Really excellent Omakaze — well worth the price. We left full and very satisfied. Persia was a delightful server as well. Overall a really great experience. I’m only dinging them one star because the music was loud and I had to have Persia repeat herself a few times describing each dish.

We’ll definitely go back.

My second time. I've sat in the bar and main dining room area which have two different menus so that the kitchen can focus on both areas.

Wagu beef is absolutely wonderful- one of the best Ive tasted. Very well balance with sauces and two type of potatoes. Their potato appetizer is delicious.The churros were the perfect size and crunch. I recommend getting a side of ice cream to balance the crunch with the smoothness of the ice cream.

Overall the atmosphere was good.. Good service.

I wish on the menu, they better describe the chicken buns- another table got them and it looked delicious. We would have ordered them too.

The waiter to the table needs to know the menu a tab bit better. Most of the time, he seem loss what was in each dish. We can order more when we have a better understanding. But he was good overall, perhaps he was new.

Also the open kitchen and being able to watch the head chef lead the service is always a good experience.

What an AMAZING experience at Cranes. We went on a double date with our kid and figured Japanese spanish fusion sounded very interesting. And wait a minute,its a sake bar too?!? Most of the attached images are from our first visit to this acclaimed michelin star restaurant.

We knew we were off to a super pleasant evening when our first issue came up. How is this a sake bar but you only have wine pairings for the omakase? After a very quick chat, the somelier of course obliged with ageeeing to a sake pairing. Crisis averted.

The meal itself was incredible, each dish touched all of our senses and great textures. One of my favorites was the watermelon radish crudo, the fish dish(white fish not sure exactly what it was other than the crispiest skin i have ever had and delish)  along with the lamb. I would have licked my plate if we weren't in such a fancy establishment! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the beauty of the chess looking papas bravas. The best tasting art work ever! This was separate from the omakase as we have a weakness for them.

Each dish as I mentioned before came with a sake pairing. I jokingly said each came with a book report explanation which we thoroughly enjoyed. We learned a lot about sake in the 15 minutes total we interacted with the somelier. To the point where he invited us to their sake event in September which was also amazing. If you like sake or want to learn more about it, this IS the place.

Travel isn't terrible as there is plenty of nearby parking and entertainment. We visited from Baltimore and just walked around to sober up after. The neighborhood they are in is a couple blocks from Capitol One Arena.

Highly recommend the trip! We all agree that this is our favorite restaurant!

Went for an all you can eat brunch for 48$. Very tasty food with small portions, which made it very easy to share with 4 ppl. There are plenty of items on the AYCE menu. Thw ramen was the only item that was a bit hard to share. The yuzu ginger mocktail was the perfect balance between sweet and tart. Great service and nice ambiance. Would definitely return for the brunch.

My family and I went for the tasting menu and it was perfect for our appetite for variety of creative foods. Love the Spanish/Japanese fusion. Everything tasted great. At each course, we eagerly waited for what the chief had prepared for us.
