Nice views. Good location. Small shop and boutique. Free to visit. A relatively modern structure that isn't very large and whilst it was quiet when we visited, I should imagine that on busy days it would be quite congested.

Definitely a must visit if in central park. It is free to visit to see the great views and take pictures. Very beautiful in the fall with all the trees and leaves in different colors. The castle has a small gift shop at the end. Only bad side is no nearby bathrooms but everything is else great.

The castle is quite pretty, especially when viewed from the shore of Turtle Pond. However, a visit inside isn't necessarily worth it. The castle itself isn't very large or tall, so the view from the top is not very different from the ground. Also, the main portion of the castle is dominated by the gift shop. I would recommend taking a few pictures from the outside and continuing your visit around the park.
