I have been visiting this location for many years. Most of the time they are OK, but there have been some not so good ones too. My most recent was one in a very bothersome way. I wanted to try the new supreme meat sandwich. This is suppose to have ham, pepperoni, salami, and capicola. Instead, I was told that ham, turkey, and salami were the only allowed meats. I filed an online feedback form. I was never contacted by corporate or the franchisee. I called the shop and they refused to put me in touch with the franchisee. In addition, I mailed a letter to corporate and never received an answer. I also noted a sign that said only the sandwiches listed on it could be gotten with Subway coupons. I do not believe that this is a corporate policy. This is quite simply not the way a Subway should be.

This may be the most popular Subway in downtown. Today I decided to try their special - ultimate meatball marinara. It was excellent. Foot long, garlic butter, lots of mozzarella and parmesan cheese and the meatballs. All these are toasted. If you are not in a diet you need to try this. It was rich and good.

I'm not sure why this location has such bad reviews. I visit regularly and I'm always greeted with a warm welcome by the staff, service is always prompt, even during lunch rush hour, and my order is always correct. The ingredients are fresh and the restaurant is always very clean. When I'm not in the mood for any of the bland, overpriced options in downtown Hartford, Subway is definitely a faithful option. I know I'll be satisfied and full.

Quite possibly the WORST customer service I've ever received. Came in yesterday around 6pm or so for a quick dinner with the family before a show. When we walked in, we noticed that half of the restaurant was closed. When I asked for the reason, the lady behind the counter said, "we usually don't get customers during this time." And I asked if they are closing soon, and she said no. HUH?!!?? While waiting for our sandwiches, a female customer asked the staff for the key to the ladies and was promptly replied with, "I don't know where the key to the ladies is. You have to go to the men's room instead." Wow. I was honestly too shocked by her attitude and felt terribly bad for the female customer who looked confused and awkward as she made her way to the men's room. Once our subs were made, we asked for cups of water and was rejected. The same female staff said they ran out of cups for water. We then asked if we could use soda cups instead, and she said she can't give them to us because she will get into trouble for inventory. We even said that we are willing to pay for the cups, but were still rejected. Mind you, we are a group of 4 people and had 2 footlongs and a 6-inch sub and this is the kind of attitude we get? I can't even express how appalled I was at the attitude of the customer service here. It's like our presence is not welcome here at all. And there's like nobody else around, except for the female customer as mentioned earlier. Well, the staff definitely gets her wish. We are never ever coming here again. Stay away guys, your patronage is not welcome in this place.

Doesnt have a full menu, does not participate in deals they have on TV, no apples, BUT the staff was so rude, i will never return. Im sorry I asked for a topping on my sandwich...thats why Im here...I could live with the eye rolls and sighing. I always say please, and Im really laid back. Yeah, never which is sad. I love subways usually, and its close to my work. BUT there are MANY other sandwich shops in the area...Im out

Today's service was horrible. Unorganized, poor customer service and unapologetic. I came in to purchase my regular items which were not available. I was told to come back later after lunch time and they still were not available.

This Subway really is A-OK. I have a hard time giving it more than three stars, because I'm really not a fan of fast food in general (and make no mistake, subway is still fast food). However, this location is well-lit and clean, there are plenty of tables to sit at, and the workers keep the line moving. If you want a quick and cheap sandwich where you know exactly what to expect on the menu (hey, i understand), then don't hesitate to go to this Subway location.

If you work or live downtown, you damn well know there aren't many late-night options. It's a standard Subway, perfectly average and ordinary experience. There are a few dining tables inside as well as a window-counter and 2 outdoor tables. As a note, unlike other Subway's, there is typically no fresh fruit here to choose as a side.

This location over charges you and refuses to honor their advertised pricing. They give you next to nothing for meat on the sandwiches and by far are the worst value for sandwiches.
