When you don't know what you want but all the meals are accessible, go to Effies! I ordered brunch & dinner, don't judge please. Salmon Omelet with spaghetti on the side. Washed down with a mimosa flight. No regers!

Food is tremendously delicious! Service is always great & done with a smile! The new decor is beautiful. Outdoor dining with awning/umbrellas is awesome! *Saturday & Sunday breakfast is usually quite busy* The owner Johnny P. has done a phenomenal job, and his mother, for whom the restaurant is named, makes fabulous pies! Effie's is SO good. It is sincerely one of the best breakfast spots you can find in West Hartford! My partner and I went this weekend and our server was so sweet. Service is always a hit here. We ordered one of their combos and it came with so much food. Their pancakes are THICK. It was a perfect way to start the day. Don't forget to order their hot chocolate too!

Delicious breakfast! It was my first time here and I ordered the big breakfast and subbed regular bacon and sausage for turkey. I also ordered the pancakes. They were plain however the consistency was very fluffy squishy, and I almost thought they were mochi pancakes! I really enjoyed everything! The breakfast potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend having breakfast here!

This was a very nice experience. Made a reservation for 2:15 and was promptly seated! Lots of open spaces honestly could've walked right in. We went on Mother's Day and it was a super nice day so got t sit outside away from the noise inside which was nice. Our order was taken quickly and I got the Effie's kielbasa omelette and it was very tasty. For $16 it was a steal and super tasty with the caramelized onions. The idea pie was also so good. It was rich and you could really taste everything was made to order. Would go again love their breakfast/brunch options!

My experience at Effie's yesterday was just ok. The waitress we had didn't seem to be in a great mood. The omelet and scramble plates we had were just ok... I had to ask for the sausage patty I'd ordered. Our meals were nothing special but it's always nice to have someone else make breakfast, so we did still e joy ourselves. My sister in law tells me their pancake is out of this world, so maybe we ordered the wrong thing? Plus the bill was $40 (before tip) for two nothing special (not Benedict, or hash, etc) breakfasts. It was not all bad though. I appreciated so much the "Diner feel" of this place. The menu offered so many different and delicious sounding entrees for all different meal times. I appreciated that breakfast IS available all day, every day. This restaurant has such good reviews, including from my West Hartford family. I'll bet the outside eating area is a super cute area and atmosphere to eat. I will definitely give Effie's another try & think you should not let my review keep you from trying it. Just maybe skip the traditional egg breakfasts and go right for the pancakes or something else.

Effie's is a quick walk from my house so it's one of my regular spots. Service is always quick and friendly! The space is classic and cozy. It's not super exciting but my go to is always the chicken Caesar salad. Find me a place with better grilled chicken, I dare you!

I went here this past weekend and loved it. They have an outdoor patio area that allows dogs. I brought my dog here and the staff was super friendly. I ordered a salad with salmon on it as well as the spanakopita. They were both delicious. We will be back again.
