Stopped by today to try the purple stuffed sticky rice roll. The interior is like a small grocery store or market. I did not take a picture of the rice roll, but it was so yummy! I read a review that it was mushy, so I was a bit hesitant to try it, but I'm glad I did. The interior was crispy and very flavorful, it could be because they just brought out a fresh batch. I also bought the fermented gluten and rice siu mai. Both were delicious, but the fermented gluten was my favorite item of the day. It was bursting with flavor! If I was more hungry, I could probably eat the entire container in one sitting. The siu mai was good too, especially that pop of mushrooms in the rice. Due to the language barrier, it was a bit challenging to ask about the menu. The older man working there was kind and tried his best to help me, even though we couldn't communicate easily. I actually felt bad because I couldn't convey what I wanted in an easier way for him to understand. Luckily, lots of the items inside are labeled so you can read the ingredients on your own. I think some things are bit too pricey for what they are but I understand the area is on the expensive side and they're a small business. I'll definitely go back to try more things, maybe at lunch to make a to-go box next time.

It's honestly amazing having a 100% veggie place in the Bay that also makes Taiwanese breakfast. There are almost no places that make shaobing youtiao in NorCal (or any?), let alone one that makes a decent version. Everything is expensive here, but for all the work it takes to make each item they sell, I think it's worth paying for. The place is really small, and functions more like a mini-mart or deli than purely a breakfast place. You can buy various kinds of freshly-made tofu, beancurd, soymilks, and small dishes to take home. Just make sure you know what you want when you order at the register, because the owner won't have any patience for dillydallying. We got a purple rice fantuan, a daikon pastry, and a shaobing youtiao. 1) Fantuan was pretty solid: youtiao fried the right amount, pickled veggies, veggie floss. Only downside was that the rice was not fully/evenly cooked in some parts. 3.5/5 2) Daikon pastry was flaky, buttery, and packed with tender, shredded daikon. 4/5 3) Shaobing youtiao was pretty solid as far as what you can get in the US. The shaobing was super flaky (maybe a little too much), and the youtiao was perfect. 4/5

I used to love this place for their chive pancakes, but I don't think my family and I will go here anymore due to the stale and old taste of the recent thick green onion pancakes that we ordered. I paid approximately $8.00 for two pieces and my family mentioned that it tasted "like it was left out from last night". When I touched the pancakes, they were as hard as a rock - not even a microwave or toaster oven could save them. I wish I could have had a better experience, but unfortunately, I probably will not be going here anymore.

Heard about Sogo Tofu randomly through social media and knew I had to pay a visit and try their rice burritos and authentic side dishes. The entire store is vegetarian and offers plenty of choices to pick from, ranging traditional Chinese herbs, soy milk, fresh side dishes, desserts, soups and frozen buns. I picked up two different versions of their rice burritos, kao fu side dish (braised wheat gluten), shao bing, and red bean paste puff pastries. I loved everything except the rice burritos purely because of the texture of the vegetarian pork floss which made it mushy. I've been back a few times now and always get the kao fu and the red bean paste pastry- so good!

Recheck the soybean milk even taken from the store fridge. I got one bad upon opening at the lunch table. So embarrassing. I had to drive back to exchange. Watch out!!!

It has been 2 years since my first visit here and it has remained reliable and unchanged. Still, I can look forward to the most deliciously brewed soy milk, hand made tofu products, grab & go tofu and noodle dishes in the fridge, frozen items like bao and dumplings and ready-to-go hot food too. I almost always come for the gua bao and rice balls with a side of chili oil and maybe a grab & go item from the fridge. This is a tiny mom & pop shop that really gives off that local hole in the wall vibe I feel when I'm in Taiwan. I've said this before but if I lived closer, I'd honestly be here every other day. They have so much yummy stuff to try and it's sure to nourish your craving for good, healthy food. There is no shortage of protein here! I can't wait until my next visit!

Great Taiwanese/Chinese vegetarian takeout place with many different dishes to choose from, they have extremely limited seating. Food is little oilier than I would like but still delicious. Service is quick, and they have frozen items that you can buy and take home.

The food here was really good and I enjoyed every bite even though I came not knowing what to expect, the flavors were fresh and well balanced without being over the top the kind of taste that makes you want to come back, the staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome right away which made the whole experience even better, they checked in a few times to make sure everything was alright without being pushy and seemed genuinely happy to help, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed which made it easy to enjoy the meal without any rush or noise, the portions were just right and the presentation showed care which added a nice touch to the whole dining, overall it felt like a spot where people care about what they serve and how they treat guests, and I appreciated that kind of genuine effort in every part of the visit.

The overall feel of the place was very welcoming and the staff made it clear they wanted us to have a pleasant time by being both polite and friendly without rushing us the menu had a nice range of choices and every dish we tried was tasty and well made the flavors were fresh and vibrant with just the right amount of seasoning not too bland and not too salty which showed good attention to detail the portions were generous enough to satisfy but not leave you overly full which was nice the service was steady and efficient with a friendly touch that made the visit comfortable the kitchen clearly cared about using good quality ingredients because it showed in the taste and texture of the food i really appreciated how smoothly everything went from start to finish and how everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing
