finally tried sichuan home for lunch after hearing the rave reviews and it lives up to its accolades. cozy and comforting environment with the kindest servers, sichuan home feels like an unassuming neighborhood restaurant with amazing food. the complimentary cabbage side dish and fruit dessert were a great touch. would come back!

Honestly not my favorite spot for spicy Szechuan. The sauce in the Dan Dan noodles was thin and overly soupy, lacking sesame and spicy flavor, and the noodles were in a clump. The Chongqing Style chicken was overly breaded, although the flavor was spicy and numbing. Didn't love the basket and foil that the chicken was served on either. Prices were fair, and the service was good, but the food just wasn't stellar.

Tidy Sichuan on Geary, dishes come mala spiced, but also fragrant. Light on salt. Food good enough to serve Singaporean Prime Minister on two separate visits as well as land itself in the 2021 Michelin guide.

Chili Wontons served in a tantalizingly delicious mala broth, stone pot. Enough to make for a light meal.

Beef Noodle Soup, tasty stewed beef served in slightly medicinal tasting broth. Hand pulled noodles, a novelty.

We’ve been going to this place for at least 10 years and it is still by far one of the best Sichuan restaurants in San Francisco. For my spouse and I, it is our favorite.

The food is always excellent, super flavorful and consistently of the same quality. The prices are super reasonable. The service is friendly and fast. This place is legit Sichuan food (I lived in China so I have high standards 😅), if you are looking for American-Chinese food, I am sure they can do it, but might not be the best.

I am surprised this place isn’t getting a better rating. Good for us because there is almost never wait time to get a table.

Incredibly authentic and delicious Sichuan Chinese food. Many vegan food options available. The soy milk is homemade and absolute perfection. They bring out tea, pickled veggies, and little dessert cakes on the house. Deep flavor in both the mapo tofu and the Dan Dan noodles (ask for no meat if vegan or vegetarian). Great spice levels too. I would go here all the time if I lived in San Francisco.
