My high rating is due to the front desk staff. Location was perfect for me because of work. It's not a typical environment for Aloft. It's in between busy areas and it can be loud. They provide ear plugs for those sensitive to noise. Parking is confusing but Raiz (I think who was the front desk) explained the parking situation well. The room is on the small size, but enough room for what we needed. You can tell it was an older building, but as someone who cares about the environment can appreciate them utilizing the space. Cleanliness could be better. But it's not disgusting. I saw one tiny spider web. It was all good. AC was off and on, as someone who sweat a lot it didn't bother me much. I loved the shower so much, take a cold one and I was fine all night. Bed was nice! My family unexpectedly tagged a long and the 3 of us fit comfortably on their king size bed. I am not small so it was surprising to me. I didn't sleep well due to my health issues but each time I did lie down, I was comfortable and able to catch some . Raiz and Jenny (front desk at checkout) were both a delight! They really make you feel like a human. In this day and age, it's rare to find that type of customer service. Keep these genuine people.

To start, the staff I interacted with were all great. Very friendly, very welcoming, and very caring. This poor review does not reflect their work since I could tell they do care. Also the beds were nice and the room was very clean. Outside of these aspects, the experience staying here was pretty bad if I'm honest. It was probably the noisiest hotel room I've experienced in recent memory. The noise came from all sides. The door to the hallway didn't isolate sound so I heard the ice machine, the elevator, and every conversation. The window to the outside had basically no seal at all so it sounded as if the window was open to the street even when it was closed. Every truck, motorcycle, and bus sounded feet from the bed. In addition, the hotel is located by the Caltrain stop, and every train blows its horn when arriving which is clearly audible even at 6:30 AM. The fact that the staff provide earplugs in the room means this is a known thing, but instead of earplugs the owners should invest in new windows that actually seal among other structural improvements. The parking is also a shared public lot where the hotel gives guests parking passes to avoid getting towed. When I arrived in the evening, there was a street festival going on so every spot was full. I had to follow someone to their car to park. I would suggest adding dedicated spots just for hotel guests at least on nights where there is an event. There are several other Marriott properties in the area that I've stayed in that are much better taken care of and much more pleasant. I would recommend choosing them and avoiding this one.

I really enjoyed our stay at Aloft Sunnyvale. It's in downtown Sunnyvale which is exactly where we needed to be. Either there was no one else staying in the rooms next to ours or you really can't hear the other people because I didn't hear the neighbors. The rooms are small, but I also didn't choose one of the large rooms so their rooms are priced accordingly. Housekeeping came by everyday to clean and change the towels, which I really appreciated. All the employees were so courteous when we ran into them. Parking was included which I found to be a rarity when I was searching for hotels in the area.

This review will seem a little harsh. I've had some time to sit and think about it and as a true Yelper we have to review accordingly. This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. 2 stars for the front desk. They were friendly and courteous. Onto the ugly. The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything. And by everything I meant as minute as a cough, a sneeze. So when my next door neighbors decided to get a little..."rowdy", it was a very a very uncomfortable experience. I failed to bring my earbuds with me, otherwise I would have blasted music in my ears until it was done. All I could really do is turn on the tv at a very high volume and hope that my other next door neighbors didn't get pissed off. The room itself is extremely small. I've stayed numerous times at other Alofts (my favorite one is the Newark one), and I was extremely disappointed with this one. the bed was uncomfortable, they didn't provide the usual complimentary water. The parking lot itself is pretty small too. I'll be doing some more research to find a suitable hotel the next time I need to stay out there.

Parking situation is horrible... no where to park really quick and bring your luggage.. The staff is great don't get me wrong on that part, they are very kind and sweet, all the way around. They told us as we were checking in that our queen room was being upgraded, and we were excited. But the room didn't look any different than the one we already booked. Room is very small, not a lot of counter space for anything. The gym is nice! They have a nice bar as well. Overall nice stay but THE PARKING is a shared lot with all of the surrounding locations, and the lot is always full in the day time even at night to find a spot of pretty hard, they do give you a pass so you don't get towed at night but still.

first time to this location here in sunnyvale! it was way deep into the city! i got there early to let them know i would be parking there for the day and we would come back later to check in they got me the ground floor which was my preference but the hallways were filled with loud people heading back to their rooms i usually also check with front desk for late checkout, but they were pretty adamant about 12p checkout! first and last time here, i liked other hotels nearby for close proximity to the places we wanted to go!

Apologies no photos- we had a very busy weekend and it was a fast trip. This is for last weekend The good: The check in was easy and employee who checked us in was outstanding. I think his name was Royce? Professional, personable, and very, very good hands. Our room was clean and I am personally a fan of flooring versus carpet in hotel rooms. It just gives me the impression of being cleaner. I really appreciate it having the two complementary bottles of water. Lots of places to charge devices The bed was very comfortable The bathroom was well lit and laid out well This location is right next to downtown Sunnyvale and very convenient. I walked over to target because I forgot some thing. Saturday morning, we walked across to the farmers market and got some fresh fruit before we went out for the day. Lots of restaurants and coffee places Other stuff- The shower. The shower is spacious and I enjoyed the water pressure. The shower door, however, close right or something because water leaks all over the floor We had to go ask for more towels to mop up the water. There was less water the second night because I repositioned the showerhead, but it still got all over the floor We did not notice any noise from other rooms however I also didn't see anyone on our floor. We did, however, hear people in the parking lot although it was quiet after midnight The room is compact, but very efficiently laid out. I mean, we were basically there to sleep shower change and go back out. . The parking lot is a shared parking lot. The sign says three hour limited parking, but you can get a pass from the front desk. We had no problems finding parking however I suspect it may be timing. I'm giving a solid three, 3 1/4 really The shower door that much water out really bothered me. I had to try the floor before I could dry my hair. I'm concerned that noise could be a factor in nice weather I would possibly stay here again.

- AC didn't really work. Room never got less than 72. They sent up maintenance but nothing changed. - Showers are a D-. Complicated to figure out how to use. Once you do, water pressure is weak. - It's loud

This was a nice hotel and the service staff were very courteous and pleasant. The lounge had comfortable seats and we enjoyed the complimentary water and freshly popped popcorn. The room itself was clean and well furnished. The bed was comfortable. We did not like was how the air vent blew directly onto the bed. It would've been nice if the vent could be adjusted. This was the only negative comment. Aside from this, we enjoyed our stay. We liked how parking was included.

We stayed here for a night for a concert and it was conveniently located within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops in the Sunnyvale area. The parking lot has a bunch of "3 hours only" signs but if you are staying at the hotel you get a parking pass that overrides it. The room was nice and the king-sized bed was comfortable. The bathroom was especially nice with high-end finishes. They also have live music on Wednesday nights, happy hour, and their signature WXYZ bar if you want a drink. The room isn't huge and we weren't in the room for a long time but it was a comfortable stay!
