We enjoyed our stay. It was very on-brand for Holiday Inn Express. The room and bathroom are spacious and basic, which sometimes is all you really want or need. Breakfast is included and you get to make your own order if it's cooked-to-order (pancakes, omelets, etc). It was pretty good breakfast. The front desk staff were very nice, particularly Derrick and Andre. You can get discounts on local restaurants if you tell the desk where you're planning to eat. You are within walking distance to all of Fisherman's Wharf, lots of shopping, and several rental car places.

This was a hotel room booked/reserved with only a few days notice for a medical procedure at UCSF.

The room had a king bed, a refrigerator, t.v. a desk a k-pod coffee maker w/k-pods.
The room was very clean, the bed comfortable & there were plenty of towels, hair dryer, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, a large closet, iron & ironing board & other amenities.
The room in general, was very nice & a excellent value. But, be prepared for the added expenses of fees for it being in CA & in a tourist town like S.F.

Valet garage parking at the hotel is very expensive!  But there are no other safe areas to park your vehicle for security reasons. Parking & leaving your vehicle out on the street for hours or overnight is NOT a secure option in most major cities in CA anymore. Even the elevators were secured. You had to use your room card to call the elevator & for the doors to open to go into the elevator.

Other than the basically uncontrollable on the uptick in crime & homeless all around in S.F. we would definitely stay there again!

This is my honest review:
This hotel is AMAZING! Nearby shops, no need to approach staffs that much because everything you need is there. Joseph the Valet is a great help too! It’s walking distance to the tourist spots near the pier, pet friendly and CLEAN! We stayed for 2 nights. We will be staying here everytime we visit San Francisco ♥️♥️♥️

cons: no smart tv, wifi isn’t the best
but if it’s just a place to lay your head, it’s perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So many of the rooms have a terrible view across a lighting gap in the architecture into another room. The ones with a street view are great though! I should also say, we like street sounds so the traffic noises didn't bother us at all. We were lucky enough to get moved into a street view room. (Andre was amazing and super helpful! We really appreciated him!) The rest of the room is very nice though: good beds and sheets, and nicely outfitted. I would definitely stay here again, so long as I can get a street view.

Overall, we got what we’d expect from a holiday inn for the price. The room was spacious and clean when we arrived. We appreciated how helpful / friendly reception staff were. The location was great. Really close to tourist attractions, north beach (little Italy) and a short tram ride into the city. You don’t need a car if you stay here. We appreciated the breakfast (but agree with prior reviews it wasn’t the best quality however it was filing and my parents stayed at a hotel down the street with no breakfast so it was overall, a plus).

Our only negative was that our room window faced into another hotel room which was under construction. There were builders basically outside our window from 8/9 am. There was absolutely no natural light through the window so the room was so dark during the day it was kind of depressing. We would only stay there again if we had a street facing room.
