The ambiance and service was very nice!! The kung pao shrimp was my favorite, i would recommend:D comes with complimentary soup too

The cold cucumber salad with garlic is so refreshing! Pork and Chinese scallions potstickers are very good! The crispy sweet and sour pork is a very good too! The walnut shrimp is delicious with the shrimp being quite large. The Signature Chinatown Chow Mien is unique bc the noodles are chewy and the sweet peas are crispy. Service is excellent and the place is clean and inviting.

Stick & Wok took over the iShanghai location at Valley Fair. Had the following menu items, in order from what I thought was the best to the one I didn't enjoy so much: Mongolian Wagyu Beef, Honey Walnut Prawns, Crispy Sweet & Sour Pork, Typhoon Shelter Shrimp, Signature Chow Mien, and Wagyu and Truffle Potato need. The Mongolian Wagyu Beef was so good. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The Wagyu beef used for this dish was definitely Wagyu quality. It's marked as spicy but it's mild spicy. The sauce was soy sauce based but not overly salty. The Honey Walnut Prawns had big succulent prawns that were battered and crispy fried on the outside but soft and juicy inside. The sauce was the usual sweet mayo based. The walnuts were glazed with honey. The Crispy Sweet & Sour pork had thinly sliced pork instead of pork chunks. Each piece was lightly battered and fried then covered with the thick amber colored honey sweet & slightly sour sauce. The pork slices were tender. The Typhoon Shelter shrimp had battered them deep fried prawns. It was very generouly covered with fried breadctumbs mixed with crispy fried chopped garlic and red chili. Marked as spicy but it's just a little kick and not fiery spicy. The Signature Chow Mein was just ok. I do like the thick noodles . Could use a little more seasoning. The best part of it was the shrimp; sweet and juicy and nicely seasoned. The Wagyu Truffle Dumpling were pretty big in size. It came with some reddish mayo dipping sauce. The dumpling itself had truffle flavor nd you can taste it. The dumplings had Wagyu meat but couldn't really taste the Wagyu in it The staff were very nice and welcoming. The food came out so quickly; it was not even 5 minutes and the entrees started appearing on the table. They currently have a deal that if you spend over $100 during your visit, you can get another wok entree or dumplings for $1 more. Grets deal. The items we picked were reasonably priced from $17 to $24 per order.

Tried out this restaurant the other day because we actually loved gold hill bistro that used to be in this location. Unfortunately, it didn't meet the mark.. Stick & wok kept almost all the same decor as gold hill bistro (elegant and warm), but all of their posters & graphics indicated a different vibe (bold & trendy). Was a little weird. Anyway, the posters did draw my eye to the wagyu cheese potstickers, because that sounded amazing, so we ordered that, cucumber with garlic, Mongolian beef, and also chow mein noodle. First of all, I was really let down by the Wagyu cheese potstickers. The Wagyu just tasted like regular ground beef, and I think I was expecting some sort of cheese pull type situation, but instead it was more a cheesy taste.. so it ended up just tasting like a hamburger wrapped in a potsticker skin. Also, not all of the potstickers skins were cooked through.. lastly, it was served with thousand island sauce! It was just weird, not innovative. The cucumber with garlic had no garlic.. and was sweet and vinegary. Again, not what I had wanted or envisioned when I ordered the dish. The chow mein was thick and al dente, not much chewiness. Not much wok flavor, sort of bland. Chicken was tender. The Mongolian beef is good, probably my favorite dish. Very strong flavors. All in all, sort of a bland good.. nothing memorable. Service was fine, nothing to remark on. Wouldn't come back.

Wandered into this at the top floor of the valley hair mall and was pleasantly surprised. We got the jumbo shrimp with fried garlic and the soft tofu in crab roe and both were outstanding! Unusual and expertly prepared dishes. Served hot within 3 minutes of ordering. Friendly staff, clean, really a high quality place despite the fast food connotation name. Will definitely be back!

Pretty surprised at how good this place was! Stopped by on a Thursday night late dinner and was seated immediately. We got the wagyu fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and the wagyu cheese potstickers. All yummy!!

This new spot for Chinese fusion cuisine recently opened up and took over where Goldhill Bistro used to be. Looking for a quick bite for dinner to eat, we decided to give it a try tonight. Their menu was very interesting and incorporated a lot of wagyu and crab roe based dishes. First of all, I would like to highlight the service here, which was great. Melody was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. My biggest gripe these days is how service in general at many places has gone downhill yet the expectation for tip has either been the same or have increased. Nowadays, most places just leave water at the table for us to serve ourselves, if that. Melody not only refilled our water cups as we ate to make sure we always had some but also helped packed our leftovers for us (also rare to happen these days). We were also given complementary hot and sour soup before our meal which was not only a nice touch but was also pretty tasty. What we ordered: -Wagyu and truffle fried rice (4/5): this dish was light and not overly oily compared to other Chinese restaurants, which I appreciated. The flavor was good but the wagyu and truffle flavor was pretty mild, so it didn't really stand out as much as I would've expected. I would ask for some chili oil to add some spice to the dish. -Braised soy duck (4/5): flavor was great and well balanced, however the duck was a bit on the drier side. I tend to prefer my duck to be more tender and moist. -Wagyu potstickers (4.5/5): these were really good and you can definitely taste the wagyu. However, the sauce that came with it (a thousand island aioli sauce?) did not pair well and took away from the wagyu flavor. Instead I decided to use the sauce from braised duck dish as a dipping sauce for it which worked perfectly. Overall, I had a great experience and appreciated the efforts to try and have a creative spin on traditional Chinese cuisine.

Had a nice experience at this new restaurant that took over Goldhill Bistro in Valley Fair! Ordered the wagyu and truffle potstickers, wagyu and truffle fried rice, and soy braised duck. My partner and I also received a complimentary hot and sour soup! Definitely a fun fusion experience with wagyu and truffle flavors! The potstickers were an interesting black color which I imagine is some sort of black truffle glaze. The flavor is subtle, but not overly subtle where you feel like you got tricked into buying it. It was served with something like a thousand islands sauce, which wasn't terrible, but very unexpected. We ended up using the sauce from the duck for them and it worked out perfectly for us. The fried rice was really good! Again a subtle truffle flavor, but not one you're searching deep for. I'd definitely order this dish again! The soy duck was also good. Fairly moist and tender. A solid dish, but I'm definitely curious about other options for the next time. Overall great experience! Pricing is pretty fair and approachable. Would try again and try other dishes!

I was warmly greeted by staff upon entry. Then the food came out piping hot and really quick from the kitchen. I ordered two shrimp dishes--crispy garlic shrimp and honey walnut shrimp. Both are absolutely delicious. The shrimps were plump and the portions generous. There was even an appropriate amount of walnut. I also ordered their wagyu beef truffle fried rice. That was amazing with a unique blend of flavors from the wok-hey and truffle. I was expecting to pay $28 for this dish but it was under $20. Good food good value. I wish this new establishment from 7/25 every bit of success.
