Located in San Jose Mineta Airport, Terminal B (by gate 22). I was a little hungry but wanted more than just my usual chips before boarding my flight. Trader Vic's wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm. You order from a cashier and they have a nice seating area. I planned to go to my gate and saw that they also have a Grab and Go section, and I went with the Macaroni Salad. The cashier was super friendly. The restaurant is decorated nicely in the regular Trader Vic's vibe. The Macaroni Salad was delicious. It had ham, carrots, onion, Greek yogurt, mayo, and pineapple juice (yum). It was light and just really perfect. Luckily SJC is one of my regular airports so I will be able to enjoy the mac salad again!

While waiting for my departure flight, I stopped by Trader Vic's Outpost to grab a quick bite. This is located directly across from their main restaurant, Trader Vic's, that has a bar and a more formal restaurant setting. The outpost sells grab and go pre-made salads, sandwiches, side dishes, coffee, beverages, and snacks. I wanted something less formal so I opted for the outpost as opposed to the restaurant. For my visit, I ordered a Crog in Coconut iced coffee, macaroni salad, Trader Vic Salad (spring lettuce mix, diced tomatoes, artichoke, palm hearts, and Javanese dressing), coconut cashews snack, and bottled water. I really enjoyed the salad and macaroni salad. I wasn't a huge fan of the iced coffee and found the flavor to be a bit too strong with the warm earthy spices. If you like the warm spices, then you might enjoy this coffee. It wasn't too bad and tasted better after it was watered down a bit by the melted ice. The outpost is managed by a little old lady who was very sweet. Although this was not a formal restaurant, there were lots of tables where you could sit down to enjoy your food, which was what I did. I sat at a table next to the large glass window, so I had a nice view of roundabout on the side of the airport, just people-watching.

Arguably the prettiest airport food Ive ever eaten. Got the beef short ribs. It was soooo soft and the macaroni salad went so well with it. Definitely gonna come back when I visit the San Jose airport again.
