Overall uncomfortable. Upgrades to seats don't offer much more. Didn't appreciate the burlap poor barrier to keep the peasants away from the business classes. Lunches were good. I like the integration of the apps to the flights and with ordering food.

We made first class reservations to fly from San Jose CA to Juneau AK. Should be second nature for Alaska Airlines, right? Our originally scheduled flight to Seattle was delayed for 2+ hours, breaking our connection to Juneau. The best answer seemed to be taking a later Juneau flight and a second choice flight to Seattle. No first class on the later Juneau flight. While snacking, we discovered via Flight Aware that our substitute Seattle flight was delayed so much that the later Juneau flight connection became impossible. At this point, we are back on the original Seattle flight, now more than three hours late, but our first class seats have been given away. Getting to and from their Seattle hub has become too hard for Alaska Airlines. The gate agents have been helpful, but they don't control the planes.

Smooth efficient ticketing with bag check and friendly CS Agents. Gate boarding also very efficient with priority going to not only First Class but those families traveling and people with disabilities and of course active duty Military. Great airline!

Alaska Airlines lost my bags on an international flight from Canada to SJC and their handling of this situation has been abysmal. What Happened: My baggage was misrouted to Seattle (they admitted this in writing). Despite this being THEIR error, here's how they've treated me: * David promised me an email update at 7:00 PM - never received it * Called back asking for a voucher for basic necessities (toothbrush, clothes, etc.) and was told "it sounds like you don't need it" - excuse me? I have NO belongings! * Asked to speak with a manager - REFUSED * Been given zero timeline for when I'll get my bags back * Their email just says "once there is an update" - completely unacceptable They're Violating International Law: This was an international flight covered under the Montreal Convention, which REQUIRES them to reimburse reasonable expenses during baggage delays. They know this and are deliberately avoiding their obligations. Current Status: * No bags * No compensation offered * No timeline provided * No manager will speak to me * System supposedly has an "outage" so they can't track anything I'm now filing formal complaints with the Canadian Transportation Agency and US Department of Transportation. Advice to travelers: If you're flying internationally through Canada, choose ANY other airline. Alaska Airlines doesn't care about their legal obligations or their customers. When they lose your belongings, they'll dismiss your needs and refuse to help. Still waiting for my bags. Still waiting for basic customer service. Still can't believe they told me I don't need help when THEY lost my property. Will update if they ever find my belongings or develop basic customer service skills. This should get attention on Yelp and hopefully prompt a response from their social media team

A good experience flying Alaska everytime. Efficient service from San Jose to Portland, friendly staff, and the Embraer regional jets are relatively new. Alaska is in Terminal B with Southwest, and the bag drop and security process was smooth and fast.

I like flying Alaska Airlines. Friendly service and "safety is their priority." The seats were assigned, so there was no need to do the cattle call, etc. Check-in to get your boarding pass and drop off luggage was easy and smooth.

traveling with them for years (hawaii, seattle i can rmbr). kinda attendants + pilot everytime! seating with chargers, love the variety of movies on board (romcoms, comedy, disney cartoons, live actions). comfy seat with leg room. my pull out table has been dirty with food stains on occasions though.

This airline is by far the worst I have ever flown. They are normally not on time. Recently I was in Seattle flying to Juneau Alaska. My flight was to depart at 8 pm. The airline had some sort of technical issue and all flights were down. Little communication about expectations for when the flights might resume. They suggested we just standby. Around midnight they say our flight is getting ready to go. The gate agent heads down the jet way and upon returning states "the pilots are timed out". How would they not have known that much earlier? The gate agent states they have reached out to other pilots. Around 1:30 the agent says we better make a plan B. We ask what that is and the agent says "I don't know". The flight is canceled. We go to the customer service line and stand for 4.5 hours awaiting our turn to reschedule our flight. The communication is so poor that people are getting very agitated. Finally when we get to the customer service person they say our flight will go a day later. Not going to work for me. I finally get on a flight at 9am that day and upon arriving in Juneau my luggage does not show. I file a document indicating lost luggage as required. My luggage arrives around 10 pm. I pick it up at the airport. No sleep for 40 hours. They never offered a food or hotel voucher. Off I go on my fishing trip a bit tired. Return flight has my luggage and fish box. Get into San Francisco and you guessed it my luggage does not show. File another lost luggage document. Awaiting my luggage delivery. By far the worst experience traveling. Alaska Airlines does not seem to care. Customer service has a give a shit attitude. Stay away from this airline and Hawaiian as they purchased them.

I booked first class reservations with Alaska Airlines for a trip from San Jose CA to Walla Walla WA on July 27 2025. The first leg of the trip, from San Jose to Seattle, was fine (despite the yapping dog, yes DOG, across the aisle -- not Alaska's fault). My flight from Seattle to WW was scheduled to leave at 11 pm but Alaska was having a general meltdown at Sea-Tac that day and after several delays, eventually my flight was cancelled. After a long wait in line at customer service, I was informed there were no more hotel vouchers (because so many flights had been cancelled). After wasting an hour on the phone trying to find a hotel, I finally got a tax driver to take me to different hotels until I could find a room. The next day I was booked into the Tri-Cities Airport near Pasco (WW flights were all booked) and I bullied cust. service into a Lyft voucher for the 1-hour drive from Pasco to WW. Fast-forward to Sunday, a week later. A power outage in WW took out half the town, including some parts of the airport. So my flight OUT of WW to SeaTac was cancelled, leaving 60-70 people stranded. An incredible Alaska agent named Sunny loaned her mini-van to friend of hers, who drove a few of us to Pasco to catch a flight to Sea-Tac. When I got to Sea-Tac and started to board, I discovered that the booking agent in WW (NOT Sunny) had downgraded my entire reservation to coach, and Alaska had sold my first-class seat to someone else. If I ever look at traveling again and Alaska is the only option, rest assured I will either DRIVE or not go!
