Marisa is the best! I had my wedding July 2019 and seriously she was my GO TO for everything. As a bride it's algae's to trust someone but I trusted her more than my fiancé. She helped me get organized months prior to the wedding and always checked up on me and made sure there the things I needed to do were done. We loved that she met us up to start planning and creating excel sheets for our big day! She came to our important wedding appointments and she was just full on amazing! Her day of coordination was the most special to us. She made our day stress free! She literally had us! If you need a coordinator for a wedding, Marisa is your girl! She's a true pro!!!!! (and even that is an understatement). If you need patient, professional, positive vibes, perfection for your private event. Pick up the phone because you found the right person. Marisa was a coordinator for an NYE wedding in S.F. in the heart of North Beach. Throughout the night I watched her seamlessly navigate the personalities of club owners, family, friends, food trucks, vendors and even a few visits from SFPD with the utmost cool and calm demeanor, always staying a step ahead of the next issue being thrown at her. 2 thumbs all the way up for this girl Friday.

Marisa at Ghost Planners was the month-of coordinator for our wedding reception in May 2017 and I am so appreciative of the hard work she put in leading up to, and on, our big day. Marisa worked with me to execute my vision of a garden reception at a private venue. We had 13+ vendors come in to service the event, and Marisa managed all the moving parts with ease. She ran our timeline, and was in charge of the entire event setup and breakdown including decor, table settings, etc. She referred me to our DJ, Kevin, who worked well with Marisa throughout the evening to make our reception run smoothly. Together, they were an unstoppable team even when we have to adjust our timeline a couple times when we got behind schedule. The guests didn't even notice! I can't say enough how happy i am with our wedding day memories, and it wouldn't have happened without Marisa.

Marisa was the catering sales manager at our wedding venue in the fall of 2015. I liked her immediately for her active listening in what was important to me and my now-husband and parents and she was a huge factor in our choice to book that hotel, knowing we'd be working with her. I never felt pressure from her to spend more than we were willing or to include/omit aspects of the reception because of current trends or expectations. She was there to help us fill in the gaps of what we were severely lacking as far as wedding planning, but also to make it feel manageable--a plus for any bride-to-be. My schedule wasn't very flexible or conducive to meetings with her, but she successfully made every effort to get us all in the same room and on time, according to a timeline for completing everything. Leading up to the wedding, she was honest with me in communications with some of my less-than-stellar vendors and even helped me to save money and book more feasible options for decor as the day got closer. I really appreciated having someone on my side who could give me an impartial opinion as a professional. She helped me to arrange my one thousand origami cranes for display at the reception as well. The day of the wedding, she surprised us with little touches--sending up treats for me and my bridal party and adding extra touches to my decor such as gold chargers to spruce up the tables, to re-printing descriptions of our signature drinks that were haphazardly put together last minute. When I arrived at the hotel before the reception, she personally brought up a plate of our hors d'ouevres to my parents' suite so that I wouldn't miss out and could have a moment before the fun chaos of it all. During the reception, she was the definition of a ghost planner--her presence was felt from the fluidity of the event, even if I didn't see her in action. She intervened when needed as far as keeping the night on track but never made me feel rushed. We were luckily enough to see her the day after the wedding to personally thank her again. As she had already moved on to her next events and was extremely busy, we appreciated her taking the time to say bye to us. One regret I have from my wedding day is not having a professional photo with her because she was beyond instrumental in keeping me sane, keeping everything in line, and making our reception such a success. She went above and beyond throughout the whole process when I would have been satisfied if she had just done her basic job duties, highlighting her dedication to any event's success.

Marisa was the wedding coordinator for our July 2018 wedding. She was organized, helpful, and consistently came through for us when we came to her with a crisis. Not enough name cards a week before the wedding? A box showed up on our doorstep the next day. Dress unexpectedly wrinkly a couple hours before walking down the isle? Marisa was there with a steamer while directing the reception venue setup. She consistently wet above and beyond, and I recommend her highly to anyone trying to plan a large event!

Hiring Marisa as our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Having her input and expertise on stand by was priceless! Without a doubt, Marisa was there for us and made us feel confident about our wedding day right from the beginning. Despite event planning and coordinating being her second job, she was always available and flexible with scheduling meetings or phone calls with us. Marisa was calm and collected throughout the planning/coordinating process and always made us feel great about the decisions and progress we were making leading up to our big day. Her knowledge and experience was very helpful in the planning process. She always made us feel like our concerns were heard and readily had great advice with our best interest in mind. From start to finish, Marisa was organized and professional not only in her dealings with us, but also with our other wedding vendors. Both Marisa and her staff exhibited excellent team work and resourcefulness behind the scenes and were quick on their feet to solve any problems/issues that arose on our wedding day. Personally, I didn't even know there were any slip-ups during our event because she's that good! Marisa's excellent skillset in planning, coordinating and executing in all aspects of what she does for her couples is what made us leave our worries behind. Thanks to Marisa, we were able to enjoy our wedding day to its full capacity. She truly cares about giving her couples the best of everything that she has to offer. Any couple that is able to book her for their wedding day is very lucky and will absolutely not regret it.

From the second I sat down to my first meeting with Marisa, I knew we'd found our wedding coordinator. Nevermind that there were three meetings we still had to take after that -- as with picking a life partner, sometimes you just know when you've found the best one. And she is that, and so much more. Wedding planning is an enormously stressful activity and there are innumerable moving pieces, vendors, and people you have to communicate with in a polite and respectful way in order to get all those pieces in place. So it's nice to be able to just be your authentic self with a wedding coordinator and not have to "perform" and I am so grateful to Marisa for that, and so much more. Yes, she's detail-oriented, organized, communicative, thoughtful, considerate, and will be your second brain when yours stops working (which, it will, it's just a natural progression of wedding planning) Yes, she'll text you weekly just to check in to see if you need anything, or need her to follow up with anyone (and mind you, we hired her as a day of coordinator, but did that stop her from checking in on me weekly from 8 months prior to our wedding? Nope.) And yeah, she will create spreadsheets and generally be the Type A, magical fairy godmother unicorn planner of your dreams. But at the end of the day, what makes Marisa so extraordinarily special is who she is as a person -- a warm, kindhearted, fun-loving, hilarious human being who wants for you to have the wedding day you've dreamed up almost as much, if not more than you do. And she DELIVERS. Multiple guests came back to us with observations of exactly how much Marisa was doing for us during the wedding -- from quite literally, cleaning the aisle runner moments before the ceremony, to charmingly arguing with cops who were being doubly fussy about permits, to filling in vendors who, at the last minute, seemed to not know what the plan was, she seamlessly ran up, down, and across the moon for us during our wedding, all while making sure my husband and I had food and drinks and anything we needed. If you're looking for a wedding planner in the bay -- there are many, many great ones, and it's not difficult to find someone who will help you plan and execute your vision. But if you're in search of someone who is going to look out for YOU, and provide welcome humor and distraction when you need it, while also providing all the detail stuff, Marisa is without a doubt the only person we would recommend for your wedding.
