Unfortunately, as a truck driver this was the most economical stay in San Jose. After about 4 stays my father had the worst stay so far. He stayed in room 111 on Feb 1-3. Within the first few hours of his stay he found a used syringe in the crack of the window. Management and cleaners are very poor at their job and thoroughness. Front desk kept saying the manager wasn't in the office to attend to my concern. By the time I left nothing was ever resolved. This is super dangerous, unhygienic, disrespectful and nasty. Don't stay here and risk your health. Room inspection is clearly not valued here as neither are their customers. Terrible 0/10. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

DO NOT BOOK ALURA INN! I have been a loyal Priceline customer for over 10 years, using their platform to book hotels, flights, and rental cars without issue--until my recent stay at Alura Inn in Northern California. Priceline offered Alura Inn as a "top-rated" hotel, and trusting their recommendation, I booked it. After a 9-hour drive, we arrived, only to be completely shocked. The room was absolutely disgusting--filthy from top to bottom. The bathroom was unsanitary, the standing bath was unbearable, and the curtains were so dirty you didn't even want to touch them! Worse still, the room smelled like humidity and dead fish, making it unbearable to stay in. I immediately contacted Priceline to resolve this issue and asked for a new hotel. They requested photos, which I sent immediately. Their response? "It'll take a few days to get back to you." A few days?! I had no choice but to book another hotel out of pocket (again, using Priceline). Three days later, Priceline's response was that they couldn't do anything about it. No refund, no support, nothing. After more than 10 years of being a loyal customer, this is how they treat you. Absolutely unacceptable. If you're considering Alura Inn or trusting Priceline's "top-rated" hotel picks, DON'T. Save your time, money, and sanity. You've been warned. Alura Inn is the worst!

Vacation | Couple I would honestly rather stay in a homeless shelter and spend another night in this most disgusting hotel-I was in room 110 far end of the property and I did arrive late and the front desk rose was very nice but when I got into the room, the smell was so overpowering, It was like stepping into an overflow ashtray. If it hadn't been after 10 o'clock, I would've gotten back in the car and slept there- The furniture, the fridge the microwave looks like pieces of crap somebody picked up off the side of the road and stuck into this purple room. To say it is themed after the great Audrey Hepburn... She would be rolling in her grave if she were to have seen this. I honestly don't know how anyone could give this place a positive review unless you have no sense of smell or you are legally blind or desperate. I did spend the night all in all got about three hours of sleep because I was suffocating, and when I pulled up the bedspread, there was a giant cigarette burn I'm not a Pollyanna and I have spent some nights in some pretty gross places, but this was beyond disgusting- it wasn't even worth the $90.-Which granted given the area looks like looks a deal-- But holy cow did I get what I paid for. Oh, and the whole Mexican restaurant thing attached to the property is nonsense -It's next-door and Rose says she has nothing to do with them. I did take photos. I don't know if this reviewer will let me attach them, but I will try.. at any rate, any photos taken of this hotel either from this property or on their website or complete lies---good luck out there

1.the clerk, who im calling No way Jose, to not put him on blast scammed for deposit. 2.he charged me $20 for 2 "damaged towels"-not true cuz I had my own. 3.told me they sent my deposit, when they didn't. And when they did send it, 5 days late, it was $10 short. It should be $30 but lied about damaging towels. Good things about Alura, the old lady at the front desk is nice as heck. And the other young gentleman is cool. But the bad things were there was dirty rooms, dirty towels and dirty tactics. If your thinking of staying, just remember, no way Jose.

Yikes. You are better off sleeping in your car. Bed springs popping out. It's so ghetto here and I used to live on Story and King. This place is very deceiving. Check for bedbugs before you pack up your bags and take them home. Price was not $70 like Art, the previous reviewer, had said. I paid well over $130. Good thing I had alcohol to drink myself through the noise around us.

Knowing I would be at a cheaper hotel and being prepared what to expect...this hotel was okay. Everything very basic. You have to have a credit card to book a room here. There is a Mexican restaurant that shares the parking lot. Cheap rates, free easy parking, clean rooms.

Ok so I stayed here last Saturday with my friends to play a show out in San Jose. Upon arriving the check in process was smooth and we were attended quickly. The room was small but overall was kept very clean. Next day we checked out and on my way back I forgot something very important. I called and asked them if they could help. I believe John Reed (sorry if I am mispronouncing it) but anyway he was extremely helpful and called me back and told me they could send it out also spoke with a Jose which also confirmed this. They both deserve a raise!!! Thanks for making our stay feel welcomed and thanks for all the help 5/5 stars in my book

Where do I start? Pictures can be deceiving. I know the price was on the lower end, but a little disappointed. There was no coffee pot in the room. I called the from desk multiple times with no answer. Tried again an hour later multiple times and finally spoke with someone. Lady said they do not have anymore coffee makers. What? How do you not have a coffee maker for every room? Tried to get ice with no luck. Front desk said ice maker is currently broken. I wouldn't bring kids here. Lots of shady characters up to go good at all hours of the night. Noise increased the later it got. The only good thing about this place is the price and the Mexican restaurant.

I see a lot of whining and unrealistic expectations here in the reviews. People need to get their priorities straight, grow up and realize that you get what you pay for. Is this the cleanest, nicest, most luxurious hotel? No. No it's not. It's $70.00 a night... what do you expect? Get a grip, get a hobby that's not on your phone and move on. I know that when I bed a place to sleep and shower because I'm exhausted and have dozens of back to back meetings and supply issues I can book a cheap room at any hour and get somewhere safe to be so I can wake up and do it all over again. You guys deliver on your promises and I appreciate staying here once or twice a week.
