It was my pleasure to be invited to a family member's wedding reception at Jamison Brown House aka JB House. I would never thought this historical building being used for many memorable events. It's located all in the way in the back of the park, opposite of Triton Museum. My GPS app took me around the block 3 times and I finally decided to walk. At this venue, the hostess used the lawn area for picnic-style dining while house being used for food preparation and one restroom. She also rented a nearby building Santa Clara Players for additional restrooms. Only thoughtful event organizer would think ahead of people when they have to go. Just by walking around, Jamison Brown House has so many artistic elements for photography projects. Like posing a bride or graduate on the porch with the railing. Or, bride and groom holding hands walking down the wooden stairs. Oh, better yet, have kids looking through the beveled glass window with curious expression. The website has a list of criteria for caterers, permits and discount for Santa Clara residents. It's a good idea to come out to check out Jamison Brown House for your next venue.

We celebrated our Son's first birthday party here and had around 150 guests. It was a hassle getting the city permit, Santa Clara business license for the restaurant which catered our food, insurance for a day etc. All this added up a pretty hefty amount in addition to the space rental which was not cheap. The house also has very strict rules with respect to what gets onto the walls and how far our furniture needs to be away from the walls etc. In addition to all this, there was a bad smell emanating from the kitchen. In spite of all these issues and the cost, we had an amazing time. Our guests loved the venue. Our party was on a warm summer evening and it couldn't have been better. We used the outdoor area for seating and not the house and it was truly magical.

Celebrated a HS Graduation at JB House over the weekend with over 160 guests and we could not have had at a more perfect place. We had so many compliments on the venue and many were already talking about having their next event there. Sana and John were the staff that evening and they were accessible throughout the night and often checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. Carmen, the event manager was also very nice and was very patient throughout the whole process up until the event. I would highly recommend this place for any celebration - big or small.

We had our baby shower here this past week and honestly it was working with Carmen that made our event a success. She was very easy to work with and venue was perfect. FYI: If you live in the city of Santa Clara you get a discount on the facility rental charge. 1) The location is a little tricky (you see the Triton Museum first when you drive up on Warburton), but if you try to drive around the museum you'll see a parking lot and the house is located directly behind the museum and easily visible from the parking lot. There is no shortage of parking. Actual Address of house is 1507 Warburton Ave. 2) The house is spacious with a huge kitchen and a nice back entry (from the parking lot straight into the kitchen for your cater-er); fully functional bathroom inside the house (with a full length mirror) and another side room with a full length mirror so you can get ready in the house. 2a) They even have a huge wooden dining table (~12 feet +) in the house where you can setup a buffet area. 3) The lawn area outside the house can also be used for an event, so there is TONS of space. 4) Lovely landscape - tall redwoods, alot of shade in the afternoon; during our event the sun never directly came into the house - it was awesome. Alot of our guests ended up sitting outside in the veranda (where we had tables/chairs setup)

Went for a good friends wedding, the set up was nice. The staff assists with cleaning by the end of the wedding event. This is a Beautiful Venue to have a memorable wedding!.

This is a secret gem of Santa Clara that I was sooo fortunate to find. The city owns this home that is behind the museum. It is great for small weddings -up to 45 people- and other small events. It was built in 1866 and was on the grounds of where Great America is now. In 1970 it was moved behind the Triton Museum and is managed by them. The house is unfurnished and is rented by the hour. You have use of the kitchen and the rooms upstairs, it is temp controlled. I took some beautiful photographs all over the grounds and throughout the house. Our contact was wonderful and even helped us out with a lot of the aspects of the wedding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

If you are searching for a wedding venue that has redwoods, beautiful grounds and plenty of uniqueness, oh an at a price that no other venue can compete with, then the Jamison-Brown House is your ideal setting. I loved every aspect of the JB house, so historic, the grounds were the perfect private setting allowing us the ability to gather with friends and family in such a beautiful and convenient location to hold our daughter's wedding reception. Carmen, you were awesome to work with. Thank you for everything. Like a dream. I highly encourage you to check out this hidden gem.

We had our baby shower here in March and it was beautiful! Love the house it is gorgeous there is plenty of parking and Amanda was amazing! She helped me with everything and I really appreciated her patience with me as I was a wreck having been on bed rest and only able to do things over the phone. Would love to have our sons birthday party's here as a tradition such a great kid friendly place. :)
