Great spot! We stayed here 1 night because we were going to a show at the Regency Ballroom which is a 4 minute walk away. We stayed in a lovely 2 double bed room on the  22nd floor with a great view. The beds were very comfy with soft sheets and nice pillows. There is also a cafe in the lobby with great drinks and snacks.

Checked into room we had paid to upgrade, toilet didn't flush, was right next to elevator and very loud. They were able to move us, but we moved down and to the other side without a "premium view" we had paid for. The room though was so much nicer than the first one that had chipped wallpaper and a musty smell we were happy to settle in. The neighborhood was not great lots of closed down businesses. Parking was very convenient and the hotel was easy to get to. Breakfast at the hotel was though, possibly the worst experience I've ever had dining out from service, attitude, to food. The gal that cleaned our room was wonderful, friendly, efficient and helpful and was the highlight of our stay here. We had a great time in SF, but will definitely stay elsewhere next time.

Our room had a very comfortable bed. Nice view of the city if you take high floor rooms. Rooms have a refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, and iron. Nice lighting option with low level personal lights near the bed.
Parking is expensive (almost $50 per night).

Our stay at the Holiday Inn San Francisco-Golden Gateway was disappointing, and we wouldn’t return.

Positives:
•	Staying in a high-floor room offered us a great view.
•	The hotel has plenty of elevators, which reduced wait times.

Negatives:
•	Parking is outrageously overpriced: $49 per night plus tax. This is simply unacceptable.
•	The room had a very unpleasant smell, reminiscent of a nursing home.
•	There’s a plastic sheet under the carpet that you can feel and hear with every step – very annoying.
•	The TV is extremely outdated. While you can watch regular channels, there are no smart TV features. Instead, guests are only offered the option to purchase movies at ridiculously high prices – a greedy and disappointing service.

Overall, the price-performance ratio is way off, and we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Pretty good hotel IF YOU GET a good price.  Never over $180.    Breakfast very nice.   Clean. Great location.  I am.pleased with it.  A bit noisy because its located in a main street.
