This is one of my favorite restaurants in SF where I tend to take my friends or family for special occasions because the ambience is so beautifully unique and the food is amazing. Their pork chop is comparatively as good as the one in Nopa although the last time I had was a bit salty.  We had various appetizers which were all great . The lamb leg with Tunisian spices was incredible as well.  I’ve been to this place multiple times and if you are looking for romantic ambiance, I recommend outdoor seating where it feels like indoor with lots of heating lamp.

Visiting from out of town and had had FC on my to-try list for some time. I sat at the bar. While service was friendly and attentive, the food was average flavor-wise and I left hungry due to the small portion.

I had the scallops main and the seasonal (winter) pavlova dessert, which was the highlight. Scallops were about 4-5 small scallops in a spicy broth with rice but really bland and way too skimpy. Giving 3 stars because the pavlova was good, but leaving hungry after spending $80 including tip for one person was pretty disappointing.

Great dinner! Started with a cocktail and the winter citrus salad. Entree was the pork chop as recommended by my server. All very good! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive.

Pros: The pork chops were among the best I've had in my life. That's saying something as I've tried pork chops at a few Michelin star restaurants. The fried pork skin was among the best I've had and appetizers was great. I also enjoyed the movie. Service was top notch and my tab came to $70 including taxes and tip.

Cons: A bit too crowded and loud for my taste.

Overall I'd recommend coming here for excellent food.

Had a really good time here with my friend celebrating her recent promotion! I think this is a very romantic spot for girls’ night or for date night! It is definitely on the fancier side, so food was not inexpensive, we also got this bottle of champagne to celebrate.

Foodwise, we ordered the “5 Spice duck breast & leg” and “Steak frites! Grilled Wagyu Akaushi bavette steak” both highly recommend!
The duck we ordered medium, and was super tender and the skin was a great add.
The wagyu steak we ordered medium rare, and it was super tender and delicious. The fries were actually potatoes soaked in gravy which was much preferred by me!
We also ordered oysters which were fresh and sweet, would recommend if you like raw oysters.

Drinkwise we ordered a bottle of champagne. The champagne service was a bit slow, we kept having to ask the waiter to give us another pour. Otherwise it was a great bottle to finish.

Atmospherewise, the movie on the wall is a brilliant idea, and dining in the courtyard was super romantic - the lighting for the area was perfect, not too bright, and not too dark.

Will plan to bring my team here for team dinner events in the future!

Innan jag kom fram till middagen undrade jag hur hela middagen och filmen fungerade. Det gör det verkligen inte. Om du sitter utomhus, där det finns värmare vid varje bord, kan du se filmen som projiceras på en vägg. Du kan inte riktigt höra det. Folk tittar inte på filmen. Det är en gimmicky sak, inte en praktisk sak. Jag gissar att de som sitter inne inte kan se filmen alls. 

Med allt detta sagt, maten är utsökt. Det är inte billigt, men det är mycket trevligt. Vår fest hade fläskkotletter och biff, och sedan granita till dessert. 

Servicen var enastående. Vår servitör Attila tog väl hand om oss.

Fantastiska utrymmen, stor publik, fantastisk mat och service. Vi åt en härlig brunch, provade sommarsallad, pulled mozzarella, chorizoröra, poptårta, bara för att nämna några. Vår servitör var helt professionell och visste verkligen vad hon gjorde, samtidigt som han var lämpligt vänlig på samma gång. Reservationer rekommenderas definitivt!

Vi har en härlig middag inne i utländsk film. Maten var enastående och dryckerna trevliga. 
Det var dyrt, men med tanke på miljön och matens kvalitet var jag glad att betala det. 

Mitt enda råd till alla som inte känner till området - definitivt hålla sig borta från 16: e om du kommer med kollektivtrafik - ganska skrämmande på natten.

En härlig kväll tack vare den utsökta maten och härliga atmosfären! Perfekt datum natt plats eller intim middag med vänner!

Bokade bord för att fira min frus födelsedag. Härlig touch av personal som ger ett kort som vi kom. 

Vårt bord var nära till "skärmen" som var. goid, förutom att vi satt under en terrass värmare som gjorde upplevelsen lite obekväm som vi var så varmt! 

Även när du bokar vårt bord, den planerade filmen var Chaplin, så var lite besviken att finna att Casablanca visades i stället (ironiskt nog såg jag detta på flyget över från London! ). Under de första 30 minuterna eller så var det lite eller inget ljud. . . 

Maten var mycket trevlig, servitrisen var utmärkt. Allt som allt en härlig kväll!

Min partner och jag var i San Francisco för en lång semesterhelg. Vi var här senast för två år sedan. Vi hade söndagsbrunch på Foreign Cinema då och igen i helgen. Brunch, servicen och stämningen är alltid bra och det blir aldrig en besvikelse. Vi har haft den bakade osten, andmousse, kycklingkebab och Madame Missour.

En vän rekommenderade denna restaurang för middag. Vi stannade ute vid flygplatsen och körde till restaurangen. Vi saknade först dörren, gick runt hörnet och hittade den vid andra omgången. När du promenerar till denna plats undrar du om resan du ska göra. En gång inne var vi förvånade. Denna gamla teater har förvandlats till en restaurang. Tyst filmer visas på väggen när du äter. Massor av energi på platsen. Tur vi reserverade. Tror inte att vi skulle ha kommit in utan det. Maten var välsmakande, inte för omfattande meny, men tillräckligt med alternativ för att locka dina smaklökar. Min fläskkotlett var enorm, välsmakande, fuktig, helt enkelt gudomlig. Detta är den typ av restaurang du går till för ett speciellt tillfälle för att imponera på någon, visa dem att de är meningsfulla. Jag älskade absolut allt.

Jag rekommenderar starkt att du upplever Foreign Cinema; mat & service var fantastisk. Vi bokade sista minuten så att vi inte fick plats på terrassen där filmen visas. Jag föreslår att du begär ett terrassbord om du är särskilt knuten till att titta på den klassiska filmen. Maten mer än gjort upp för detta - jag kan rekommendera Chicken Masala (två bitar av stekt kyckling med en sida av hummus) & chokladpotten (som inkluderade en jordgubbmakron).

Min kusins bröllopsmottagning var här. Maten från hors douevres till dessert var fantasifull och smaskig. Något för alla med alla krav och allergier som beaktas. Personal gjorde ett utmärkt jobb som hanterade specialförfrågningar och levererade runt skrymmande fotogutrustning. Så mycket imponerad.

Vi har rest i 3 veckor över USA och detta skulle vara en av våra favoritplatser vi har varit på för middag, för mat och atmosfär. Färsk och smakrik. . . och fantastiska omgivningar. Bra service också! ! Definitivt en höjdpunkt på vår resa ur turistfällan. Tack!

Vi älskade atmosfären! Filmen, värmare, ljus, ljus alla gjorde atmosfären och atmosfären bra!
Tabellerna var lite nära varandra men det kan förväntas nu tror jag.
Jag skulle beställa svärdfisken och frågade servitören om det, och han föreslog att jag skulle få hälleflundra istället eftersom det var lite lättare fisk. Jag glömde fullständigt att nämna min allergi, och när maten kom, hade den hasselnötter med den. Det tog lite att få sin uppmärksamhet, men servitören tog det väldigt och kom tillbaka omgående med en ny, utan några nötter. Efter måltiden ursäktade jag mig för att inte berätta om min allergi och han sa att det var ok, eftersom han bara gav måltiden till en annan kund! Lite alarmerande som det hade varit minst 5 minuter framför mig innan jag kunde få uppmärksamhet, och jag åt en potatis!
Servitören var helt överväldigad och supportpersonalen hjälpte inte honom. Det tog åldrar för mitt vin att komma, så jag avbröt precis det som min man var färdig dessert innan han kom över till att kolla på oss.
Jag älskade maten. Allt var perfekt förberedt. Jag tycker att personalen behöver arbeta tillsammans som ett lag.
På en annan anteckning hade vi en drink innan i systervärdet som fästs, och det var likartat med att det fanns bara en servitris och borden var smutsiga och vi var tvungna att få våra egna drinkar i baren.

Älskade verkligen denna plats. Rekommenderas av en vän som älskar i SF. Mat var intressant och läckra. Varje kurs hade något lite överraskande som bara fungerade. Älskade den bakade getosten med gröna jordgubbar och även biffcarpaccio så fräsch och ren. Ingrediensen av grapefrukt till asparges var fantastisk! Vibrant busteling plats inuti och ut och baren fortfarande en bra promenad - i alternativ som serverar hela menyn.

Min man och dotter besökte denna restaurang på vår whirlwind turné i norra och södra Calif, och det var överlägset vår favorit! Det var helt enkelt en magisk upplevelse. . . maten, vinlistan, atmosfären och tjänsten. Ärligt. . . vi kunde inte sluta prata om denna restaurang. Jag sprider ordet! Min man äger en bra restaurang och han var så imponerad av utländsk biograf! Ni har en bra sak på gång. . . Fortsätt så! !

Jösses. . . var ska man starta? Maten. . . beställde hälleflundra. . . faktiskt verkade pocherade, eftersom det simmade i en grön viskös gloop som jag antar var fava bladet och bönorna "blandade" med champagne och nedsänkt där i den miasma var uppenbarligen fingerling potatis och vårlök och något som identifieras som "nasturtiums , "- Det var okej okej. Med allt det var det intetsägande och smaklös, eftersom viskositeten överväldigade ingredienserna. Allt detta för endast trettiotvå dollar! Vårt parti bestod av en aptitretare av "bakad" bläckfisk som kom på en liten rektangulär platta och innehöll alla tre små remsor av oidentifierbara partiklar belagda i ett rött krydda som liknade smaken av vad som kunde ha blivit calamari i ett tidigare liv . Den delade öken av valnötkaka med vad - ha - du var något du inte skulle vilja ha. Menyn är infunderad med ny matlagning. . . Oaxacan mole rojo - - - har varit i Oaxaca nyligen? . . . anka levermousse - - utan musen - - Evo olja, crema, grön vitlök - - i motsats till röd - - rökig harissa. . . att dö för! . . . Kishmish - - Vem älskar inte kismish? Vinhällan var så liten att ett pinky-test knappt rensade min nagel och satte mig tillbaka 16 dollar. Vi var i utomhus "bio", där en tyst svartvitt kornig skärm loopade en viss del av. . . O, broder, var du en oändlig slinga och det verkade att varje gång jag tittade upp där var George Clooney sång. . . "Jag är en konstant sorgs man." Jag var verkligen den mannen.

Våra barn tog oss till middag för min födelsedagsfest. Det var ett bra val. Personalen är artig ödmjukt uppmärksam på dina behov. Atmosfären på restaurangen är trevlig med dekorationer och bio. Maten var utsökt och massor av val på menyn. Definitivt ett bra ställe att njuta av middag och fester.
