10/10 for the fish and Cajun fries! I personally liked the bang bang sauce and sweet chili sauce. The fish tacos were even more delicious, the shrimp was decent but the fish is the star. The breading was perfect while the fish was moist. I would pass on the macaroni salad since it was just alright. Will definitely be back, the person cooking was also very friendly and attentive.

Food- 5-Stars: Delicious Cajun-style seasoned Fish n Chips instead of the traditional battered-style. Additionally, we got the Mac Salad, Clam Chowder & Fries which were also delicious! Service - 5 Stars: We ordered the Hella Hungry with 4 Fish & 8 Shrimp. We originally only received 4 Shrimp but the owner made it right with a fresh order of 8 Shrimp. Outstanding Customer Service- will return & tell friends!

As the other commenter said, I got no clue how this place isn't more popular. Walked in after a long day on a Sunday night and I immediately got good vibes from the spot. Ordered some fish and chips and sat down to watch some Sunday night football on the tv. After a couple minutes, the gentleman in the kitchen got me right. Shoutout bro working on 10/12 you deserve the best. Great tasting, flavorful food. Fish was crispy and well cooked. Fries were hittin with every bite. The portions, the flavor, the experience... everything was perfect. I may have found my one of my new favorite cheat meals. I'll definitely be back!

The most amazing fish ever that i've tried. I was really craving some good fish and chips, and I did not want to drive far like to San Francisco or Monterey Bay, and this is when I found Golden Catch, the owner seems very passionate about his food, and takes his time making sure each order is made perfectly. I got the fish tacos with garlic fries, which WOW garlic galore. And my partner for the hungry meal one, that comes with fish, shrimp and fries. Everything was delicious and fresh. The location is good a near 880/101 freeway. And there is indoor and outdoor seating.

I can't believe this place isn't more popular. I got the Hungry 2 Fish 4 Shrimp which was DELICIOUS. Everything was made fresh in front of us. The owner was a G and hooked us up with some free sauces to try. Highly recommend getting the garlic sauce and having it with the shrimp. Definitely coming here again

Golden Catch Fish and Chips is truly a hidden gem in San Jose! the service was topquality and the workers are incredibly polite and attentive. The place was very comfortable with lots of seating including patio seating. The fish and chips were fresh! And you can see they cook everything to order. I like that you can choose a single piece of battered fish if you're not too hungry. Everything was cooked to perfection and their homemade tartar sauce was so good. I wish they had malt vinegar but literally just me being picky! 10/10!!!!!

A hidden gem definitely worth checking out if you want to find the best fish and chips spot in San Jose. They have a back patio with the wall painted with nature and animals so it feels like you're camping. Especially if you go later in the evening where the ambient overhanging lights turn on. Service was amazing, shoutout to the owner Hoody for getting us settled. - Shrimp sliders - 10/10 juicy and perfectly cooked - Shrimp sandwich - 10/10, pretty much a longer version of the sliders. - Fries - 10/10 perfectly seasoned. Most places when they offer seasoned fries, they're too salty and/or soggy from all the sauce. Not this place though, each one perfectly cooked and flavorful. This place also offers over 5 different sauces to choose from. Not pictured: - Hungry combo (fish, shrimp and fries) - 10/10. The fish is perfectly costly in an equal layer. They're thin cuts of Baja fish but the way Hoody fries them, the flavor and juice is still maintained. - churros - 10/10 it comes with ice cream to dip the bite of the churro. I help recommend coming here to try it out. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

Came in and ordered at 1:35 pm and received my order of "Super Hungry" which contains 3 fish pieces and 5 shrimp pieces about an hour later TikTok made this small shop blow up so expect a LONG wait. I didn't receive my order until 2:40 pm or so I checked my order and noticed they only gave me 3 pieces of shrimps : ( I wanted to ask about it but looking how busy it was and everyone was still waiting on their order, I didnt want to cause more of a delay But let's get down to the food: it was amaizng. Everything was coated very lightly in batter and made it so crispy. I would come back once the whole TikTok craze dies down

Really really great fish and chips spot. Its tucked in a plaza in the corner so it can be easily missed. The workers are very nice and attentive. They even give out additional sauces without extra charge! They fry the fish and fries all fresh so when you get them, it is steaming as soon as you take a bite into it. The fish tacos are jammed pack with flavor which pairs very well with their Bang Bang sauce drizzled on top. I will definitely be back!

Was craving some fish and chips and found this spot on Yelp. I ordered the Heck of Big Fish and Chips plate, which comes with four big pieces of fish, eight shrimp, and two sides. For the sides, I went with garlic fries and Cajun fries (which cost a bit extra). The food itself was really good--big portions and overall satisfying. The Cajun fries didn't have as much flavor as I hoped, but the garlic fries were excellent, with lots of real garlic chunks. I also loved the butter garlic sauce on the side--super flavorful and rich. The shrimp was well-seasoned with great flavor. The fish could've used a bit more seasoning, but it was still nicely crisp and not too oily. I also tried their "crack sauce," which they're known for, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. My favorite was definitely the garlic butter. The whole plate was $38, which felt a little hefty, but the portion size helped justify the price. Service was great--the guy helping me was super friendly and even gave me extra sauce. The ambience was okay. It had a pirate ship theme, which was fun, but the place felt a bit on the dirty side. Overall: 10/10 if you're just looking for good fish and chips. It's definitely worth checking out if that's what you're in the mood for.
