I consider myself fortunate moving a block away from Metro not because of their excellent and speedy service or their expansive menu choices but because they make the best burgers I’ve had in ages. Omar and his staff have fed me a weekly burger of consistent quality and masterful construction since moving to the lower Haight. The magic of this cheesesteak restaurant is that they also make a great burger. Hand formed patties cooked on a charcoal grill with a perfect balance of veggies and condiments makes for the most consistently excellent burger experience I’ve ever enjoyed. If you are looking for fine fast dining without any pretense of exoticism I suggest trying anything on the menu. It is worth the money and the trip.

Simply the best QUALITY you will ever find. I'm from Chicago. I know the difference between Pats's and Geno's Steaks all too well due to Penn. The prices reflect the high-end sourcing of the meats. If there were a Michelin star for non-chain fast food joints that are to be found east of the Mississippi, Metro deserves the maximum of three stars. It is crazy delicious.

Great spot for cheesesteak sandwiches and burgers. Had chicken Chee steak with mushrooms and fries. Service is extra friendly and very efficient. Definitely would recommend to others and return again in the future. It’s like going back home to Pennsylvania without leaving town 🙂
