Highly recommend their scallops and seafood dishes as that is what I ordered whereas the rest of the table enjoyed their meat dishes.

I'm not a fancy food guy, but everything here is incredible. For LG, the prices are super reasonable and you get real, high quality food with decent portions too. It's one of those rare restaurants where you can go casual or fancy and not be out of place. And the staff is amazing, too!

ASA Restaurant in Los Altos Hills, California, offers an unpretentious yet gratifying gastronomic experience. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with good friends, its pleasant atmosphere and simple design create a perfect setting to enjoy its delicious food and excellent selection of wines. The service is impeccable, and I can’t help but recommend their anchovy bread, one of the best I’ve tasted, with an exceptional balance of flavors, and their clams are delicious. Without a doubt, a place I will return to soon.

This place is pretty mediocre across the board. The prices and portions vary so wildly you'd honestly think they are chosen randomly. Also the service is SO UNBELIEVABLY SLOW that you'd be better off ordering your food for pick up, but even if you do prepare for it to be overcooked.

This places charges an absolute eye-watering $6/oyester. I have no idea who they think will pay this. This is crazy even for bay area prices.

Anyways, rant over. The anchovie bread were actually really surprisingly good. Very buttery with a hint of mustard and the anchovies add a nice saltiness. The croquettes were delectable as well.

The main courses were a mixed bag. The halibut I was told was excellent. The pork chops were cooked well, but didn't wow.

The paella was pretty mid and was told "I would give a 2/5. There was no chorizo even though the ,menu said it contained it, the shrimp was rubbery and tough (overcooked) and was way too soupy."

The duck was good as well, but they needed to remake the fish for us because it came out completely well done and had to send it back. Once it came back, I would say the duck was above average, but nothing to wow about. The duck itself didn't really taste seasoned and if you didn't eat it with the topping, it was unremarkable. The skin didn't even taste salted.

The tuna was quite phenomenal. It was cooked perfectly, the rice was good, the saucy had amazing flavor. But it was way too expensive for six slices of tuna and two scoops of rice.

The biggest disappointment was the service. The waiting times were atrocious. For a party of five it took us TWO HOURS from getting seated to paying the bill. it would have been way longer if we ordered desert. It took 30 minutes for appetizers to come out and 45 minutes for entrees, and then another 15 minutes to get a new duck dish.

I would consider coming back if the service was not so abysmally slow.
