This is a  Michelin restaurant . The quality of the food is excellent. Steak 🥩 was excellent tender and juicy. The ambience is great. The server is friendly attentive and good customer service. Friends and I celebrated a birthday here last weekend. If you want something good for lunch or dinner you gotta check out the place. Cocktails is absolutely 👍🏻. Thank you Coast Range staffs we had a wonderful dinner for the birthday celebration Coast.

We ended up here for brunch because a nearby restaurant was busy with a line wrapped out the door, so we simply stumbled upon this place. We checked out the menu and then realized it was a Michelin star restaurant! We were in luck because the all-American breakfast with the biscuits and bacon and the malted waffle with butterscotch chips were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was very quiet and there weren’t many people there at the hour we were there. Highly recommend this place!

While the food was absolutely delicious, our dining experience was unfortunately marred by poor service. As tourists excited to try this recommended restaurant, we were generally looking forward to our visit. Most of the staff were warm and welcoming, but our main waitress was an exception.

She was a woman in her mid-40s to 50s, with reddish-brown hair, red or burgundy glasses, and a slightly heavier build. Her behavior was unprofessional and left us feeling disrespected. For instance, she placed the bill on our table without a word, and upon reviewing the bill, we noticed that a $30 tip had been added automatically, without our consent. While we always leave a tip in cash, we found it unusual that the tip was added preemptively.

Additionally, when taking our order, I politely requested to start with a few family members first, but she abruptly replied "no," insisting we order in the sequence we were seated. While I understand this may have been for logistical reasons, her tone was unnecessarily passive-aggressive. Toward the end of our meal, when we handed her our payment, she snatched the card from my hand without any acknowledgment. I chose not to address it at the time to avoid conflict, but it certainly added to the uncomfortable atmosphere.

That said, I would like to acknowledge the other members of the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and respectful throughout our visit. Unfortunately, our interaction with this particular waitress overshadowed an otherwise pleasant experience. We felt that we were treated unfairly, without cause, and this left a negative impression on what was otherwise a delightful meal. The food was, as mentioned, excellent, though a bit on the pricier side.

Well where do I start. I initially made reservations for the restaurant but changed my mind and went to the bar area where Gabby and her sarcastic personality made me feel completely welcome as it blended perfectly with mine. She knew exactly what I wanted for food and even though I should’ve listened I instead ordered the lamb. Delicious btw but if she says order the bone marrow, order the damn bone marrow. The experience has been amazing and I’ll definitely be returning next time here in Solvang. Hopefully Gabby will be on shift and I can get the same service.

The food is good here, but not “great” for the price.  Prices should be about 15-20% less for the quality. But being in the heart of Solvang makes up for it somewhat. Just be prepared to pay a lot for a little. 2 bread rolls are $7 but they are really good but if you’re expecting a basket of rolls then you’ll be surprised.  Also be careful deviating from the drink menu because they will hit you hard with an up charge for grey goose so be ready to pay for it.  Our Filet Mignons were good but a little tough and I had to spit out a pretty large chunk of gristle which is hard to forgive at these prices.  Wife’s steak had the same issue.  Their Mac and Cheese is really good but ours came out cold in the middle.  And one very odd thing was that last year there were a ton of gnats flying around and we figured it was just an anomaly but a year later, we had gnats again, not as many but still there which kinda blew our mind.  In the end, the people there are amazing and incredibly kind, friendly and attentive which helps justify the prices somewhat. Just go in knowing you’re going to likely spend over $300 for 2 people with tip and please always tip the staff as they are well worth it and work super hard.
