Service was absolutely horrible! The woman who helped us seemed to be having a bad day. We did not get her name, but she was wearing lots of makeup. I tried to break the ice with the woman by asking about business and her facial expressions were as if I was a nuisance and my questions were foolish. The young man working with the woman seemed intimidated by the woman and just kept his head down. The plate we ordered was half a rack of ribs with beans and bread. The portion was exaggeratedly skimp. Please see pic and draw your own conclusion. The food was actually good but not worth the price. I really would like to request my money back as it was about $20 more or less.

This review is only for their food stall during the Mountain View Art and Wine Festival on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. Noticing a small line, we decided to order the Nachos with Carne Asada and a bratwurst dog. Nachos were nothing special and we could tell the nacho chips were store bought most likely Tostitos. My dog was just warm and not piping hot even though it came right off the grill. There seem to be confusion after the order was placed with the younger workers not giving everything that was ordered by the customers and instead of giving out items individually instead of everything all at once. Grill-master was also frustrated telling the kids not to drop food on the floor. Definitely chaotic with the exception of the person taking our order.

Wow, such great ribs! When Lord of the Ribs (LOTR) come to the Devil's Canyon Beer Friday event, I try to get there! A good friend first told me about these ribs and they have always been good...definitely cooked low and slow leading to "fall off the bone" goodness. The sides are also good- the Mac & cheese last night were so cheesy and tasty! I also love that this is a family business with three generations cooking and serving.

Tried to order and ask questions at the Art and wine festival, people are rude as hell and act like your bothering them if you want to order. Glad I experienced that because I rather not give my money to a place that sucks at customer service.

I don't know where to start with this one. If Yelp allowed for a negative review rating, this is exactly what Lord of the Ribs would deserve. This was the most unprofessional food vendor I have ever experienced. My girlfriend purchased food from this vendor at the San Jose Jazz festival. She requested some additional sauce on her Cole slaw. The worker, Erica who I believe is the owner's daughter, completely flooded her Cole slaw with the sauce that they make. My girl friend was shocked and tells her that the Cole slaw is no longer edible. Erica rudely replies, with an oh well, if you don't like it, pay for another serving. My girlfriend places her plate on the table and says, "so you are telling me that I wasted my money!" The worker then grabs the coleslaw and throws it at my girlfriend. She had coleslaw all over her hat, chest, and neck. When I confronted the issue (I was at another stand when this happened), Erica advised that my girlfriend slammed her plate down causing the coleslaw to splatter, however, there is no way it happened that way with the amount of coleslaw that was all over her including on top of her hat. To make matters worse, one of their work's told her to "move the F--k on." I confronted him and let him know that he was not going to speak to my girlfriend this way. I thought better than to make a bad situation worse. That said, the cops still had to get involved and behind the cops back the workers, including Erica, were snickering and making hand gestures. The owner denied seeing anything which isn't possible because of where he was in the booth. The whole thing was a mess. I see below that another person experienced rude service from this business and it wouldn't surprise me if it was Erica. I have experienced rude service in my time dining at restaurants and festivals, but this was by far the worse experience I have ever been a part of. We tried to look past the issue and elected to not press any charges. We even tried the ribs and they had absolutely no flavor. They were dry with no flavorful seasoning. After one bit of the ribs, they went straight to the trash. I highly recommend avoiding this business if you see them at any festival and/or pop-up. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the San Jose Jazz festival as no one customer should ever have to experience anything as horrible as this.

Lord of the Ribs BBQ might actually already have a bunch of Yelp reviews, but for whatever reason it's not coming up on Yelp search either on my laptop or on the mobile app. To my knowledge Lord of the Ribs has been around since at least 2009. I recall being drawn to their cartoon logo years ago at a San Francisco based BBQ competition. During the pandemic and into the present they are popping up at various breweries (Narrative Fermentations, S27 Alehouse and Strike Taproom to name a few.) in the San Jose area where they are based selling their delicious BBQ. I found them recently on a visit to Narrative Fermentations near the San Jose Giants' baseball stadium where they had a tent set up outside of the brewery. I was hoping to try their tri-tip or brisket but neither were offered on their menu for this pop up. After a bit of indecision I decided to go with their Combo Special which consisted of 3 ribs, choice of a 1/2 pound sausage or pulled pork for which I chose the sausage and an 8 ounce side which after being informed that their cole slaw was of the creamy variety and not the vinegar variety I went with that. They take cash, card or Apple pay. After a 5 to 6 minute wait I was handed a hefty shopping bag full of food to carry into the brewery to feast on. I walked up to the brewery counter, ordered a pint of beer and found a table away from the crowds to chow down. There's tons of seating both indoors and out at Narrative Fermentations. After pulling all of the contents out of the bag I decided to start with the 1/2 pound Texas sausage sandwich which included sauce on the side which I appreciated because often when I have BBQ unless the meat is truly flavorless I'll actually go without sauce. The sausage was quite mild on the spice level but even though it was cut up it had that good snap upon biting into that many folks appreciate. It was a delicious sausage sandwich and perfectly matched with my ice cold beer. The dressing was actually just poured onto the cole slaw mix probably to keep the chilled veggies crisp so I had to mix it all up before eating. I wasn't quite attentive enough to notice until everything was mixed that there was a tad too much dressing. Nevertheless whatever extra dressing was on there I just washed down with the remainder of my beer. It was a very good creamy cole slaw. Since the room where I was consuming all of this food was mostly empty with the exception of a few brewery employees doing their work I decided to walk around a bit and ordered another pint of beer before tackling the ribs. Just by looking at the portion I knew that I had over-ordered but since I was meeting up with friends in another hour for a sports event I knew I had to either eat it up or discard it, and I was pretty certain I didn't want to waste perfectly good food. The BBQ ribs are sauced with a sticky sweet sauce which I liked but didn't love. I generally have a sweet tooth but for BBQ I mostly prefer a sauce that's more smoky and tangy maybe even slightly spicy. This wasn't that but the ribs were fall off the bone tender and the meat just a bit overseasoned. I took the last rib to go and ate it an hour later before entering the stadium so no food was wasted prior to this review. Overall, I liked everything I had and if I'm to come across them again on another brewery visit I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. Probably not the ribs but definitely the Texas sausage sandwich! The woman here was so nasty in her attitude and words when asked for a simple request that I decided to take my family's order to a different food truck. This was a Friday night at Diablo Canyon.

At their food at a local brewery. I ordered the Texas sausage, and all was good with that. My wife and 2 friends ordered the pork nachos. Sadly, they all got diarrhea shortly after eating. Some kind of food poisoning, apparently. I won't be eating their food again.
