I've dined at Molti Amici twice, drawn by their handmade pastas and wood-fired pizzas. On my first visit, I had the Mushroom Bolognese Rigate, and while it was decent, the pasta wasn't al dente, leaving me slightly disappointed. Watching other guests enjoy their pizzas, I knew I had to try one on my next visit.

The second time, I went with friends and we started with the house-made focaccia, which was simply divine. If you're a carb lover like me, this is a must-have starter. The focaccia was more like half a boule of sourdough bread, served with delicious butter adorned with herbs and edible flowers. We also had the Chicory salad, which was excellent.

We then shared two pizzas: the Margherita and the Basil Pesto. Both were delicious. The Margherita had a light and fresh flavor with a puffy, chewy crust that was exceptional. The Basil Pesto, a green pizza with Fresno chili, added a delightful kick. These pizzas are perfect if you enjoy a thick, chewy crust with a thinner body.

We also shared the summer squash lasagna, which was beautifully presented in a deconstructed style with large baked Parmesan pieces adorning the layers of pasta. We finished off with the polenta cake served with pears and crème fraîche. It was divine!

I highly recommend the pizzas, salads, desserts, and the lasagna. However, I would skip the Mushroom Rigate. Molti Amici is a fun, lively place with excellent pizza and a great atmosphere. 🍕👍🏼

Delicious dishes to try. We started with Carpaccio, which turned out to be a wonderful blending of flavors. Then, of course, the Raviolo al' Uovo was a unique and lovely dish to try. The Tiramisu was exceptional 👌.

Had a wonderful dinner at Molti Amici early Sunday evening. The storefront doesn’t look like much out front, especially when it’s closed, but it’s quite large inside and beautifully designed and decorated. The energy is really upbeat, fun, and cool. Servers were warm and seemed genuinely excited to share what the restaurant had to offer. We had the focaccia, raviolo, and bucatini amatriciana; we really loved the raviolo and the focaccia was beautifully textured and freshly baked. The bucatini, like the raviolo, was perfectly cooked pasta-wise but the sauce was quite heavily fortified with butter which wasn’t our favorite style- we normally like amatriciana because the tomato gives a freshness to the meat and cheese.

All in all it was a really nice evening and we look forward to coming back!

I saw Molti Amici on Chef David Kinch’s feed so I bookmarked it and planned to check it out next time I was up north.  After Thanksgiving in Santa Rosa, I had a chance to stop by Healdsburg to try Molti Amici.  It was relatively quiet on the patio for lunch on Friday.  Later on my mom and dad dropped by and the host kindly brought them back to my table and made them feel welcome.

I saw an active pizza station with a wood fire oven and tossing dough, which topping it with a ton of fresh Parmesan reggiano.  I ordered the Margherita, which was simple but flavorful and perfectly baked.  Very much on par with David Kinch’s Mentone in Aptos.  Unfortunately they don’t serve any pastas during lunch time so I tried the Chicories salad which included dense cubes of pancetta and Ricotta.  It was good but not mind blowing like the Caesar salad at Mentone.  The Mezcal cocktail I got was tasty and well-mixed.

The outdoor patio is festive with its bocce ball and picnic tables.  My parents enjoyed their brief experience enough that they celebrated my dad’s birthday with more family at Molti Amici.  I heard everyone enjoyed the experience.  I hope to go back again soon too.

Our girls day was topped off by this fantastic meal! Starting with the warm bread that was perfectly served with butter and edible flowers.  The wood -fired pizza was cooked to perfection and scrumptious, and the large egg raviolo was unique, cheesy and a true treat! We shared the tiramasu for dessert - yummy! Service was attentive, but not intrusive. We ate on the patio on a cool evening , but the heaters kept us plenty warm. We'll be back!
