After a maze of a walk trying to locate a Vietnamese restaurant, our tireless search prompted by frustration led us to the Estuary.  This calming, yet sophisticated spot nurtures the right atmosphere to settle down for a delightful culinary experience.  I had the lump crab cake sandwich and it did not disappoint.  The brioche roll was soft and pliable allowing the crab meat to settle in just to wow my tastebuds… and boy did it.  The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned to compliment the sandwich.  The service was impeccable and very attentive.  If you live in the area, shame on you if you have not dined at the Estuary and if you plan to visit the area, please put it on your list.  I was in town from Florida for a weekend getaway.  I am back home as I write this review,  and I wish I was there for seconds.  Enjoy…

We have had breakfast and light dinner at Estuary Conrad hotel , always consistent and friendly service. Great location and view of city center plaza. Favorite for breakfast croissant egg sandwich, for dinner had Maryland blue crab cake excellent..

I enjoyed myself at the Estuary.  I was in DC for the weekend and was fortunate that this restaurant washotethe hotel.  The servers and hostesses were pleasant, and the food was delectable.
The first night, I had the seared salmon with roasted cauliflower and tomatoes.  Everything was seasoned to perfection.  My salmon was perfectly cooked, and the skin had a nice crunch.  Also, I had the Weingut Spreitzer Riesling, which had a subtle level of sweetness to go alongside my meal.
The next day for breakfast, I had the Eggs Benedict with crab.  My eggs were poached well, the hollandaise sauce was smooth, and the crabcake was meaty.  I thoroughly enjoyed my meals atthe Estuary.

We made a last minute dinner reservation and I’m so glad we did! Beautiful and relaxing restaurant. Food was delicious, interesting and some of the best I’ve had in awhile. I had the beets with whipped goat cheese to start and then the summer squash pesto pasta. The biggest plus was the kids menu for my picky 5 year old. It’s hard to find restaurants that serve creative food that my husband and I genuinely want to eat AND  that also have a menu for the littles. The servers were very prompt and attentive. We will eat here again when we’re back in town!

I'm so glad that Filipino food had such a nice glow up here!

Estuary is located inside of Conrad D.C. and it's a wonderful restaurant with an array of dishes available. My partner and I ate here for brunch and dinner. Our brunch consisted of avocado toast, a brisket burger, and egg souffle. Our dinner consisted of a Caesar salad, asparagus risotto, seafood sinagang, and cheesecake. All of our dinner dishes were beautifully plated and tasted as good as it looked! The seafood sinigang was full of different seafoods including rockfish, mussels, and shrimp - all of which were perfectly cooked and paired well with the tangy, but not too sour, tamarind broth. My partner's asparagus risotto was perfect according to her. The cheesecake was easily the best cheesecake we've ever had.

Both of our waiters were great and took great care of us!

We loved our stay at the hotel and will definitely be back at Estuary during our next stay!

Vi väljer denna plats för vårt årsdag och vi blev inte besvikna. Lokalen var i hjärtat av lyxdistriktet som överfördes till mat och upplevelse. Maten var väldigt kreativ och läcker med några härliga oväntade matstunder! Drycker och service var lika bra som maten.

Matsalen var liten och pittoreska med ett friluftskök och utsikt över staden som skapar en trevlig atmosfär. Det mötte våra förväntningar och jag skulle äta där igen!

Vårt parti på 9 kände inte kärleken när drycker och aptitretare sippra in efter att beställningar så småningom togs. Allt vi beställde var väl presenterade och smakade bra, men tjänsten halterade och huvudrätter kom inte alla ut tillsammans. Stort rum med en bra atmosfär på ett trevligt läge på Conrad Hotel.

Vi hade brunch på en söndag. Platsen var inte full och maten tog evigt att komma till oss. Du kan se in i köket som är ett enormt misstag för denna plats. Du kan se bristen på ledarskap och brådskande och det gör dig bara mer frustrerad när det tar hela dagen för din mat att komma fram. 22 $ för medioker Avacado toast är löjligt. Jag hade en fantastisk Avacado toast i Nashville på mjölk och honung som skulle göra detta till skam för $ 12. Slösa inte din tid eller pengar här.

Estuary restaurang Jag tyckte bra, men behöver en mer expansiv meny. Maten behöver mindre natrium, vilket gör att man kan lägga till efter sin egen smak.

Hade en härlig lördag morgon frukost med en krabba och kronärtskocka fransk omelett med fantastiska potatis och rågskål med en marmelad. Det var så bra. Äter vanligtvis inte på hotellrestauranger men det var helt värt det.

Att komma dit och atmosfär: Det är lite förvirrande att hitta när du går in i byggnaden, men personalen är mycket välkomnande och hjälpsamma för att hitta restaurangen. I huvudsak, när du går in i lobbyn måste du ta hissen till 3: e våningen och gå runt hörnet. Värdinnan var välkomnande, och hon tog ner mitt namn, vilket jag inte förväntade mig. Men anledningen till att hon tog ner mitt namn beror på att servitören skulle ringa dig av Herr Efternamn, som i sig var en ganska cool detalj. Restaurangen är ljus, särskilt på en solig dag eftersom den är omgiven av stora fönster, vilket är bra att ta med naturligt ljus i restaurangen. Det finns ett öppet kök så att du kan se kockens matlagning också.

Maten: Servitören händer en väldesignad meny, och det finns bara två sidor på menyn när du öppnar den. Jag beställde Maryland Crab Roll och Fried Calamari för min huvudsakliga måltid och Cookies och Cream till dessert.

MD Crab Roll var fantastisk! Brödet var krispigt och smörigt, och du kan höra crunchen när du skivar igenom den. Krabban i sig är saftiga och kalla, vilket blandar sig väl med rullens värme. Det kom också med 3 krabba formade marker, som var ganska unik. Stekt Calamari var utsökt! Jag njöt verkligen av det, eftersom det inte är täckt av smeten som de flesta ställen som säljer Fried Calamari, så det var perfekt för att prova bläckfisken och tugga texturen, vilken var mjuk och inte gummiaktig. Cookies and Cream var en fantastisk överraskning som jag inte förväntade mig att utformas på det här sättet, och det var helt enkelt Estuarys vision för deras Cookies and Cream. Det har en bra mängd choklad, och det är inte alltför sött, vilket är bra. Det var ett gott sätt att avsluta måltiden.

Sammantaget kommer jag definitivt att återvända för att prova sina andra rätter, och möjligen deras Tonfisk Tartare eftersom min servitör rekommenderar det starkt. Detta är en bra plats och platsen kunde inte vara bättre.

Min fru och jag hade en foodie vän som var i staden besöker från Aviano Air Base, Italien. De tre av oss har ätit på många restauranger, framför allt kockens smakprov när de erbjuds. Vi hade hört att Voltaggio bröderna just hade öppnat upp flodmynningen (men tekniskt vid tiden för vårt besök är det fortfarande bara en mjuk öppning) och var glada att prova. Vi gjorde reservationer för 6: 30 på en söndag kväll men som vi hade varit ute hela eftermiddagen, och min fru och jag var tvungna att köra en timmes hem efter middagen försökte vi få vår reservation tid ändras. Vi gjorde ursprungligen bokningen på Open Table och via appen kunde vi inte ändra vår tid. Jag ringde och pratade med värdinnan, och hon sa att det inte skulle vara något problem att byta till en tidigare tidpunkt.

Efter att ha sittande vi omedelbart hälsades av vår server. Han var utmärkt med att beskriva menyn och objekten på den. En snygg liten egenskap av menyn är en karta som visar var alla ingredienser skördades / fiskas på. Efter att ha diskuterat vad vi kanske skulle kunna beställa för förrätter och entr es, frågade vår server om vi skulle vilja prata med sommelier om ett vin att para med våra måltider. Vi kastade lite av en curveball som jag beställer en lammrätt medan min fru och vän beställer fisk. Sommeliern nämnde att en chardonnay skulle kunna para ihop, men jag föredrar min chardonnay oakier än min fru gillar. Han lyckades hitta en som var rätt i den ljuva fläcken av oakiness för oss båda. Vinet gick perfekt med allt vi beställde.

Under middagsservice var oklanderlig. Våra vattenglasögon fick aldrig mindre än hälften full och vi hade vin hällt när vi började bli låga. Måltiderna kom ut seamlessly, entr es snart efter aptitretare var rensas och tabellen återställs, efterrätt följer i samma herrgård.

Övergripande kvaliteten på maten var enastående. Tons djup och smak, med alla komponenter som kompletterar varandra mycket bra.

Vår största besvikelse är att det inte fanns någon provsmakning meny. Eftersom det är en helt ny restaurang som fortfarande inte har haft sin stora öppning var det helt bra med det. Jag föreställer mig att detta kommer att vara ett alternativ när de är fullt uppspolade med alla menyalternativ som räknats ut.

Jag rekommenderar starkt Estuary till någon och frågar att om du går inom nästa månad eller så, ge dem lite utrymme som de blir bosatte sig i.

Crab roll var enastående, skinkan starter var stor och tjänsten kunde inte ha varit bättre. Alla människor på Conrad var väldigt trevliga för oss. Jag gillade Hangerbiffen men fann Sellerirot att vara obehaglig. Torsken var riktigt bra och inte besviken. Vår servitör gjorde hela upplevelsen för oss och vi var väldigt glada att vi hade henne.

Stor och innovativ mat och fantastisk service. Denna restaurang är formellt planerad att öppna i april men du kan få ett bord nu som de redan testar och perfektar menyn. Jag kan se denna restaurang blir riktigt stor snart maten är fantastisk. Det smakar bra, ser ut som en konstverk, kommer med bra vin och drycker, och servicen är fantastisk. Prova fiskpinnarna, Parkerrullarna och krabbanrullarna. Jag skulle rekommendera att gå dit och beställa 4-5 aptitretare och en entree delas för att ha en bra provsmakning meny. Merparten av maten är lokaliserad lokalt och inspirerad av traditionella Chesapeake bay cuisine, men är fortfarande super kul och modern.

Fyra vänner gick dit till lördagskväll middag eftersom det kom mycket hyped eftersom det var den senaste platsen öppnades av de två Voltagio bröderna som kom till berömmelse i Top Chef serien.
Platsen är mycket snygg och ganska sparsom, den har en fin utsikt över parken och byggnaderna i det nya high-end City Center-komplexet i DC.
Vi fick ett bord vid ett fönster med en titt på parken osv. När vi satte sig, var vi tvungna att fråga servern om att hon kunde få musiken sänkt lite eftersom det var så högt att vi inte kunde höra varandra , så småningom kom musiken ner. Den höga nivån förhöjdes troligen eftersom platsen inte hade någon matta och det finns inga bordsdukar.
Vi beställde drycker och de kom efter en lång väntetid trots att platsen var nästan tomt eftersom vi var där tidigt runt 6: 40 pm.
Vi fick menyerna som enligt min mening var koncisa och med inte alltför många val.
Servern berättade att det fanns inga specialerbjudanden annat än menyn. Menyn var uppdelad i "för bordet" och "för dig". Valet "för bordet" var ganska varierat och mycket aptitretande, valet "för dig" var begränsat och inte alltför spännande.
Var och en av oss valde att beställa flera av bordskålen för oss själva och berättade för servern och vi berättade också för henne i vilken ordning vi ville ha dem tjänat. När disken började vi insåg servern hade antingen ignorerat våra önskningar eller någon skruvas upp. Rätterna kom slumpmässigt och leveranserna (som inte var servern) hade ingen aning om vem som hade beställt vad, en stor nej i min bok.
Rätterna var vackert presenterade men helt utan smak. En av oss beställde de färska ostronerna på halvskalet som menyn beskriver dem som serveras med "mignonette" sås och när de kom till bordet serverades de med vanlig röd cocksåsås och någon annan slags sås men inte mignonette. De serverades också utan ostrongaffel eller någon annan redskap för att äta dem. När vi frågade servern om en ostrongaffel kom chefen och sa att kockarna ansåg att gafflarna inte var nödvändiga eftersom ostronen hade blivit helt shucked. När hon frågades om mignonette sås berättade hon för oss att detta var deras version, inte mycket tillmötesgående.
En av oss beställde en avokado confit som var brutto, 1/2 avokado med några andra grönsaker i skålen och mycket liten sås. Tonfisk t rtara var smaklös. Sashimi saknar - glans.
Vi var så upprörda, att vi lämnade utan att försöka en av de enda få efterrätterna som erbjuds.
Stycket de motstånd var när vi hade vår valet parkering biljett validerad och vi fortfarande fick betala $ 14. 00 för att få bilen.
Det finns många förstklassiga restauranger i DC så jag behöver inte gå tillbaka.
