Finally got to try this place after seeing it on social media and bookmarking on Yelp! There was a few people ahead of me but not a long wait thankfully. Was able to try malasadas - vanilla cream and chocolate hazelnut filling as well as their egg tarts were delicious. They have a few drinks available to order as well more malasadas with different filling flavors and different egg tarts that have different toppings such as strawberries, etc.

Went to get some dessert for a group get together. I also wanted to try some for the ride over. I heard that they were really good. I've had homemade and some from Portugal. I had placed a order for around $80. Plus a addition $20 for a addition 4 pastel de nata's. I had asked for them to be put in a small box,but was told no. I told them I wanted to give some as a gift. She said the policy was to bag them. I could clearly see small boxes behind the counter. The nata's were smaller then what I'm used to purchasing. Also the crust was burnt. Not very good quality control.(Check out the picture) Also they added a 5 percent cost of living surcharge. This is not stated online when you order. Thought that was shady. The malasada filling tasted good. The nata center tasted good,but I was disappointed by the burnt crust. My second one also had a burnt crust. I personally love Silvas bakery in Hayward for traditional Portuguese sweets

Enjoyed the pastries and donuts here! They are on the sweet side and very satisfying when you are in the mood for some well-made sweet treats! Got 6 of the small tarts and 2 donuts, one with strawberry and the other with chocolate hazelnut fillings. I personally loved the hazelnut filling and the donut texture was fluffy and light! The tarts were delicious as well and I enjoyed the lemon flavor; though the blueberry one was also good but the custard overpowered the fruity notes. Inside was pretty with comfortable lighting and decor. The lady who served me was full of smiles and very pleasant too. It was a great experience.

The masaladas are so creamy and delicious here, as are their portuguese tarts! Parking can be a bit difficult though, as I've only tried to go when my partner is driving. Definitely a nice treat when we can stop by and enjoyable every time.

Tried this spot through TooGooToGo, glad I did because we got to try a great mix of pastries! Bakery had no queue at 3:15pm, staff was kind, and surprise bag pick-up was super-fast. Highlights: * The croissants! Enormous (nearly the length of a whole salad/dessert plate), buttery, great for dunking in hot coffee. * Partner loved the Pão com Chouriço (bread with chorizo) - he ate one with salad for a filling lunch. Will definitely be back to try more sweets & their sandwiches.

Pasteleria Adega had been one of my favorite places since the pandemic. Anytime someone visits me I make them try a malasada and a little tart. The reaction is always the same as the food critic in Ratatouille. The tarts are literally perfect pastry. They are buttery but not greasy, even sweet but not cloying. Today I was finally able to try the steak sandwich and I instantly went "Holy S***" and started giggling after the first bite. The steak is perfectly cooked and tender beyond belief. Its got a wonderful unami and saltiness from the marinate with a perfect zingy hit of lemon at the end to clear the palette. This food makes me understand Michelin!

loved this place. i tried portuguese food. but not like pastries and baked goods. here's what i got. also this place wasn't packed which is weird. i've passed by it before and i've seen a small line before it's been open so yeah. definitely worth the try.

Wow! I just popped in on this place walking back to my car from eating a late lunch next door. I've seen the lines out the door and down the street before so I thought I would step in and see what they had left. It was almost closing time, but these 3 treats were gold! The pastry was so crunchy and delicious and each of the fillings were amazing. I'll definitely have to come back in the morning one day to get a huge sample of all of their specialties.

I ordered a set of 12 pastel de nata and 6 malassadas to split with my team. I selected the lemon and the chocolate hazelnut. The crust of the Portuguese egg tarts is so amazing! I love making custard and think I could attempt to replicate this at home, but the flaky crust is what I would struggle with replicating for sure. The lemon helped temper the sugary goodness of the egg tart, while the creamy hazelnut spread added another texture in the mix for my egg tart. The malassadas were just alright, they were very doughy and a bit tiring to eat since they lacked a more nuanced flavor (what with the sweetness of the malassada bread and the filling). My boyfriend liked his strawberry one and I enjoyed my plain vanilla one very much.

Famous Portuguese bakery shop at San Jose. It is usually busy and you have to line up. It is famous forcthe Portuguese eggtart. It is similar to Hongkong eggtart but the crust is different. It has viarites of flavor. Beside egg tart it also have other type of pastries. The egg tart is good.
