay, but definitely not impressing and interesting. I’ve had similar food that’s far more amazing and filling at other places for just around $100 per person. Totally not worth the $$$ and would not go to any prix-fixe dinner at this place again.

Also, we reserved for the indoor bar seating because by the time we booked there was only bar or outdoor left. I don’t like cold so I chose the indoor option. However, they left the doors and windows all wide open. I guess it’s easier for them to walk to and serve the outdoor tables? But indoor seats are SO COLD. The outdoor seats got heaters but indoors don’t, so I feel like it’s even colder than outdoor seating. What’s the point of indoor seating if you’re gonna leave the doors and windows open and let the wind inside?

This place was not my first choice when I booked but other places I wanna try are all filled. Given that they have a special menu for Valentine’s Day and they charge so much (again, over $400 for two) which sets out expectation high, my partner and I are so disappointed at what we got, it’s a waste of money.

Really awesome Vietnamese spot! The hostess was so lovely and were able to sit my party of 4 by just walking in which was so kind of them since we were visiting from out of town. We sat on the patio with the comfy heaters and were cozy all the night. The service was fast and the drinks were spot on. The waiter gave amazing recommendations and everything we tried was cooked to perfection! Do not miss out on ordering the duck, it literally sells out before 730pm, you won’t regret getting it! Would 100% go again.

Our server was great and all the food we tried here was amazing! The desserts were spectacular and every dish before that was so fresh and amazing you could really absorb the quality of the fresh produce! Beef tartare, wagyu, egg noodles, were so well delivered and won us over. We also enjoyed the cocktails like nine dragons, sesame, Saigon Moped were unique and tasty in their own theme

A truly exquisite Vietnamese culinary experience located in the heart of San Diego. Our bartender, Van, was highly skilled at making well balanced drinks, offering selections, and ensuring the timing and amount of food was perfect for the two of us. The restaurant was well staffed and worked cohesively as a team to give a seemless dining experience. The only downside of the dining area is it can get rather loud with the acoustics, but sometimes it’s good to hear other people having a fun time. Each course we had was well crafted, had great color and texture, cooked perfectly to temperature. The aged duck was worth the hype we’ve heard about but our favorite were the cocktails from Van, can’t wait till our next trip here
