Pleasant cafe with pleasant sandwiches made from good quality pleasant ingredients. The whole package is, you guessed it, pleasant, and maybe that's enough. Nothing really stood out but, be warned, a small soup and sandwich will cost you almost $25. No pricing is visible on the overhead menu board. I ate at the Winchester cafe (near The Garret) and discovered that The Purple Onion has a Los Gatos downtown location as well. I suspect we're getting that LG surcharge at the Winchester strip mall location. I debated between a 3 or 4 star review but landed on three due to no real desire to rush back plus the steep prices for simply serviceable food. To me this adds to three stars. Your opinion may vary, I've talked to locals who love this place.

One of our least favorite spots in LG for coffee. For the price the quality just doesn't hold a candle to LG Coffee Roasters or Great Bear up the road. The ambiance and seating is fantastic, with plenty of outdoor shaded seating. The quality of the coffee and food is not up to par with the other areas nearby and price point though.

The Thai Turkey sandwich was cold. Cold Brie is tasteless. I had to point out that the little bit of sriracha mayo was being used to glue a slicer of Brie to the bread. They forgot the basil. They added it after I pointed it out, but you could do better and cheaper at a Subway. The side salad is sad and bagged with a meh dressing. For $20 a sandwich, you can do better than here.

I come here often--so much that I've even DoorDashed it, despite it being within walking distance of my house! I usually like to take photos of my food, but for some reason, I always forget. Still, I couldn't pass up the chance to write a review because I love the variety of food they offer, no matter what I'm in the mood for. Their quiches are incredible and come with a choice of soup--I'm especially a fan of the Detox soup, which I enjoy both as a side and a full serving. Their overnight oats are the best I've ever had. Even though I know the ingredients, I just can't replicate that perfect balance of flavors--it's one of my go-to items. I've also tried their salads and sandwiches, and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My only small complaint is that I wish they opened a little earlier, but it just makes me look forward to their food even more. I also appreciate the option for both indoor and outdoor seating--it's such a cozy spot!

I decided to patron this Cafe since I work across the street and I was sadly not greeted by the young man at the counter nicely at all. I asked questions about the sandwich and for the price I asked questions he said a generous amount of meat and never said there was a side salad until I asked why my sandwich was$17.43? Sadly I got back to work and was extremely disappointed hardly any meat and brie cheese just 2 small chunks hardly any cucumbers. Unfortunately I will not be back at any location. Had the service been great I might have over seen such a high priced sandwich but there was two negative s and got that I will not go back. I actually had my coworker think I was crazy for spending Thai much money for a sad sandwich. He's right :(

We ordered take out after our hike on the Los Gatos Creek Trail. It's so convenient. Ordered online and loved that we have so many customized options on what we want in the meal. Service- at the counter was Alexi who was very accommodating because after picking up our meals, i asked for hot water. Great positive attitude. Ordered: - Chicken mozzarella (hot), cheese was melted just right. - Chicken cabbage salad, hardy and generous amount of chicken. Very fresh. Balanced ginger dressing. - vegan flax muffin, a little smaller but very moist

Pretty scantly dressed sandwich today at the Winchester location. I only ordered there due to it being "out of stock" at the E Main Street location. The sandwich was all bread with the thinnest of layers of filing. I made a half sandwich out of it. Maybe I should thank them for saving me the calories? I'll not be ordering from this location again.
