Tsujita is my favorite ramen place and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like or crave ramen. I've been here for lunch and dinner, I typically will come right when it opens so I've never waited but it's pretty small inside and they do get busy by the time I leave so it's good to come early. I love their Spicy Tsukemen Deluxe, I always get this and it hits the spot every time! The meat is so tender and the broth is very flavorful. I do need to cut the saltiness a little and I find that extra lime on the noodle helps significantly, and everyone I've come here with does extra lime too as it really makes a difference. I've never been able to finish my bowl and typically have some to take to go which is nice because for the price it is, it's a little over one serving for me. So happy they opened a location in San Jose!!

FOOD: 3 SERVICE: 3 AMBIANCE: 3 VALUE: 2 What does "Artisan" mean? Everything cost 25% more! We came here for lunch expecting great things from Yelp reviews. We were hugely disappointed. We ordered the following: Chashu Ramen - tonkatsu ramen with three extra slices of roasted pork at $4.00 (24%). No extra noodles or other ingredients. The broth was creamy but did not have tonkatsu taste. The roasted pork was salty and the egg had barely any taste. Salmon + Ikura bowl - yes, this is supposed to me a side dish to a ramen bowl, but at $11.95, this would have made your lunch meal almost $30! My wife had this as her lunch meal and she was hungry again around 4:30PM. She also had to ask for soy sauce because it was so bland. Agedashi tofu - it looks like they sliced a 1"X1"X1" cube of tofu and charged $5 for it. Yes there's some work in preparation, but for that price, they should have used fresh frying oil. It's becoming a trend when you call something artisan/artisanal and jack up the price by 25%. While Ramen N down the street in Valley Fair is similarly priced, at least their ramen tastes good and you don't go away hungry. YMMV, but we won't be back.

Tsujita is located in the same shopping plaza as Mitsuwa. Parking can be difficult during the weekends and lunch hour. I was able to visit this location with only a short five minute wait on an early Saturday morning. They have a limited menu with some great options. We tried the karaage, tsukemen, and deluxe tsukemen. The dipping broth was rich and savory, as expected. The noodles were perfectly chewy and had a good bite. The karaage was crispy and cooked to order. However, the dipping sauce was a hard pass for me. I would much prefer Kewpie mayo over the sweet chili sauce they offered. While the food was good, I definitely wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes to eat here. I do miss Kahoo Ramen that was at this location for many years. With that being said, if you are craving tsukemen, this is probably the best option in the South Bay.

Ehh, I thought it was ok. I remember their SGV location tasted more savory. Maybe it's better down in SGV tbh. What's funny is almost everyone unanimously was ordering their regular ramen, as opposed to the dipping ramen. I guess the dipping ramen is considered less popular, despite it being the more unique thing to order, let alone what they're sorta known for?

So happy they have a location in the Bay Area! Came by on a Friday and arrived 10 minutes before they opened. There was already a line forming. When we got in, all the big tables were full and we got seated at the bar. I like bar seating when it's just two people (and knowing it's not like we're going to order multiple bowls). You see the workers in action in the back! Ordered the deluxe tsukemen - tasted just as good as I remembered from the last time I had it in LA. Noodles were cooked perfectly, paired so well with the savory broth. Enjoyed the meal with a nice crisp beer. I like that they offer hot soup at the end. I packed my leftover soup home to make another meal out of it. 10/10 meal!

I remember eating this for the first time at the one in LA, so I wanted to try this location to compare. First off, it is a small restaurant, so you will be expected to wait (but that's expected since this is a popular ramen spot). So, you have to have your ENTIRE party there in order to get seated. Make sure you keep that in mind when you decide to dine here. Luckily we didn't wait too long for our last party member to arrive, and they had a one table left for us, so we were definitely lucky! We got chicken karaage for the whole table to share. It had four pieces, so we were able to have one piece each. It was pretty good. The chicken was juicy, and the dipping sauce went well with it. I do wish it was a little bit more crispy, but overall, I would rate it As for the ramen, I ordered their tsukemen ramen, but spicy. The flavor was good. The dipping sauce had good chunks of chashu pork in it, very fatty. The spice did give a good kick, but not numbing or burning. I would say the spice level is perfect for a cold day. The noodles were pretty good, too. It had a good chew to it, not firm. It didn't soak up a lot of the sauce, though. I would rate it a Overall, I am glad I got to try this place out. My personal opinion, the SoCal location is slightly better, but this still hit the spot! Give this place a try if you're in the area. Be aware that there's a ton of establishments in the same plaza, so parking can be difficult, especially during peak hours. Plan accordingly!

Tsujita is one of my favorite ramen place, especially for tsukemen. I cannot tell you how excited I was to find out that a location finally opened up in the Bay Area. Husband and I went during a weekend, maybe 30-45 minutes before the restaurant opened. There were maybe a couple of people hanging around but definitely not hours long wait like when they opened up. We were able to be seated in the first group of people when they opened. The location itself is not huge. I believe they can fit up to 30 people? They have a mixture of bar seating and tables. The staff were friendly. We both got the Deluxe Tsukemen. The portion was enough for us and left us satisfied. I have no complaints about the broth or the noodles. Tsujita continues to be my go to for tsukemen and we will definitely go back.

Came here on a Saturday noon with my friend to explore what took over the remains of Kahoo Ramen. We waited about 45 minutes in line and got to peer into the untinted glass at the eating people. It's fun and games until you're on the other side of things... Especially if you get the seat facing the outside and see people just stare directly at you. The food was just okay. The noodles feel kind of thick and chewy, and the dipping broth feels a bit heavy for my taste. I want to say they go pretty heavy handed on the flavor. I definitely walked out feeling a bit sluggish. Also, spicy doesn't really mean that spicy (if you know what I mean). We also ordered a karaage, which was pretty serviceable, but nothing to write home about. For the value I would probably not go here again. The deluxe spicy tsukemen was ~$26.5 and then the karaage was another ~$6.5 so that means for two people we paid $40 for a meh meal. That plus the wait and I am pretty reluctant to go back. It's just okay. I think the name is hyping it up a lot. The service was pretty good though, but the dining experience definitely felt a bit rushed due to the people staring at us... I lowkey miss the old Kahoo that used to be in this place.

Yum!! Heard all the hype about this spot when it was coming to the Bay Area and finally got to try it. Came on a Tuesday for lunch and was seated right away. Got the spicy tonkotsu with the spicy on the side and I'm so glad I did because I put in half of everything and it was pretty spicy for me. Finally a spicy ramen that's actually spicy! The noodles are thin but al dente. It's located in the mitsuwa plaza so parking can be a little tricky during peak hours. Will definitely come back!

Having been to multiple Tsujita locations in Tokyo and also LA, you could say my expectations were high. Of course, ramen in Tokyo is on a completely different spectrum and I don't think it'd be a fair comparison. Nevertheless, it was still delicious here. The LA and SJ locations are pretty consistent with each other. I don't think I'd be able to nitpick out any major differences. I've only tried the dipping ramen, but it's definitely my new favorite dipping now. The noodles are bouncy and have a perfect chew. The broth (as expected) is concentrated but offers a complex flavor. Comparing it to the only other dipping ramen establishment that offers buckwheat noodles, the broth at Tsujita is less bonito/fish-forward. You'll find more umami and pork flavor. Adding (extra) lime to the noodles is necessary for me to help cut the intensity of the flavor and oil. Overall, this is a great place for a quick bite. The menu is limited and straight-forward. Food comes out quickly. We tend to arrive right around opening time to avoid potential waits.
