My party of 3 arrived on a Sunday just minutes after the restaurant opened, and I was honestly amazed to find that there were another 2 tables already seated - a testament to how popular this dining spot is. After being seated, we decided on their corn cheese appetizer, fish cake soup, and two of their Korean fried chicken offerings (half of their magic cheese sprinkles, and an order of their soy and garlic popcorn chicken). While both the corn cheese and fish cake soup were delectable, the true stars of this meal were the Korean fried chicken dishes. Both orders were well fried, extremely crispy, yet juicy on the inside - the perfect bite for any fried chicken lover.

If you're a fan of Korean food, and especially of Korean fried chicken, then you should give Odumak a try if you're in the area!

This was an old spot, but under new management, I think. I went here looong time ago under former management and remember the soju was amazing. Now they still have that natural real juice soju but the price is outrageous.
Aside from the soju, they said the fried chicken is amazing. let me be honest: they don’t. The fried chicken is mediocre. Very bland, dry, not even that crispy. The sauce is too sweet in my opinion.
The bibimbap is ok, I like the fact that the sauce is spicy, but the meat is very tough and much better without.
beef noodles is also very bland. There’s slight pepper kick to it but it needs soy sauce or salt and surely more gochuharu.
Service: lady there was nice but we had to ask for napkins 3 times before she brought it. I went and asked for more to-go container & plastic, and she looked a little upset because she was having dinner at the time (well, sorry for going to her area cuz she ain’t coming to our table, I guess). All in all, it’s only good convenience because our friend lives nearby, but maybe next time we would try other places instead.

I’m in the process of sampling Korean fried chicken from various places in SF to determine which place to order from for an upcoming Friendsgiving. This place made it onto my short list and was first on my list to try since it’s the closest to me.

I opted for a half sized order of soy garlic fried chicken, as it’s my favourite flavour. I’ve tried a bunch of Korean fried chicken in LA Ktown and Garden Grove, so my standards are high for this dish. Not gonna lie, I think the chicken looks better than it tasted. I was initially drawn to this place because of images others posted that depicted super crispy, garlicky chicken, which reminded me of soy garlic KFC in SoCal. However, the chicken here is drenched in so much sauce that it feels slightly soggy, and I know it can’t be due to the fact it’s a delivery order because I literally received it within minutes of it being prepared. I wouldn’t order it without sauce or with sauce on the side though because then there’s the risk of it not being flavourful enough or the sauce not being distributed evenly. Also, the flavour is way too sweet. Soy garlic KFC should have a rich umami flavour, but this one didn’t. Instead the sweetness was on par with Chinese orange chicken.

I can see this being a decent spot for late night eats after going out and drinking, but I wouldn’t choose this place specifically for KFC if it’s for a nice meal.

Had high hopes for this place but it fell a little short.  First,  they can't seem to remember everything you ordered.  But that's fine.  Next,  you see white people.  Try,  "could i get you guys any other utensils?" Honestly, every server should ask this.  But i served in a different time when we worked for our tip. Coffee cups never were low in my time. They don't have Coffee here but my tea ran out and stayed empty. Lastly,  about our order,  if the pork is spicy,  but it doesn't say on the menu,  try asking,  "is spicy okay?" I'm extremely sensitive to spicy.  I take my time to find food that isn't spicy or i have to send it back other people may be less sensitive.  But make sure the customer is getting exactly what they ordered and not what you want to give them.  Especially when it's an ordered item and not the complimentary stuff.

Flavor.  It was pretty good.  But mostly boneless chicken? That's a first for me unless specified.

The watermelon soju in the watermelon, i liked the presentation but i think tap water has a higher alcohol content.  It's probably 500-1,000ml, i drank most of it and didn't even have the faintest of buzzes. And i can feel one shot of whiskey (for perspective).

The service.  Bad. She really didn't want to serve us.  She seemed to give people in their 20s (her peers from our observation) decent service and older gentlemen.  But knowing her looks weren't going to coerce me to tip more,  she didn't even try to be pleasant. On our $139 tab,  pleasant service would have been the difference between a $30 tip and not returning and a $50 tip and a new regular.  We're actually in the market for a good Korean place near Daly City and this is one of the closest.

Conclusion:  if you're young adults or older gentlemen AND can handle spicy,  it's a great place.  Suggestion though if you're drinking,  order the bottled soju and have a DD or Uber take you home. The $27 fancy sojus have almost no alcohol.

I didn't get to take photos of all of our food, but we ordered a lot. I went with a group of 11 people for a birthday dinner. We had 2 types of fried chicken, galbi, tonkatsu, corn cheese, japchae, 2 types of tteokbokki, and a dozen bottles of soju. Everything was delicious. I would love to come back.
