Just stopped by to try out the Tri tip bahn mi sandwich was so flavorful chimichurri was on point. Meat was tender and juicy also tried the surf and turf option well seasoned beef and garlic shrimp also very tasty. Iced Vietnamese coffee was perfectly strong. Overall had an amazing experience staff and owner very friendly will be coming back soon.

Aight, I wanna like this place, but I definitely was not in love with what I ordered. Got some sort of Tri-Tip Banh Mi, thinking that Banh Mi is pretty good sometimes and I know tri-tip is almost always good! Well, they were both not good together. Like, you know that fat burger from In'n'Out you love stuffing in your fat face? Now imagine getting some sweet delish Sashimi or Udon or hard-boiled eggs, I dunno, man, whatever, just something that you like that isn't a freaking burger! Now, take those two delicious meals and throw them in the blender and chug that. Yeah, just like that you filthy animal! Probably not good. Could be! But almost for sure is not. So yeah, sometimes two good things don't make a GREAT thing! But I would love to try their normal Banh Mi, cuz that sh\t is probably fuego.

As an VN-American from the east coast, I am always at the ready to try anyone's original Banh Mi. So I did, I ordered the cold cut Banh Mi, and much to my surprise, it tasted exactly as expected! I would say it seemed to run a little small in my opinion, and a little without soul, but how do you quantify soul? Regardless I give it a thumbs up. I had the shrimp spring rolls. Alas I am used to it also having pork belly in it. But everyone has their own style and this one had way too much lettuce in it, and not enough of anything else. Vermicelli was quite absent, and I gather it was probably healthier for me, but I would not get these again. I had a mango shake with boba and it was excellent.

tl;dr Looks like a large portion when you first get it, but after you finish eating, you might still be hungry and unsatisfied. Very small sit down area with just a few tables so come with a small party or be ready to take to go. My husband and I ate in, with me getting a custom bowl with 5 spice pork, broccoli and bean sprouts, with a spring mix base. It comes in a little plastic to go container with a small box for sauce and is packed to the brim. However, since the container is so shallow, I ate all of it and still wasn't full. My husband felt the same, and he got a more traditional bowl with the same pork and rice noodle base instead. The flavor was also unremarkable, even after drowning it in our sauces. The prices were reasonable, less than $16 for an entree, which is hard to find nowadays, but since it wasn't flavorful or super filling, it didn't feel satisfying.

Cute, small, and convenient cafe to satisfy all your cravings. We were in search for Vietnamese coffee and stopped by this joint around lunch time. After viewing the menu, we couldn't help but also pick up a few banh mi sandwiches as well. We tried the lemongrass chicken and the pork, both of which tasted fresh and light. Service was friendly and speedy. Recommend this cafe as an easy, to-go option if you're ever in the area and looking for basic Vietnamese food.

This is a great place to get a quick meal. I tried the make-your-own bowl and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything was. The serving of chicken was really generous, surprising how much chicken they put on it. I got the lemongrass chicken, and it was very flavorful. It came out very quickly. My friend I was eating with enjoyed her sandwich, which was very large. I did wish you could have a mix of rice and lettuce, that is, do half and half on the base. You can add salad to a rice bowl, but it wouldn't be quite the same as what I wanted. Also in the picture, it is a round bowl that looks like the veggie sides are ample, but it is served in a rectangular container with just a few veggie sides thrown on the side. Not fancy or anything outside. The tables were fine and everything was very clean. A good spot for a quick meal.

This review is for the drinks. We had Vietnamese coffee and matcha milk tea. The coffee was good, very strong, the matcha was so bad, sweet and powdery, very artificial flavor.

Ambiance: normal. Small sandwich spot with 3 tables. Nothing super exciting. I do like how big and clear the menu was. Service: normal. Friendly workers. Order took about 10 minutes. Food: Not so great. First of all, I had high expectations because $30 for 2 Vietnamese sandwiches is expensive (even for the Bay Area). I ordered a "special" char-siu chicken banh-mi and my husband got a #1: cold cut pate banh mi. I'm sad to say that my first thought when I bit into my sandwich was that the chicken was DRY. It was so dry that I didn't even want to finish my sandwich. The flavor was ok, the bread was not great, and I was disappointed. My husband said his sandwich was just ok. Sorry to say I will not be coming back here. Too expensive and not that good. My favorite Vietnamese sandwich spots are Carrot & Daikon and Duc Huong, and this place comes nowhere near those two.

Yay good banh mi! The cold cut pate banh mi was beautiful. The pate was so creamy and smooth, with a strong bite of black pepper. It satisfied my craving, very tasty. Refreshing pickled daikon and carrot. 3 different types of cold cuts. I'd definitely get it again. Very nice and a classic. The 5 spice grilled pork banh mi was just okay. It was a nice warm sandwich, but the pork was a bit too salty for me and a bit dry in some bites. The bread was good, a bit crispy on the outside. Chewy inside. Overall I still enjoyed it but I'm not sure if I would get it again (maybe try a different one next time). They are pretty solid/handy to eat the next day too (the bread won't be as crisp, but flavors are all still very good). It was pretty easy to order on the screen. The parking was a bit difficult at the time I went, lots of restaurants nearby in the plaza.

Boyfriend treated me to lunch here after we left Great America. It's solid banh mi! Really enjoyed the lemongrass chicken. I judge banh mi on how much meat they stuff into it, along with the crunchiness and freshness of the bread. Can definitely recommend this as the place to go if you get banh mi cravings while in Santa Clara, whether you're at the convention center, Great America, Levi's Stadium or anywhere in Santa Clara.
