I loved my first visit to the restaurant! Aron’s service was outstanding—he was incredibly kind, patient, and his suggestions were exceptional. We felt so welcomed and taken care of.

The food? Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend going during brunch hours. The atmosphere is cozy, and the decor tells a story through its beautiful paintings.

It was such a pleasant experience that we returned for breakfast two days later. Unfortunately, Aron was off that day, but we still enjoyed our visit.

We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

A long standing DC institution. Busy but a great place to go around a holiday for the decorations. The service is excellent and the food (on the very extensive menu) is good. For sure feels a little bit of a tourist trap but that is expected. Do not get stuck in the very back where it feels like you are eating in an office lobby. Interestingly the buffalo wings were very nice.

I just had the pleasure of dining at the historic Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington D.C. and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! As the oldest saloon in D.C., established in 1856, I was excited to see if it lived up to its reputation. I'm thrilled to report that it exceeded my expectations in every way.

The staff, especially Christopher at Old Ebbitt Grill were truly amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. Our server, Christopher, was knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The entire team worked together seamlessly to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

The food, of course, was also top-notch. As one of the most successful independent restaurants in America, Old Ebbitt Grill has clearly perfected its craft. From classic American dishes to fresh seafood and steaks, there's something for everyone on the menu. I was impressed by the quality and presentation of each dish, and the portions were generous to say the least.

What really sets Old Ebbitt Grill apart, though, is its rich history and charming ambiance. The restaurant is filled with antique decor and nostalgic touches that transport you back in time. It's the perfect spot to experience a piece of American history while enjoying a delicious meal.

This was our favorite spot in DC. Great location, we love the vibe and they have great oysters. Happy hour is 3-5pm or 11pm-1am. We never had a reservation, always seemed to get lucky grabbing a spot at the bar, but I would definitely recommend getting a reservation because this place is always packed! The lentil curry soup had amazing flavor and the cocktails were great as well. 👌 If Sadie is there, I would have her serve you because she was great! We loved her!

A DC staple and classic restaurant. The best crabcakes the city has to offer! Menu is vast and delicious. Atmosphere is rich in history and the staff/bartenders are some of the best in the business. The crab dip is a must, along with the Caesar salad. I ordered the scallops as well and they were cooked to perfection, in a dish that overall had a near perfect flavor pairing. The espresso martini was very good. Stop in for a happy hour, business lunch, or grab a seat at the bar and meet some people traveling through - you won’t be disappointed!
