The food was excellent. I enjoyed the scallops, onion turnover, and fish balls. I did not get desserts or drinks. The atmosphere is amazing. Beautiful bar and restaurant. My only complaint was the portions of the appetizers were really small for the $20 price. I got 3 appetizers and my bill came to $60.

All the details simply make the Bar Crenn experience.

The presentation and service were exceptional, the cutlery and plating were also stylish.

As for the food, well.
I will remember the sesame seed cracker with beet caviar course for life!
I would hope to be able to come again.

Went there for anniversary drinks and wow, we were so impressed with the hospitality, drinks, and ambience. You wouldn’t think this bar existed off of Union street but so glad we found it. We will be coming back here again. If you don’t find what you like on the menu, they’ll literally make you the most delicious drink. My boyfriend got a “gentleman” which is their version of an espresso martini and it was absolutely amazing

I was a little underwhelmed by Bar Crenn. I guess it all comes down to expectations. The atmosphere and drinks are definitely good - not amazing though. The snacks they have available are also good. Given the reputation of the chef and the price, I was expecting a little more though.

For instance, regarding atmosphere, the place is inspired by a Japanese Hifi bar. The place does capture some of that vibe. And - there is a sound system and a lot of records. However, none of it was actually used while we were there. Could have just been timing though. That said - it’s a perfectly pleasant place to spend time.
