One of my favorite parts of traveling is discovering new food, and this restaurant made the entire trip so worth it. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious—seriously, not a single miss. If you’re into espresso and a little buzz, do not skip the Carajillo. It’s the perfect balance of rich coffee and smooth alcohol, and I’m still thinking about it.

The salmon? Just wow. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor—it’s a must-try. I shared some pictures of what I ordered, but honestly, even those don’t do the flavors justice.

This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, and it’s one I’ll be recommending to anyone who loves good food. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation ahead of time—it’s a spot you won’t want to miss!

Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months.  We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun.  We really love Sweet Basil.  We have been coming here for almost 20 years and it just keeps getting better.  Ask for the back room overlooking the creek and if in winter you may be lucky enough to see the ice sculptures.  Reservations are a MUST and hard to come by.
This is the best restaurant in the Vail valley for openers we had the French onion lasagna and added the black truffles for a small up charge we also had the whipped feta which is an absolute must have it comes in a large softball size baked shell that's covered in honey and salt and lavender and inside is the whipped feta cheese with ginger hibiscus honey lime and other seasonings that are just fantastic for dinner we had the lump crab pasta taglioni which was very good and we had the special mushroom pasta with truffles the desserts here are excellent we had the sticky toffee pudding cake and the hazelnut mocha dessert both were excellent they have a wide range of cocktails.  Our fav was the Oaxacan Winter which is a light martini style drink sweet but not too sweet with hints of pineapple.  One of the best meals you will have anywhere and certainly the BEST place to eat in VAIL.  #1 service, food and room.  Dress is casual but there were a lot of folks dressed up as well.  Be sure to get a reservation at least 29 days in advance.  You can eat at the bar but the bartenders keep their own waitlist so it is tough to get a chair. I wish Sweet Basil was in my city in New York! I would go every week to dine here. I came for my birthday dinner with my husband and the experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, staff and food were all exceptional. We had the French onion lasagna for an appetizer and we almost ordered it again for dessert. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the cocktail. I highly recommend dining here.

Over-all Sweat Basil was pretty good.  I've been to several Michelin restaurants before and this one was good.  I think the desserts were a bit on the sweat side but over-all pretty good.

We came here for our anniversary dinner. Our server was amazing, and the drinks were delicious. The whipped feta as an appetizer is a must.You must order the sticky toffee pudding cake as a dessert. It changed our lives! Would love to come back and try more of the menu.
