We had lunch at Chez Maman and it was an absolute delight! The menu offered classic French dishes, and everything we tried was fantastic.

We ordered the Croque Madame with a perfectly cooked egg on top, the rich and comforting Hachis Parmentier, the flavorful Chez Maman Burger, the buttery Escargots de Bourgogne, and the indulgent Baked Camembert.

Each dish was full of authentic French flavors, beautifully presented, and incredibly satisfying. If you’re craving French cuisine, this spot is a must-try!

Chez Maman is one of those spots that just gets it right. The pork chop I had was honestly delicious—cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The vibe is super homey and cozy, and the staff is warm and on point, making sure everything flows smoothly. It’s a chill yet elevated place to enjoy a good meal. Definitely a win.

Duck confit was an excellent lunch, very crisp skin but still tender. Really well done classic dish. Croque Madame got a good review from my dining partner.

Must get the French onion soup if you’re a fan, it’s excellent.

On a later visit, tried the burger. It was good enough by itself. Fries were disappointing (a little soggy, small portion) but overall I was okay with it as the burger was only $20 and pretty sizable. Dining partner had a panini and it was excellent, really nice bread.

Service is always friendly yet casual. Great cafe with nice outdoor seating.

We’re local to the neighborhood, Chez Maman is now in our regular rotation.

My friend introduced me to French cuisine at this place when I met her for dinner in Hayes. We didn't have a set plan for where to eat, but this place made it onto the shortlist of options, and I'm really glad she chose it.

We ordered the Chez Maman burger and creamy fettuccine with mushrooms to share, and both were delicious. The burger was especially great, as I do not like classic American burgers with ketchup, pickles, iceberg lettuce, etc. The French version on a ciabatta roll with caramelized onions, aioli, and dark leafy lettuce was perfection.

The restaurant itself is not too big, so it's ideal for a date or catch-up with a friend or two. Don't wait as long as I did to try French cuisine. Come check this place out!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in San Francisco. It gets busy quickly, so I recommend visiting before lunchtime. We tried the onion soup, eggs benedict, and pancakes, and everything was delicious. The portions were large, but the food was so good we almost finished everything. They only have one restroom, so expect a wait during peak times, but overall, I highly recommend this place.
