I would give this place a solid 7. Some of the dishes were fantastic, others not so much. The wine options seemed to be all natural options, we tried several of the whites and ended up just giving up. Their house made sourdough & Caesar salad were my favorite two dishes on the set menu. Service was great.

cannot recommend enough!
the food was amazing, and they catered to all allergies and dietary requirements for our group of 18 people.
the service was also amazing, polite, funny, engaging and SO accommodating.
the vibe of the restaurant cost but a vibe - the menus were gorgeous and they left personalize notes for the birthday we were celebrating AND the owner made us a cake. we’ll be back for more dinners!!!

Someone had told me that they thought Lord Stanley was the best value dinner you could get in SF, so when a friend came into my town for a visit, my husband and I met him here to try it out.

We had their Sunday Dinner. The course menu had 2-3 options for each course and we had fun strategizing our order. The food was delicious, generously portioned, and, while each dish had inventive elements, the dishes didn’t get lost in pursuit of that. We finished every last bite and I’m still thinking about the trout roe puff, the hamachi crudo with corn, and those perfectly-prepped oysters. It was all topped off with a lovely wine pairing and friendly, attentive service.

My conclusion: This is a great value restaurant and one I can see myself coming back to again and again. It seems both dependable and delicious, a great combo for any restaurant seeking longevity.

I came here for Turntable with Peking House guest starring. I was surprised it was rather empty, but it was on for the month of July. Better for our experience. Parking kinda sucks and is luck here, so be prepared.

Anyways, I ordered the fried chicken, a sando, a salted egg caviar supplement, a highball, biscuits, and mashed potatoes. Quite a filling, we did fairly well eating nearly all of it.

The salted egg caviar dish was unique. The fried chicken is the start. However, I thought it would be more spicy and numbing, but it wasn't really. Nonetheless, it's very tasty. Sando was huge, juicy, and great on its own. Mashed potatoes and biscuits were nice compliments but after thoughts against the other main attractions.

Service was phenomenal. Didn't get the name of the gal serving us, but she was the sweetest. Super fun, energetic, and engaging. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'd like to return to eat Lord Stanley's food now.
