I use to go here all the time but one day I went in with my sister-in-law law and the owners son was so rude it was my last visit I will never spend another penny in this store, now if the son leaves maybe I'll come back .. in second thought I'll never go there again. Hands down the best cheesesteak spot in Delaware. Make sure to bring cash, they don't take credit or debit cards, but its sooooo worth it. Small place but friendly service and GREAT food. My kinda place.

The best cheesesteaks in northern delaware! I get off late most nights and have to rush and call them within the last 30 mins of closing. They're always courteous, always friendly, and always efficient. I've never had a complaint about any of their food; although the cheesesteak is the don dada. I've been getting cheesesteaks here for about 10 years and the work ethic and humanity that the family who works in there shows is one of the factors that keeps me coming back. It is in one of the rougher areas in wilmington so for some that could be a turn-off, but it's well worth it. Lastly, I recommend calling ahead and then coming to pick up, it can get very crowded very quick. Even last night at 930 when I felt bad about being the last customer, three orders came in after mine. So just be mindful, everyone loves G&Ps and its reflected in the wait time!

About as clean a food place as you'll see on the Northside. The customer service was fairly fast and the cheesesteak was delicious. I wish they put more onions and less ketchup on it, but it was still very good. It is also very cheap, less than $6 for a small cheesesteak w/ fried onions. My only complaint is that they don't have anywhere to sit down inside, but I still enjoyed my visit to G & P enormously.

OK. The first thing you need to know is that in the Wilmington City Limits, G&P is KING when it comes to cheesesteaks. Ask around. The best sub for the best prices. I believe large subs to this day are STILL only $6.25. The 2nd thing you need to know is that because it is cheaper then most places (and it's good), it is ALWAYS packed. There's never NOT been a time where I didn't go to pick up my order (cause you pretty much HAVE to call in or you'll be there for about a half-hour start to finish) and there's ben 6-20 people there. The 3rd thing you must know is that it IS in the "hood". So the people there will be a bit "hood". Some will be loud, some will be obnoxious, most will be impatient. George, his parents, Boo Boo, and the staff there have seen and dealt with it all, so I don't feel bad for them. If you can get through these things, then G&P will prove me right.

Where else can u go and get a delicious small cheesesteak, a bag of chips and a soda for 8bucks?! G&P is a neighborhood staple and I dread the day they decide to close the doors! Right now my twist is those cookies they bake fresh everyday! Them sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies are LIFE! The subs are full of flavor and meat, the cheesesteaks are so good! Soft bread, fresh veggies! Even tho some may consider this the hood, the people on the block, the long wait if u don't call in your order and the parking on any day can be enough to make the unwise go somewhere else! But for those in the know! We wait, we call those orders in and park in the old rent a center parking lot to pick up our food! 5 stars just from my first line alone!! Where else u gonna go get a good cheesesteak, chips and soda for 8 bucks?! Leave answers below please! Lol

First off I would like to say I've had some real good food here before.... with that being said the people that work here do have to deal with all kinds of disrespectful nasty people but if I go here with a nice attitude I expect this in return... to put it simple I'm not going back here ....I didn't buy anything due to the way they acted today.....with no one in the store (like I was a friendly ghost) so I politely went up the street to the to the gas station that serves food () and actually got a good steak and fries with a can soda for 7.50$ But if your from out of town and you want to be completely ignored while your trying to spend your hard earned money and you would like to spend a decent amount of your day in a store where they don't care if you come back for the sub par food because they have their regulars... by all means BE MY GUESS... this money will go elsewhere () probably.
