Organized and professional. Opa is always on time and prepared. They pay a lot of attention to the details, and the buffet not only looks nice, but is functional (menu at the start, food is well marked, nice looking serving dishes, etc). Everything flows well, with Angela and staff carefully watching over and immediately addressing any issues. (no tongs submerged in the gravy; no empty containers; no unattended spills, etc). Menu variety and quality: The food quality is consistently great, and the recipes are creative. Green beans? Nope. Blanched haricot vert, salt, pepper, olive oil and a pinch of chili flakes to make them pop! Some of my other favs are the truffle mac&cheese, Beef Bourguignon, and any of their "Backyard BBQ" dishes. They just don't compare to our other caterers because the dishes are far more creative--like what you'd expect to see on a good restaurant's dinner menu. Overall, I just can't stress enough what a vast difference there is between Opa and our other caterers. Most prepare food that is totally acceptable, but lack complex flavors. All of ours provide us with fresh foods, healthy options, and some items that are more indulgent. But the difference is like comparing a Diner with a restaurant more suited for 'Date Night.' I love a good diner, but I'll choose Opa any day.

Wow! What a great job they do! Angela came over to my house way before my event to see the layout and help me design and cater a second wedding reception. She helped me pick the food, tables, chairs, and set up to make the whole party feel connected. She explained great reasons why I might go with one pairing over another and helped estimate how much to get. Her experience shows and her service is so customer centered. She helped me work within my budget. She was great at communicating with me as the process unfolded. The staff came on time and set up everything in advance. Then, another staff member came later to drop off the food so it was warm. The next day, not only did they come to pick up all the equipment but they also went through the backyard and cleared out all the party trash that wasn't even theirs and took it with them. Excellent service from start to finish!

We just returned from our destination wedding in Half Moon Bay, CA. Coordinating the catering plans via Iowa and Arizona created a unique challenge which was met with professionalism through Opa! Through months of texts, e-mails, and phone calls, Nancy went above and beyond to create the perfect wedding reception. From designing the menu, table decor, and ceremony arrangement, our vision became reality! All along the way, Nancy's advice was greatly appreciated! Tables, chairs, linens, china, wedding arch, and outdoor heaters were all coordinated with Nancy's help through William's Party Rental. Chef Marty and his staff were outstanding as they designed the venue space to create the perfect flow between the bar space, appetizers, salad, main buffet, and the dessert table while the presentation was lovely. But most importantly, the food was incredible! When you work long distance with a catering company you just have to put your trust in them. Our apprehension was laid to rest as Chef Marty began prepping the ingredients and adjusted serving times to assure the food was served at the most opportune time! From the chorizo & prawn skewers, brochette platter, caprese skewers, lamb meatballs, chophouse salad, truffled potato gratin, asparagus & broccoli, creamy grilled chicken breasts, herb-crusted beef loin, and ratatouille casserole... everything was OUTSTANDING! The dessert table was filled with a tantalizing array of chocolate mousse cakes, key lime tarts, mini cheese cakes, and churros! Our guests raved about the food! Nancy, Chef Marty, and the servers were so polite and worked as a team. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed! We couldn't have asked for better service! We are great Opa restaurant customers and so we. We were looking for caterers for an even I tried to book Opa for an event but their customer service is terrible. I sent an email to the address designated on the website and got no response. I then tried calling the number assigned a few times but it always went to voicemail and the mailbox was full for over a week. I then called the cell phone designated on the site for the woman who is in charge of catering and was so happy when she picked up but she said she doesn't have time to talk to me and is away from her office so she doesn't know if our date is available and promised to get back to me. I told her that I've been trying to talk to a live person for over a week and sent her an email she didn't respond to and that her voicemail was always full. She apologized and promised to get back to me- that was over a month ago. She never did and the email went unanswered. Needless to say that they lost my business and left a very bad taste in my mouth. Didn't expect such poor customer service

I can't say enough about the fantastic experience we had for my son's graduation party that Opa catered. The food was delicious & everyone raved about it. The presentation was beautiful & the service was excellent. Angela & her team were so professional, friendly & great to work with.
