I ordered dessert from this restaurant. I had the Kheer Rice Pudding and the Gulab Jamun. The Kheer Rice Pudding was borderline about to be unusable. The Gulab Jamun wasn't the best but had an after taste that made me eat it even though I didn't really like it. I would give this restaurant a chance as it appears that the food could be good with made right.

UPDATE : I tried this restaurant again and everything was good. I would definitely recommend trying it as I thought before

Came here for an early dinner with our 2y old. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and all were delicious. When we got presented with the bill we were surprised to see the total amount, great value for money. Super friendly and attentive service. Can recommend and will def be back myself.

We liked everything! Portion sizes are good, what you’d expect for an Indian restaurant, with a great ration of sauce to protein. In terms of spice level, they offer mild, medium, spicy, very spicy. We chose medium to place on the safe side, while you could definitely taste the spice, it wasn’t in the slightest unbearable, so we would creep into the “spicy” range next time. The atmosphere is relaxed, with take-out orders being picked up frequently  - don’t be misguided by the looks on the outside, this is a bustling business rewarded for its tasty food and great service.

Why not dine in? The service is quick, thoughtful, and attentive without being in your face. The decor is clean and comfortable, with culture motifs galore (but tastefully).

I really like the restaurant. Very cute, good service, good food. Lots of vegetarian options. Very decent prices. Great drinks. Vegan options. Fresh rice. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Tuesday night with a friend and there was no line!

Good:
- We got an appetizer really quickly and it was good!
- The naan sampler here was a great quantity - 3 naans for about the price of 2
- The saag paneer here was solid, I liked how large it was since I brought it back for another meal
- The prices are good here, great value and good service, food comes out fast.

Bad:
- Pretty casual place, not too crowded and not very fancy

Overall a good place for a quick bite and really solid Indian food!

Jag har ätit på ett antal indiska restauranger på den här platsen under de senaste 20 åren och denna restaurang har den bästa maten. Delarna är generösa och priserna är rimliga. Vi hade ett antal rätter både vegetariska och kött och alla var läckra. Jag rekommenderar denna restaurang.

Vi åt här 2 nätter under vår vistelse på Market street över vägen vid Becks. I ett grannskap där vi upplevde ojämn service och livsmedelskvalitet - var Tara ett ställe. Sådan välkomnande personal, vi åt efter 8 pm båda nätterna och det var ingen tvekan att hitta oss ett bord. Ganska upptagen plats men bra service. Höjdpunkter för mig (med vegetarisk bias) var ljusa och krispiga vegpakoras, saag paneer, bra krispiga vitlök naan också. Familjen älskade kyckling tikka masala och lamm rogan josh. Rimligt prissatta öl och vin vid glaset. Jag önskar att vi hade en indisk som denna i vår hemstad!

Min fru har stor erfarenhet av indisk mat - det gör jag inte, men det var en mycket bra upplevelse för oss båda. Valet av mat och vin är stor och mycket välsmakande. Mycket överkomlig prisnivå. Och många lokala indianer kommer hit - den bästa rekommendationen.

Mittemot Becks Motor Lodge, så om du bor där och ser det. . . Inte mycket att titta på från utsidan men inuti är varmt och mysigt. Vänlig, effektiv service, rimliga priser och god mat. Bra val av rätter för köttätare, vegetarianer och veganer. En stor middag för två plusdrycker var $ 50. Vi fick också en naan att gå så vi skulle ha något att nosh på morgonen innan vi började dagen.

Jag hade inte varit i denna plats sedan ett par ägare sedan, men var ursprungligen värd en vegetarisk vän från England och slutade för en lätt måltid, vilket var mycket trevligt. Så en annan vän och jag gick ett par veckor senare till middag runt klockan 6:30. Det var ursprungligen inte fullt, men nästan fyllt som kvällen gick framåt, och en hel del personer kom in för att ta ut order också. Vi hade vegetariska pakoror som var vert ljus och krispiga, blandade tandoori tallrik med massor av grillad lök, saag paneer lite kryddig som vi hade hoppats och kyckling tikka masala, som hade en fin krämig tomatsås som kunde ha varit lite spicier. Vi fick också papadum, raita, naan, ris och rispudding. För mycket, så gick några hem; utmärkt värde för kostnaden! Tjänsten var uppmärksam. Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka.

Hade en fantastisk lamm tikka marsala, några stora naan och bra service och vänlig personal. Ett bra val för indiska på Castro.
