A few Saturdays ago I had my car detailed in town and needed to kill some time. It was mid-morning and I knew I wanted breakfast and more coffee. Metro City was just the right place. Whenever I try a new place I go for a classic choice: corned beef hash & eggs. This is my favorite breakfast meal. MCR&B scored big. It was great and I think it will be my Go-To when I can't make up my mind. My buddy joined me and he ordered the same thing, except his eggs were sunny-side up. Over easy for this guy. Add to that several cups of hot, black coffee and it was a great way to kill time while waiting for my car. I will definitely be back. Now for the pics...

Saw recommendations on this place from yelp and decided to check it out. Came on a rainy day and parked in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Immediately greeted upon entering and the waitress was really nice. The food on the other hand was very disappointing. We ordered onion rings which was really doughy and too thick and not fully cooked. The nachos were ok. The beans that were on it were too sweet for nachos and seemed like it came out of can. My date had the tuna melt and it was really sweet which didn't pair well with the tuna and wasn't appetizing. My cowboys burger was probably the best thing we had and I got fruit instead of fries which was great. The service was definitely a 5 but food was a 2 at best. I'd definitely come back for the service because it was A-1, but I can't say the same for the food.

Solid diner food in a comfortable and modern environment, and a full bar! Because they serve lunch and breakfast all day, you get lots of options for whatever you're in the mood for. I had a chicken salad melt. Mr. M had some Loco Moco. Service was great, and we enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio.

To be honest, I didn't have super high expectations for Metro City's breakfast, as I feel some spots on Murphy Street are hit or miss, but I thought this was good! I ordered one of the eggs benedicts and my boyfriend ordered the country fried steak, and we both enjoyed our plates. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the crispy and flavorful country potatoes on the side. We also loved sitting outside on a summer morning! There aren't a ton of brunch spots in the area but I would make this a casual go-to.

Came here during Father's Day for a late lunch because my dad was craving eggs benedict. We ordered a Salmon Salad and Hash Brown Benedict. In hindsight we really should have checked the reviews. Service was quite slow even though there was hardly anyone there. My dad finally went over to ask a waiter to order but he quickly forgot because he was facetiming his girlfriend. I guess he has his priorities straight? While the food took awhile to come it definitely wasn't the worst part of our experience. The salmon was slightly overcooked, dressing store-bought (I believe), and topped with croutons with not much flavor. I found a fly on my lettuce leaf half way and lost my appetite :( The icing on the cake was the over-cooked and dry eggs benedict. Overall, I would not come here again.

I am new to the region, originally from Boston and Portugal. I was looking for a very good breakfast restaurant that had great food, a friendly environment, with a non-pretentious clientel. If you like all that, you have found your place. Nora, your hostess is the best. She is friendly, attentive with grace and class. I had the Hash Brown Eggs Benedict. It was superb. I even took a "to go order" Belgium Waffles for dinner.

Great place to eat in Sunnyvale. Breakfast served all day. So many options to pick from. Decided to get a patty melt on sour dough and it did not disappoint. Very flavorful and buttery which is excellent. The fries was ok. I enjoyed the patty melt a lot and left stuffed. The service was friendly. Parking is ample in the parking lots in the area. No parking right in front since they closed the street off to cars to make it a permanent outdoor dining area.

Came by on a Sunday 11AM and we were sat immediately. Two of us ordered: -norcal omelette $17 -breakfast toast $16 -class bloody mary $11 -Draft #6 $8 (IPA) Food was good, but definitely took awhile to come out. Spacing for tables is the worst. For some reason, everyone kept going between me and the person behind me so my chair was getting bumped into a ton during the meal... Overall nice spot for drinks, food...some TVs inside Outdoor seating available as well. Parking can be difficult during peak hours, but you can park in the parking garage and walk over.
