I came here to purchase a rail pass for japan for my brother and myself. This place could be a little hard to find since its a place with multiple business. As soon as you walk into the bulding go to the 3rd floor and walk straight down and itll be on your left side. As soon as i walked in i was greeted with a warm welcome. Emma helped me out and walked me through the sign up process. As soon as i completed and paid for it she had the vouchers printed out for me (i didnt think it was gonna be that fast lol). Emma walked me through all the steps and marked down where to go to exchange the voucher for the rail pass, whats required, what ill need, etc. She was a great help and super friendly. Thank you Emma!!

I came here to pick up a Japan Rail Pass before my trip. I walked in and was instructed to complete the transaction on a laptop they had on a desk. After waiting a while (the person in charge was on the phone), someone handed me a the pass, along with instructions on where to obtain it. It was quick, easy, and straightforward! If you want faster service, order it on their website first. You'll be prompted on the website to say which day you'll be picking it up.

The travel agent booked a flight flying into one airport Haneda and then flying out of another airport Narita and didn't tell me. Very rookie customer service, do it yourself online.

I hate giving 1-star reviews but I thought I should after working with two Kintetsu travel advisers, both of whom did nothing for us. The first person I contacted was a referral from a co-worker. I called a couple of times and didn't get a call back so I emailed introducing myself and asked if there was a good time for us to talk by phone. She said that she didn't have time to talk because Japan had just had an earthquake and was very busy attending to customers. Totally understandable. I emailed back in a few weeks and she said that she would prefer to communicate by email. I responded saying that I would prefer to talk because we were just starting to plan our trip and i had a lot of questions. No response. A month or two later, I called Kintetsu and spoke to a different staff person. She was very friendly. We chatted for awhile. I told her generally what we were hoping to do and how we like to travel. We started to piece together a sample itinerary. Perfect! We hung up with tasks that we were supposed to do and then would reconnect in a week or two. I emailed back with my updates. She finally responded and said that she would need a little more time to research the best hotel rates. I emailed again a couple of weeks later. No response. Wow. I finally gave up. A few months, and hours and hours of research later, I've pulled together our 2.5 week itinerary. It wasn't hard, just time consuming to figure out the "where's" and "how's" (transportation logistics between the various places). I was perfectly happy to pay them a commission for getting us good deals on a few of our hotels, our JR passes, and flights if they could have provided some basic advice. No wonder travel agencies are a dying breed.

(This business has two listings on Yelp, so I'm putting in my two cents on both.) This review is based solely on obtaining a Japan Rail Pass exchange ticket. Kintetsu International is an authorized dealer for Japan Rail Pass exchanges, so by going here you can skip the wait and extra fees associated with ordering an exchange online. The business is situated in a building that houses many different companies, so it may be difficult to find when looking for it from First Street, but there is a small sign listing the companies out front. The parking lot had plenty of free spaces. I walked in and was helped by a woman named Maki. I only had to fill out one sheet of paperwork, and 15 minutes and $304 dollars later I was holding a Rail Pass exchange ticket. When the transaction was done, she conversationally asked me where I was planning to visit and gave me free maps for each city. Score! Quick, friendly, non-intimidating service.

I'm thinking I might have to come back another day or wait a few hours. So I ask her how much longer. She said 5 minutes . I appreciate the great customer service!

My travel life would be much less comfortable without my travel agent, Charles Chua from Kintetsu International. He knows my environmental, seating, and hotel preferences. He knows that good value is important to me. I travel frequently, and several times a year my flights are suddenly and unexpectedly cancelled--threatening to leave me stranded far from home. While most passengers are running to join the long line at the airline counter to re-book their flights, I simply call Charles. If it is possible to get to my destination that day, he will find a way to get me there. If it's not, and I'm away from home, he will reserve a hotel room for me before booking the first flight out the following morning.
