Petiscos "Downtown" in San Jose is an great restaurant spotlighting Portuguese small plates. The food is served in a unique style, and the staff are very friendly. Each of the items were extremely delicious. Special mentions are the sausage, the octopus, the scallops, and the sardine. The food is very good, and the desserts are to die for!

We enjoyed every single dish.
We shared food like family style, which makes the experience much cooler 😎 (you get to taste plenty of stuff).
We had mussels 🐚, 🦆duck rice, 🐙 octopus, some bread, and a francesinha (sort of a big sandwich with steak, sausage, pork, cheese and a heavy gravy).
Wine house is not bad!
And the price was pretty good, it's was like 130 bucks for me and my wife, but there was easily food for 3 people.

Cocktails were really good. Cheese bread was interesting but thought it was a bit dry. Would have liked a dip with it. Shrimp fritters were cheesy fried shrimp.

Ordered the asparagus rice, cod a bras. It lacked flavour but texture was good. Needed more seasoning.

We had dinner here and it was awesome! The food was very tasty and the service was great! Our server, forgot his name, suggested a couple dishes and what he suggested hit the spot! If you want great Portuguese food, definitely come to Petiscos!
