This Homewood Suites was our first destination that I could rest and stay for a couple of days. On the way to Delaware, I got on the Hilton app and asked if they could upgrade me. Someone answered and said that they could. When I arrived later that day, Jeannette checked me in and gave me a great room on a higher floor with a great view of the Christina River. Jeannette later told me that she had replied to my text. Our room was perfect. It had everything that we requested starting with a king bed. The room had a small kitchen area. There was plenty of desk space and a small sofa with a computer desk. The bathroom was adequate. The view from the room was great. It was nice that we could see a high school rowing race one morning from our room. Breakfast is served downstairs. They had a pretty good offering of breakfast items. They had the usual items like scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. One of the mornings they served a smoked chicken for smoked chicken burritos. It was different and good. Along with these breakfast items, they also had coffee and juices. The gym is located on the first floor. They had sanitizing wipes to clean the machines before and after using the machines. A large screen tv was there for watching. Ellipticals and treadmills are available for you to use. It was enough for a good workout. The Homewood was a good hotel for me. Both my wife and I liked it. If in this area again, we would stay here again.

I had high expectations for the Hilton brand, but my stay at the Homewood Suites was beyond disappointing. I purposely booked this location for the kitchen and all the amenities were lacking. I had to request for knives, forks, spoons, and bowls. It felt like the utensils had been used and we were just left with whatever the previous customers did not use. Upon entering the room, the furnitures were stained, the counters had crumbs and residue streaks. There were tissues under the bed, bedsheets were unkempt and sloppy, the bathroom plug was loose and did not stay open for drainage. When requesting room service to just refill all the toiletries and towels, the service maids were giving attitude until tips were given. When returning to the hotel after 6pm, the parking lot was completely full and I had to park at the Planet fitness parking even though there was a charge for parking. The only star I am giving is to the service at the front desk. At least they were friendly.

I did not take pictures but this place is very nice. This is a newer Homewood Suites and it's on the lakefront area. You will find plenty of restaurants nearby to where you could walk. There isn't much to do in the town but there is a movie theater and children's museum near by. The staff was great and the morning breakfast crew was a hoot. If you want a nice place to stay and want to branch off from the Philly area this place is only 30 mins away from the airport.

Clean, friendly staff, with big TV and a good sized kitchen including microwave, stovetop and fridge. The bed was hard. The pillows are dense. There was a dead bug in the bathroom. The shower is slippery and the ceiling fan is very difficult to operate.

Stopped here on way to NC and very happy we did. It is in a completely renovated area consisting of a boardwalk along the riverfront, numerous other hotels, restaurants, beer gardens, breweries and ballfield. The staff was helpful, rooms clean and comfy and the daily breakfast was a bonus. Enjoy!

Kevin in the breakfast area is fantastic. He's incredibly pleasant, courteous, and goes above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service.

A five star rating would be for the hotel, the staff and overall comfort. Wonderful stay. Large spacious room, full size refrigerator, two burners, and comfy beds! Great location. Free parking. The front desk was attentive and friendly. Free breakfast was served until 1000. Went down at 0900 and there were no forks or knives. Only soup spoons! The dishes and bowls were dirty with black specks. Apples were soft as if they were frozen or refrigerated too long. The sausage, well it was hard as cardboard. Not one piece was edible trust me I searched. Staff was MIA you could hear voices but they were too busy chatting to mind the food area and guests. Major lack of attention to detail. Rates are high, they can do much better.

My stay at Homewood Suites downtown Wilmington Delaware was less than satisfactory. 1. I paid for a view that I didn't get. I was offer the riverside view. It sounded great, however my room was located on the 3rd floor. When I open my curtains all I got was a bunch of trees, no view of the river. I complained to the desk clerk. He was unable to move me to a higher floor. I was charged for a view I didn't get. 2. I did not get a good night sleep due to worned out cheap pillows. I toss and turned both nights and I was left with a stiff neck. I woke up feeling very grumpy and unrested. 3. There was no room service. I returned to my room. The bed was not refresh and the towels were not remove from the bathroom floor. No towel replacement / refresh. On the bright side, the room has a nice layout, love the floors. (I really don't like carpet so this was a good thing)

A lovely hotel situated right on Wilmington's Riverwalk. Everything inside is new and modern. The rooms were clean with new appliances, the common areas were well-kept. We especially liked sitting out on the patio and reading or people-watching. Breakfast was grab n' go, and had a pretty decent variety for a basic breakfast. Our last day we checked out their bikes and rode along the Riverwalk. The only small thing I will note is the waterside room we had didn't have the easiest nor clearest view of the river. The shade needed to be almost all the way up to see everything. Nonetheless it was a bright and beautiful view. I could have stayed a few extra days! Alas, we were only in town for a night. I am excited to come back one day. It was a pleasant experience overall. The staff were friendly and it is a nice hotel.

Definitely a newer build with clean rooms and a wonderful location. You can get anywhere fun in 15 min by walk or drive. Cool design with large windows you can look out on. Regardless, the room stays pretty cool, which I love. People at the front desk are always helpful and I like their energy. They are charismatic and on-top of the game. I love the manager because she is attentive to every visitor and seems happy. Give this lady an award :-) The gym is a perfect size for right now, which is comparable for newer Hilton builds. After staying there 3+ times, there was only one time where I thought the room wasn't fully cleaned, but that was due to a small amount of dust around the windows. I did find a curly hair stuck on the shower room door frame about my shoulder level (I'm 6-3). My guess is that one of the cleaning person may have just brushed up against it, but I didn't have a moment to report it to front desk because I was working a lot. I give that the benefit of the doubt and completely understand. Overall, unless something drastically changes clean-wise, I'll be coming back to stay there often.
