I found this place on dayuse.com because my plane landed at 6:30a and my hotel didn't have check in until 3pm, this place was available from 8a-2p for about $75. When I checked in the guy said "well it depends on if we have any availability...you're basically a walk-in". I've never used dayuse.com before but what's the point of listing your hotel on there if you don't really have a room!? There's no other way that I know of to book a room from 8a-2pm, if there is, I'd love to know. It's close to the freeway but not too noisy. You can drive up to your room door, motel style. I needed a refrigerator to store things which ended up being quite big and useful (some hotels have filled the entire refrig with stuff they want you to buy, not this place, it was completely empty) and I needed a nap after the redeye flight and both of those were satisfactory.

I made reservations at this hotel based on the pictures of the pool and Jacuzzi and all the pretty landscaping. The first night we stayed there, we got a really nice room that was facing the pool. It was extremely quiet the entire time we were there, and the bed was super comfortable. Our plans got changed, and we were going to be in the area for one more night, so we went back to the Ramada hoping to get the same room, but unfortunately it was not available so we had to settle for another room which was the equivalent of a Motel 6 where cars were parking right in front of your room with their lights on, and people were coming and going all night long and at one point some crazy looking woman was sitting in her car with the engine running with the headlights on for over two hours and she refused to leave. There was all kinds of noise pretty much all night long and first thing in the morning too with people wheeling their suitcases-up & down stairs, etc., clunk, clunk, clunk.....The hotel itself is pretty good, just don't get a room where they say that you can park your car in front of it because that will for sure be a "Motel 6" type of room and you will not be happy. The hotel offers a pretty good breakfast in the lobby really early in the morning at 6 AM and it only goes until 9 AM, but they have pretty good things to choose from like sausage and scrambled eggs and bagels for no extra charge. The front desk personnel were very unfriendly and never even gave us half a smile the entire time during each of our stays. I could not understand this. They really need to show their appreciation for their customers and be a little bit nicer to people who are paying top dollar to stay there.

As always this Sunnyvale location is our place to stay when traveling in the Bay Area. There are no disturbances, the clientele are decent people, the cafeteria has a good selection at breakfast, the attached Chinese restaurant has excellent, authentic food and the parking is plentiful. The shower runs hot and has very good pressure as well on the weekends-- not sure how the showers work on weekday mornings though.

I stayed here for 9 nights to be near my dad who was in the hospital for major surgery. My first impression was that it wasn't the nicest place I've stayed at. There were some concerns that popped out immediately when I first entered the room. However after a couple days, I began to realize that it's really not as bad as I thought. It's a decent motel that has it's redeemable qualities. The main reason I rated it so low are due to a few things that really could've improved my stay and would've pushed them into 3 stars. Still, let's break it down. LOCATION- This is absolutely a pro. It's conveniently located off the Lawrence Expressway exit on 101. Just hop off the exit, swing around to a frontage road, and it's up about a quarter mile just past a 7-Eleven (convenience) and also a Pho restaurant. If you head another half mile up that road, you'll find a Walmart Neighborhood Market, Starbucks, Panda Express, In and Out, an AMC Theater and more. Beyond that, Great America and Levi Stadium. So this is a good option if you plan on visiting Great America for multiple days, staying in town for a Niner game, or maybe you have a mistress/mister in Sunnyvale, you're in town for a tech convention, and you don't want to have to wander too far for KY and Orange Chicken. Whatever you want. I'm kidding. THE ROOM- The dresser had a fair amount of storage and included a mini fridge. The TV was one of those things that I mentioned that really could've bumped my experience up. Watching the TV made you feel as if you had double vision. Whenever the camera would cut to a different scene, there would still be a ghost image of the last scene that would linger for 1-2 seconds before disappearing and so for scenes with rapid cuts, we would sometimes be staring at 3 overlapping images at once. And this is how we watched television for 10 days. Not fun. I wasn't that crazy about the floor to ceiling windows for the front of the room. We kept the curtains closed for the most part, but if they were open, I couldn't help but feel like we were in a terrarium. The small desk had a lamp that would flicker constantly if you slightly nudged the desk. There was plenty of places to plug in your tech and chargers. Outlets on both sides of the dresser, both lamps, and above and below the bathroom counter. Bathroom- The bathroom sink had plenty of counter space. The sink had some drainage issues. In the corner was a small coffee machine with some tea and coffee. I would've loved to enjoy some coffee in the room, but there was no brewing cup or urn, so that was pointless. On the wall, there is short rack with some hangers, an iron with ironing board, Dove lotion dispenser, and a hair dryer. The shower had decent water pressure, a grip mat, Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers mounted on the wall, and a retractable clothes line. AMENTITIES- *Pool- Reasonably sized pool ranging from 3.5ft to 8.5ft located in the enter of the motel surrounded by nicely kept lawns, sidewalk paths, shrubs and palm trees. Hot tub was out of order. *Fitness Center- Small gym in a converted King Room with a treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical, cable machine, yoga ball, a couple medicine balls, and a resistance band. *Complimentary Breakfast- I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that there were scrambled eggs, country style potatoes, sausages, and a pancake machine available. Breakfast was served 6am - 9am on weekdays and 7am - 10am on weekends. There were definitely some busy times during breakfast, but it's a good thing that there are plenty of places to sit. There were several tables in the breakfast room, a few out in the lobby, spaces at the counter that looks like it was a former bar, and some tables out in the courtyard with umbrellas. There seemed to only be one person in charge of replenishing the food and she was really struggling to keep up with the crowd. As soon as she would bring out one item, it was gone in a few seconds. Would be nice to see them assign at least one more person to help. *Sifu Wong Kitchen- I did not have a chance to visit, but it's cool that there is a Cantonese restaurant in the lobby that's open for lunch and dinner. *Laundry Room- Two coin-op washing machines and two dryers. $2 per wash load, but the dryers are free. Dryer sheets, detergent, and bleach in a dispenser for $1 each (quarters). My room was conveniently located near the laundry room, but fair warning, there is a very strong smell of gas coming from that corner of the complex. *EV Charging Stations- 'nuff said. In summary, with the exception of those annoyances, it's modest place to stay if you're not looking for anything particularly fancy. I thought it was respectably clean in the room and the staff was friendly and helpful. It does need some updates and hopefully they fix the tv and lights, but I wouldn't mind staying here again in the future if I'm looking to save a little money.

Room was clean, as long as you don't look at the multiple huge stains on the carpet. Room was on the parking lot side and was very noisy. Cars, people, stomping and slamming from your neighboring rooms. Would recommend getting a room on the pool side. I was woken up at 6:30am every morning. The pool was nice. The staff was friendly. And the breakfast was pretty impressive including eggs and sausage. (Fake eggs but beggars can't be choosers)

I was not impressed with my visit at this Ramada Inn. The best that the Asian manager Jeffry Chang at 4082454182 and Farid Sherzai General Manager Ramada Silicon Valley 1217 Wildwood Ave. Sunnyvale, Ca 94089 408-245-5330 was to move from Room 185 to Room 178 just 2 days before I left for 7 day stay and ONE FUTURE DAY STAY free at this property. WOULD ANYBODY WANT TO STAY HERE AGAIN AFTER WHAT I EXPERIENCED? Photos say it all. From Bed bugs, DOVE Cucumber alleged products in bottles where the products smells other then Cucumber (or probably expired smell), broken sheets, bullet in a window, outdated room and poor condition laundry facility over 40 yrs machines not working well, broken jacuzzi. The lobby may look attractive with a piano in the lobby but don't be mislead.

Made a Dayuse reservation for a 4pm-11pm slot (earlier the same day), but the front desk refused to honor it, claiming that there were no rooms available (Nonsense! The parking lot was 90% EMPTY at 4pm!!!), then proceeded to read some verbiage right off the computer screen that allegedly stated "Dayuse reservations are not guaranteed". What a waste of time (but thankfully not my money, which they will NEVER, ever have the opportunity to see again!).

This was not the hotel I had hoped for. I was looking for a cheap place to stay the night before a flight, and while it was cheap, I feel like I paid more than the room was worth. All of the rooms open to the outside, and we were on the first floor, so the door to our room was ground level, which made me feel unsafe. Also all of the cars park right up to and facing the doors, so whenever some locked their car, the headlights shone through the window of the room and you could hear the car lock sound and the people talking outside. The floor had stains and the shower had yellow mildew around the white tiles. The beds seemed free of bed bugs, and the sheets appeared clean but they were very scratchy and not soft at all. There was a leaky pipe that was annoying as I tried to sleep, and the walls were very thin. I also kept catching a whiff of like a buttered popcorn smell, which was probably just grease? It seemed to be coming from the pillow or comforter but I'm not sure. Also, a sign said that housekeeping services only occur every three days. The staff was very nice however. This place was fine for one night since we left very early the next day for our flight, but I would not stay here again.
